Poor warranty service! They do not stand by the product! I…read morehad all new Milgard windows installed in my home in the 2003-2004 timeframe. The initial installation went well. Milgard offers a lifetime warranty on their windows. Speed ahead to 2026... Some of my Milgard windows began to fog and show drip marks between the panes. I called California Replacement Windows (they were an authorized Milgard dealer) to replace them per the warranty. I couldn't get anyone to answer and I called several times after that. No return calls even after voicemail. My wife also called several times....Nothing! I wrote to them using the email provided on their website and no response! I don't know if this company was sold or merged with another company, but based on this experience, I would never buy replacement windows from California Replacement Windows because they don't support their products. I am not dissatisfied with Milgard. Their product lasted 23 years before I needed service. I found Milgard's website and completed a warranty service request, and they scheduled an appointment and soon after replaced my windows completely free of charge.

Next time I'm in need of new windows etc., I'll be sure to look elsewhere. Update: There also appears to be gaps along the top exterior side of the other window - I heard some kind of large insect (we get alot of bees and wasps around my building) buzzing and trying to escape from inside there. Luckily the interior trim remained sealed on this window at least. But once again, I find myself disappointed with the installation.

California Window Masters was the most competitive. I also decided to do the sale through CWM's manager, Greg. From the start, Greg was kind, honest, and candid. He addressed all my concerns and was able to install all my windows and the new slider before the estimated deadline. His team was professional as well. Victor led installation and had the help of one other person. They finished everything in a day, and were very considerate (e.g., putting plastic down to not stain the carpet, vacuuming up dust, cleaning the windows). If I ever need new windows again, I know I'll go back to California Window Masters. I have great respect for Greg and the way he does business (no hard sell from him!). When we told him we were not certain about the style of doors for some of the items he urged us to sign the contract to take advantage of the discount and assured us we would be able to update via a change order. Nothing would be ordered until the choices were made and the change order was executed. We have done many remodeling projects over the years and change orders are standard so we had no reason to doubt his assurances. Since then he has overpromised and failed to deliver. Every time we texted or emailed to ask about the change order status he reiterated that it was with the office, everyone was aware, nothing would be ordered and the change order would be sent - tonight, tomorrow, next day...you get the picture. After weeks of waiting for the change order so we could move on the project, we tried to escalate a number of times because based on the reviews we expected better customer service. However, we were told we needed to resolve all the miscommunications and failed follow through with the salesman that had failed to follow through. Imagine our surprise when we got a text that some of the doors were ready for installation. The salesman was shocked as he had told us nothing would be ordered until the change order was signed. In an effort to salvage the project and because we wanted to believe the salesman, we allowed for partial installation. The installation was riddled with additional issues. Wrong hardware, wrong trim, no wood molding around the door. The salesman was apologetic and did not understand why there was a disconnect. After another few weeks of messages, emails and requests to escalate, we finally got confirmation that the salesperson and the director of revenue would come to our home at 2pm on 6/22. They arrived late 30 minutes late (even though my husband had made it clear he was meeting them during his lunch hour) and the director of revenue was defensive and put all blame on the misrepresentations made by their salesman on us. During the meeting the salesman told him that the remaining doors had not been ordered. After that meeting the company STILL had the salesman follow up to ask how we wanted to proceed. He was embarrassed at that point because he was telling us the company would be able to address our concerns and they hung him out to dry. Even though it wasn't our fault, in an effort to put this nightmare behind us and NEVER deal with them again, after a few exchanges with the director of revenue, we agreed to a resolution provided they completed the project by today. No response for over a week until this afternoon when they basically said 'thanks for agreeing to letting us do what we haven't done but keep bending over backwards so we can do it in our terms'. @owner of the company you should step in sooner and not wait for the online reviews to try justifying the experience. For all those that posted 1 star reviews in the last year we should talk about options. Based on your experiences I can tell is not the individual players. It's the company.
