Wing Depot's got good-sized wings and the owner clearly cleans his fryers properly. The lemon pepper wings are delicious and I asked for them extra crispy- which he fried to perfection. I love it when the end of the drums are crispy enough to just bite right through them. They use a semi-dry saucing technique with real lemon juice and dry lemon pepper seasoning. This makes the wings stay nice and crispy. I also got the Nuclear sauced wings- sweet, tangy, but with a spicy heat that sneaks up on you! My eyes could feel the spiciness of the sauce as I brought the chicken wing close to my mouth and face. I can't quite place the sweetness because of the lingering burn at the back of my throat, but it's somewhat fruity. The burn itself lingers for a while, but in a good way. The spiciness washes away fairly quickly. The tanginess is very much a starting point for this sauce and it throws your palate into something of a dance. Would I recommend wing Depot? Yes. Good price great wings and the owner seems like a really nice guy. Something interesting to note about this particular place is that the owner knew most of his customers by name and even some passersby! That was cool. Have a nice sense of community to the place. A real downside, is that there's no indoor seating and the parking lot has recently been re-tarred - which makes a really bad smell that goes along with your food. I don't recommend eating at the picnic tables that are set up - even though they are covered- because of the smell of the tar, but with time that will go away. The man (possibly the owner based on other reviews) did kindly explain they cook to order so come back in 20 minutes. You don't have the option to wait inside so there is no ambiance. I wasn't able to wait, but a few days later I decided to order via door dash because the wings came highly recommended. My favorite place to eat. I live about a fifteen minute walk away and we've been eating here since I can remember. He only half coats my wings(and I'm not being picky about my sauce either, you can still see the chicken skin its so bad) and cooks them till they're dry. He's rude and snappish no matter how polite I am to him. One day he actually made me flinch and tear up because I was so startled that he rushed me... I love the guy with the mohawk and the larger woman with glasses. I'm not sure if they work there anymore, but if not, they need to bring them back because I always manage to catch those other two!
