5 Vings Combo (I forgot to take a picture)

What do you do when you're in a part of town that you normally don't go and need something to eat? Yelp it! Located in East Atlanta Village in a little while in the wall off of busy Flat Shoals Ave there is no parking and street parking is a pain. I drove around for about 5 minutes before I was lucky enough to find a spot. I ordered the vings(vegan wings) with a mixture of honey hot and sweet chili sauce with French fries. The French fries were seasoned a little too well as they were on the salty side. The vings were actually pretty tasty.

Pros: Food was fresh Wait time was 15 mins The vegan wings were good Parking was in front of the building and across the street Cons Price for 5 vegan wings and fries with drink is $19 Vegan wings made with gluten and soy There is no sign in front of the building so it's hard to locate I think the pros out weigh the cons and I will definitely be back.

This place is so bomb! And the customer service is so nice, shoutout KiKi!! Must try

I live in EAV and previously enjoyed the wings. Looks like they struggle with a good supplier but still high prices for the size of the wing. The photos show a typical restaurant 2 oz container for sauces(ranch and blue cheese pictured) compared to the wing sizes. The hot flavor was decent, the blue cheese was good, but the wings were just too small.

Do not come here if you're looking for the vegan wings. They do not sell them here you have to go to their second location.

The weekend is for wings, but it can be tricky to find good wings during quarantine. After a lot of yelp detective work we decided on The Wing Bar. Initially, we called in after viewing the menu on yelp and the phone only rang once or twice they picked up quickly. After placing the order which was very detailed the lady taking the order didn't repeat it to us. My boyfriend instantly panicked because my food requests are specific and can make or break my dining experience. The young lady on the phone provided confirmation that it would be ready in 10 minutes, the total amount and told us to go ahead and come to the restaurant. We ordered two 10pc wing combos and of course while my boyfriend opted for the basics, I went for the gusto. I ordered the mild honey wings and lemon pepper wet. It made sense to split them up and try two of the flavors at once. The wings are crispy which is what I like and despite other reviews the fries were perfect. They also have a new health score of 91 which is great. The wings were crunch on the outside and sauced to perfection. The mild honey was good, but I didn't taste any honey. I also thought they were more on the hot side and could have been sauced better. There was a lot of sauce in the bottom on the fries which was tasty, but I would of liked my wings to be fully sauced. I probably won't order that flavor again. The lemon pepper wet were good and just the perfect wing overall. The had enough lemon pepper and the perfect amount of sauce. These will be my go to moving forward. The combos come with a drink or bottled water which is good and were only $10.99 which is a great meal price. They were literally ready in 10 minutes and there was no wait which is a good thing. I will definitely be visiting this place again and trying some of the other flavors.

Best Vegan wings in Atlanta! Hands down, highly recommend and the staff are always courteous!

First off, this is a black owned restaurant in EAV, so we came out to support after protesting all day! I got lemon pepper and hot wings and fries. The wings were smaller than I thought they'd be, but still had a lot of meat on them. ALSO the side of fries was HUGE. The flavor of the lemon pepper off the charts. The hot, delicious. The fries were seasoned and made a 10 min car drive without getting soggy. Definitely will be revisiting. Something to note, they are a very busy business so order over the phone / ahead! Lastly - they have vegan offerings!! I'll have to try those next.

I came here the day I heard they had vegetarian wings(vings)! Parking is dreadful and the place really is a pick-up only spot because inside is very small but the staff was warm and pleasant. I ordered Vings combo with lemon pepper sauce and crinkle fries and bottled water. Then a 5 piece order of Vings wings sweet chili sauce and Sriracha sauce. Everything is made to order, fries were crispy with some season salt and wings were hot and DELICIOUS!! Bonus: they have vegan ranch and bleu cheese dressing.

Lucky I love these wings and this area, cause I would have walked out. 10min texting

Stayed on the phone texting before asking me if I needed help. Lucky the wings good .

Ask the Community - The Wing Bar

What are the vings made of?

Not sure about what they're made of, sorry. What I do know is that the Flat Shoals Ave. location doesn't serve them anymore. So, if you're going to try them out, you'll have to grab them from the other location! If you're fortunate to get an order,…

On the menu it says vegetarian wing. Do we know if the Ving's are vegan as reviews imply?

Yes, the "vings" are vegan wings that are apparently extremely popular. We didn't try them during our visit but we were told that they sell out almost as quickly as they can get them in.

There's a large drinks menu that I can't comment on a teetotaler. I would've preferred a couple more non-alcoholic options, but I was able to get a flavored soda water so I didn't feel completely left out. The starters were the star of the menu to me. I had a great time ordering and sharing with my party, trying a bit of everything. Everything was delicious and beautiful. My single critique is that I wanted more of several items which is hardly a critique at all. Unfortunately I was somewhat let down by the vegan main which was a risotto with seasonal veg. The flavor was a little thin and it felt like a bit of an after thought compared to the other mains at my table. While I'm glad there's a vegan option, I'm not actually vegan! I just wanted the seasonal veg made to the chef's preference and was disappointed with the result. Everyone else at the table was thrilled with their meals though! Overall it was a tasty and enjoyable experience, though a few changes could've made it better.

Both were amazing, but the pepperoni butter that came with the fry bread was everyone's favorite. For my main, I ordered the lamb pappardelle, which was delicious. The pasta was fresh and the ragu was so flavorful. I also got to try the scallop ravioli and the potato parfait that came with the strip steak--all of it was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. As we were leaving, we noticed they were setting up a DJ booth for some live music. It looks like a really fun spot, and we can't wait to go back!

We placed a reservation online and arrived a little early to fight the ATL traffic, and our table was still ready for us. The standout at this location to us was the service. I also had a cocktail which tasted carefully crafted. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well, the decor was hip and right in our style. First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

We came here for a birthday dinner celebration and we met with great customer service and a lovely atmosphere. There was a jazz trio performing, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. We were seated in an area that had a lot of traffic so some of us were bumped multiple times by servers, food going over our heads, people swinging their jackets, it just seemed as if the tables were a bit too close together. The food. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, the fried green tomatoes, and the pork belly. All of these were delicious, though we did feel like the tomatoes could've been a little crispy. The Carolina gold sauce on the pork belly was a nice tangy combination with the protein, and the shrimp had a surprisingly good sauce. The issue that we fell into with two urban licks were the mains ... We felt that the rotisserie chicken was a bit dry, and flavor was confusing as it was presenting as tandoori, but had an underlying flavor we just couldn't get into. The market fish on the menu for the day was a red snapper, and it didn't come with any sides, but it seemed like the fish was simply fried in the oil and it didn't have any seasoning or underlying flavor which we were disappointed in. The Hawaiian wahoo fish was a bit overcooked, and the "jerk" short ribs leaned more habanero salsa in the taste. The coconut rice and peas that went along with it was also dry, without coconut taste, and missed the mark for us. We are Caribbean and this was a disappointment to experience. The description on the page oversold it just a bit. We were able to call the manager, and they removed the chicken dish from our bill and took half of the final price of the short rib from our bill as well, and that was appreciated! Looking around the restaurant, it seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal, though we could never know what conversations were being had at those tables, and it just seems like this restaurant was not for us personally! Great service, but due to the food, we don't plan to return

I only found out when I got the bill. When I questioned it, she basically said she couldn't control the system. My issue isn't even the $3. If you're out of the side that comes with the meal, customers shouldn't have to pay extra for a replacement. And I definitely don't appreciate surprise charges on my bill. I had my child with me, so I wasn't about to go back and forth over $3. I paid it and kept it moving. Another surprise was that they don't offer free water. The music couldn't decide what vibe it wanted. One minute we could talk normally, and the next minute we were basically at a concert. There was also a leak in the ceiling, and near the restrooms there was a smell that reminded me of old wet towels. On the positive side, the host was amazing. He was super personable and welcoming. They also turn those tables over FAST. By the time we paid, our dishes were gone and the table was already cleaned and ready for the next group. The food is what saved this review. As somebody who genuinely loves food and especially Italian sandwiches, I ordered the Italian Grinder for pickup. Now, a little context. I'm a newer parent, and that day I was dressed casually sweats, hoodie, hat, just running around handling life. Nothing crazy. I only mention that because when I went in to pick up my order, the interaction left me uncomfortable. Two employees greeted me, and after I confirmed my name for the pickup, one of them held onto the bag tightly and asked me again if I was sure the order was mine, joking about making sure I wasn't stealing it. I laughed it off in the moment, but honestly, I couldn't fully tell if it was meant as a joke or not. And to be fair, I don't want to assume malicious intent or act like I know what was in that person's heart. But I also have to be honest about how it felt. I genuinely don't believe that same joke or comment would've been made to somebody who looked less "threatening," older, or dressed differently than me. Whether intentional or unconscious, moments like that stick with people. I'm a father, a dancer, a creative, and somebody who tries to greet people warmly and respectfully wherever I go. So walking out of there, I just felt a little judged instead of welcomed. The sandwich itself? Solid. Definitely good food. I'd give the grinder a 4 out of 5. But food is also tied to experience, and unfortunately the interaction took away from it for me. I don't think I'll be going back, but I do hope this feedback is received with understanding and not defensiveness, because perception and hospitality matter too.

On a scale of 1-5, Mr. Cream Cheese French Toast and Grits Bowl ranked it 10! "Grits were magical, better than Milk and Honey." Teen's Simple Breakfast (potatoes, eggs and bacon) and French Toast "blew IHOP out of the water!" Preteen ranked his Simple Breakfast and side of French Toast "5 quintillion!" The bacon was a bit tough but the bread blew him away! Kiddo - ranked her kids breakfast (large fruit-topped pancake with eggs and bacon) 6 out of 5! Would we return and recommend? A resounding yes! This quaint, low-key family owned business with amazing food gets our vote every time.
