Unfortunately this was due to miscommunication as they thought I only wanted to replace 75% of the curb facing siding... not sure why anyone would do that but okay miscommunication happens. Installation: where it was straight shiplap across the front, turned out fine. The window was promised to have a symmetrical thin border across as I was sent photos from the James Hardy website... attached you will see instead it is geometrically cut out to avoid the flashing... could have been made thin and uniform throughout however I was told that it was not possible. Many neighbors have gone through other companies and have the same sized retrofitted window but had the siding all done in the same manner. Mine is the only one that looks like this. Even the installer said "I think it looks cool, we never see it cut like that..." but when it comes to housing clean cut and uniform works for us. I was told later, this couldn't have been known before hand until the old siding and window edges were taken down. However the installer knew it from day 1 and said so to me. I believe that whoever the sales rep is should always be forthcoming with the possibilities of outcomes and what it may look like vs showing examples from the company website yet delivering something else. When I went up on the roof to paint the fresh wood I found multiple spots that were not caulked properly or nailed down. (See attached photos). These were fixed later when they came out to install and fix the remaining portion of siding that I had to pay for as well that I thought was included in the original quote. Again pleased with most of it but a major focal point is the front window which did not come out to expectations of what was originally shown. We told him if he can repair what is already there so that the locks work and he quoted us $400. We accepted that estimate and after he took it all apart, said he could not repair it so we told him go ahead and put it back together. We're gonna get other quotes. He says he cannot put it back together and he tried to leave with our Parts. I spoke to his manager Armando and Armando was very unprofessional. As you seen the picture, it was only eight screws that he had to put my stuff back together, but didn't do it instead he was upset because he cannot take advantage of my wife. Thank God, my wife called me to this matter I did not recommend these guys. I never will.

My experience:…read more So i reached out via yelp to andres and was replied to pretty quick. He was able to visit the following day to get measurements / estimate price. He was nice and explained everything. Plus gave suggestions... I gave a downpayment of 10% for everything to proceed. They then ordered it. Rough estimate would be 3-4 weeks for the entire process. They have a physical store in norco which was being run by Andres' wife. After 3 weeks or so give or take... i got a message that they were ready to install. Well within the time frame.... They informed me when they were on the way. They probably took roughly 2.5 hours. Lucas, Andres' son was present. Nothing was rushed and i saw how they handled everything... They can reuse your old door handle... but in my case, i bought a new one... just because. The price: It's pretty fair. It isn't cheap but you get what you paid for. For the peace of mind... ill do it again. Since i got a door replacement, everything was included. From removing the old one , to clean up, trash, installing... and thankfully.... the door i got doesn't need any paint. So it's pretty good. Threshold was top notch. And it seems water / insects wont be able to pop in. Will i choose to work with them again? Probably yes... Once i opt for a screen door... maybe in a couple more months once it gets a little bit cooler.

I opted for dual thickness glass (1/8" and 1/4") to help block the noise from the train, and am so happy I did. It was an extra $400 but well worth it. They removed my old French doors, installed the slider, along with white wood trim on the inside, and it looked great. Slides easily, and came with a screen. After the installers left I noticed a small defect in the track. It didn't seem to affect the functionality, but I notified the company and they came out and took a look. It was such a minor thing, but they decided to replace the entire frame, and did so in less than a week. We are very happy with how it looks, the quality, and the service. I will use them again. Highly recommend.

California Window Masters was the most competitive. I also decided to do the sale through CWM's manager, Greg. From the start, Greg was kind, honest, and candid. He addressed all my concerns and was able to install all my windows and the new slider before the estimated deadline. His team was professional as well. Victor led installation and had the help of one other person. They finished everything in a day, and were very considerate (e.g., putting plastic down to not stain the carpet, vacuuming up dust, cleaning the windows).
