As someone who has come to this bar regularly to watch Knicks playoff games, I can confidently say…read moreI will never return after what happened during the NBA Finals last night. What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks

I hate people that write reviews online. Especially douche bags that complain about the consistency of blue cheese, or other equally asinine ruminations. It is in my experience that when people take the time out of their day to contribute to reviews of local business (i.e. yelp) it is most generally only to lodge a complaint, or whine, as the case may be. I, as a local-business supporting Brooklynite, would like to buck the trend, and instead rave obnoxiously about The Wing Bar, which has now become a second home to both my boyfriend and I, as we frequent the establishment (on average) 2 to 4 times a week. Literally. We started coming in the Summer, y a mere few days after Wing Bar graced Smith Street with its illustrious presence. Cobble Hill, albeit a pleasure to inhabit, has been overwrought recently with over-priced, over-yuppified establishments that are neither welcoming nor worth the $13 for an over-cooked burger. Aside from the fact that Big Stan and co. make the best damn barbecue sauce I have ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth, The Wing Bar is one of the most jovial places to spend a weekend afternoon. The whole fam who owns the join (Brian, Allie, Pete, Ash, Brooke) has become some of our good friends, and we love them to death. They always greet us with a smile and a hug, and some great conversation, even though the Florida gators can kiss my ass... but that's a whole 'nother story. Being price conscious (read: cheap) as well as brew-fanatics (read:alcoholics), we couldn't find a better place offering $7.50 pitchers of cold, Rocky-tapped Coors Light. Sure, there are other bars that try to compete (*cough* Peoples Republic of Brooklyn *cough*), but who really wants to go to a place that has a live saxophone player at 11am, eggs benedict, wings, and a random television offering athletic events? Seriously. Pick your audience. Yes, there's usually a football/baseball/basketball game on at Wing Bar. And yes, shockingly enough, they do indeed serve wings. So if you don't like either of those things, not only are you obviously a communist, but you should probably venture elsewhere. In summary, this place has some of the best food I've had in my life, you can get drunk for 15 bucks (which I probably, in retrospect, should've put at the beginning of this sentence, because even as I write this I realize that was way more enticing then food), and you can have some really good company. Also before I close, I need to shout out to Jess, my favorite ginger-haired (yeah babe, that just happened) Sunday bartender, who consistently has us laughing our asses off during out 6 hour bar stool venture. The Monday through Friday haul can be tough most of the time, as I'm sure all of you can attest to. The Wing Bar on the weekends offers a much welcome summation to an otherwise hectic work week. It is truly a pleasure that we look forward to every Friday, without which we would not only be more broke than we are now, but definitely, way more stressed out. read more

Are you one of those people that couldn't eat spicy at all? That cries and call for moma every time something that even resembles a hot pepper crosses your path? Well, come to the Wing Bar and prepared to be amazed. Sure, you could come here because the wings are meaty, served piping hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Yeah, the BBQ flavor was coated in a thick BBQ sauce that was tasty but ever so slightly on the sweet side. You could even come here and order the "mild" buffalo wings which is coated in a slightly watery version of the hotter sauce while still retaining a great flavor. BUT... where is the fun in that? Instead, come and order the "hot". I know what you are thinking. I can't take hot. I'm going to order the mild or BBQ instead. Well fear not young Yelper. This place's "hot" wings have been fully tested by two other professional non spicy tolerant Yelpers and is certified to be "not hot at all". So go ahead, bring that special someone that have been calling you a wimp all your life. Impress them with your new found ability to swallow a whole order of 10 pieces of the hottest buffalo wings from this bar without even breaking a sweat, then go ahead and laugh at that special someone's face. On the other hand, If you think eating spicy till you turn as red as some of the peppers and/or sweating buckets of water is more important than just having your wings taste good, you need to look elsewhere. For you people, go a bit further and head to Bonnie's Grill instead and order their off the menu "secret" hottest sauce for their wings. ********************************************************* Heat level of the hottest buffalo wings from a scale of one to five, five being the hottest. 2.5 I debated about taking a point off for not having a hotter sauce option but decided they tasted good despite it. read more

I don't write many reviews but when I am amazed one way or the other, I take the time out to say something. A sign in the front of the store says " best wings in the world " . they were some of the worst wings I ever had. So bad that Any worse I would have thrown them in the garbage. They were tiny, dry and tasteless. Looking at some of their other reviews it was either a bad day or most people don't even know what good wings taste like. Angry Wades bar has frozen wings they dump in a deep fryer. they are three times better. I also ordered fried Brussels sprouts from their small menu. They were out! If it were my place, I would have sent one of the workers that were always busy talking and laughing with each other, to Key Food a few blocks away to get some for my customers. The crowd seems to know each other. If you want to drink beer hang out and don't care about wings, this might be the place for you. To be fair, I did not try any of the other food, but it is called the WING bar. read more

Without a doubt, these are the best wings I've ever tasted! The hot chicken wings had an amazing crunch that made every bite enjoyable, and the flavor was simply out of this world. As for the ribs--oh my goodness! They were incredibly tender, with a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess that left me craving more. I love this place! Having lived in Carroll Gardens for many years I've seen how many places come and go but this place is solid! I really enjoy coming when the dynamic duo two ladies are working behind the bar (redhead and curly haired brunette) they always have great tunes and cute outfits. I went to college in buffalo and I've gotta say these are the closest I've come to real buffalo wings. My only complaint is that sometimes the delivery takes too long and my roommate wishes they have veggie nachos. read more

I went in there to buy wings. The tall Hipster bony bartender didn't give me carrots with my order so I asked for some. He gave them to me -- but not before licking his hands twice while putting the carrots in a container. I was grossed out by the dweeb! Maybe we caught them on an off day, but the long wait really overshadowed the experience. Since I was only in the area for work, I probably won't be back, but I hope the slow service was just a one time issue.

She looked at me and told me and told me she forgot to put my order in. I was so confused, I asked her how no one was in here when I got it you were standing at the counter. I was the only one in here when I told you my order. I went back to my table. She then followed me to my table and asked me my order again. Very tired, very annoyed and very hungry. I told her my order, AGAIN. When she bought the burger back, it was incorrect., When I told her the burger was incorrect, she began to tell me because I acted like I didn't wanna tell her what I wanted on the burger when she came over to ask me the second time. By this point, I was angry. I got off work late. I decided to have a little birthday cheat meal and this is how I ended my birthday night, an Incompetent waitress, No Food, and a terrible evening because of Poor Service. Definitely disappointing.

I have always loved wing wagon. They used to be my go to…read morewing spot but they are now under new ownership and I feel like the quality has gone down. I only keep going because they make small wings and most places make big wings.
