I got several windows done with AVW back in 2017. I noticed the caulking on 2 windows inside the house were sticky so I checked the outside caulking and it had dried and flaked off. I called AVW and Valentin got back to me the next day and asked for some photos of the problem and he arranged to have someone come out to redo the caulking on 2 windows later in the week. Henry and Hector showed up as scheduled and did a great job and left the work area spotless. I am pretty particular but I was very pleased with their work which is saying a lot. I asked if they could check two other windows and they noticed some cracking on the caulking so they took care of those 2 windows the same day. They definitely went above and beyond the original work order. From me calling to report the issue to resolving it took less than a week. read more

I would not recommend this company. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My husband and I met with Ski at the end of a month, so what I'm about to say may be a result of any "end of month incentives," but I honestly cannot believe the encounter we had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Previously, we had received two other quotes from competitors. One of them highly recommended Simonton Daylight Max windows. When we talked to Ski about this option, he said while he sells them, he doesn't recommend them. He said they use tin on their screens and brackets. Instead, he pushed for Anlin (and when I say pushed, I mean, it was our only option given for our "price point"). The hardest part of this interaction was the hard sell we were given. First, we were given a price of $14K (3 windows and 1 slider), then he said he'd waive the labor fee, then he said there's a last-day-of-the-month discount, then there was a day-of discount but it was only good for TODAY ONLY!!! (Yes, that's how it was written on the estimate.) Even after all those discounts, it was still over $3K from the other bids we had gotten. All that said, we felt the pressure and we thought about giving in but really couldn't afford to pay over $8500. He was at $8800 (remember, it was first $14K). We asked him to come down another $300 and he said his manager said no, that we were getting the most amazing deal on windows. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then Ski proceeded to try to bribe us with an In N Out gift card he received for his birthday. This didn't sit well with me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It also didn't sit well that he told my dog to "watch where you're going," but that's me being a nutty dog owner, I guess.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When he couldn't get to $8500, he tried calling their Anlin supplier but couldn't reach him (he called him three times and left messages). At the end of the day we couldn't reach a deal, and Ski left. No thank you or goodbye. It was obvious he was unhappy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Look, I get it. He was here for over an hour and didn't get a sale. I'd be frustrated too. But the pressure he put on us, the other options he didn't want to share, and that big price tag really put us off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I know a lot of people on these reviews speak highly of Ski, and maybe we caught him on an off day. We could not be happier with our new windows that were sold and installed by American Vision Windows. Billy was the sales rep who came to our house, and we accepted his offer that day. No pressure at all, but how could we pass up such a great price on seven new windows? I had 20 windows installed at my home, including a sliding door, and I could not be happier with the sales process, quality of the Anlin Del Mar windows, and the installation itself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sales person, Ilyssa, was great. She took all window measurements, showed key qualities of the Anlin products, and quickly wrote up a thorough quote.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The quote was higher than a competitor I already met with, and she (after calling her manager) was able to provide a meaningful discount on the spot. The Anlin Del Mar windows are so well engineered and manufactured that Anlin provides an uncommon 'double lifetime' guarantee. And now that they are installed in my home, I can say that they indeed have great solar heat blocking ability and outside noise reduction performance, while also having a beautiful aesthetic quality about them. Glad I went with Anlin, though they are a bit more expensive than other brands I explored (e.g., Milgard). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only reason I didn't give American Vision Windows 5 stars in this review is because of the scheduling delay in installing the windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I ordered the windows in late March, and they were finally installed in early June. A major issue was that after the Anlin windows were received and at American Vision Windows warehouse, I then had to wait an additional 4-5 weeks due to the installer team's lack of availability.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That delay was not what I consider "delighting the customer", as they say in customer service industry parlance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hence, it appears that American Vision Windows needs more installers, especially during the "busy season."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The good news is that they do not subcontract installers. So they can stand behind and take full responsibility for the installation--which is critical. Presumably, many bad things can happen during the installation process with less careful and inexperienced installers. Fortunately, the installers that came to my house were consummate professionals. The 7-man crew consisted of Jesse (lead), Isidoro Jr., Carlos, Irving, Victor, Angel, and Zendejas. The quality of their work and overall professionalism was outstanding. They were also polite and answered various spontaneous questions I had, and installed the windows like they had done it a million times before. And they cleaned up well after their work was completed. So the crew was all around great. read more

$10,000 Spent. American Vision Windows Installed Our Window Over Rotten Wood and Then Tried to Charge Us $750 to Fix It. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after almost two years of trying to resolve this issue, I feel other homeowners deserve to know what happened. We invested nearly $10,000 with American Vision Windows because we believed we were hiring a company known for quality workmanship, integrity, and a lifetime warranty. On August 14, 2023, Andrew and his helper completed the installation of our windows. At no point during the installation were we told that the wood surrounding one of the windows was wet, soft, or rotten. The installation was completed, we made our final payment, and we trusted that everything had been done properly. Approximately two weeks later, Ralph came out to inspect the work and immediately discovered that the wood surrounding the window was soft and deteriorated. He explained that the window should not have been installed over rotten wood because the damaged wood needed to be repaired or replaced first. That left us with one obvious question: If the wood was already rotten, why was the installation completed in the first place? Why didn't Andrew or his helper stop the installation and notify us? Why weren't we given the opportunity to repair the wood before the window was installed? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of taking responsibility, Hugo, the Service Manager, informed us that after we repaired the rotten wood ourselves, we would still have to pay $750 just to have American Vision Windows remove and reinstall the window.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, according to American Vision Windows, we are expected to: Pay to repair or replace the rotten wood. Then pay an additional $750 to reinstall a window that should never have been installed over deteriorated wood to begin with. That is incredibly disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We reached out to Josh, the salesperson who originally earned our business, because we genuinely believed the company would stand behind its workmanship and make this right. Unfortunately, the issue remains unresolved.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This isn't about trying to avoid paying for rotten wood. We understand that damaged wood may require repair. Our concern is that the installation proceeded without informing us of the condition, and now we're being asked to pay an additional $750 for a reinstallation that could have been avoided had the issue been identified before completing the original installation. A company that promotes quality workmanship and a lifetime warranty should take ownership when something like this happens. Instead, we've been left frustrated, disappointed, and feeling like the responsibility has been shifted entirely onto the customer. American Vision Windows, we're asking you to do the right thing. Waive the $750 reinstallation fee and stand behind the workmanship your customers trust you to provide. Sadly, really not great! I had replaced all my windows in my home with Pella (25?). They're amazing. American vision windows convinced me their's were just as good but a better price tag. They are not anywhere near the quality. For one, they do not latch/lock/unlatch well AT ALL. The entire window bends when not 150% lined up AND they don't line up well. They are wobbly in the frames. Almost seem like they could pop out. They also scratch and dent SO EASILY. I can't even imagine how they have so many scrateches. All of them look older than my 62 year old original windows now 8 years later. My Pella's are much older and still pristine, so AVW are using soft inferior wood. The frames are also just thiner/flimsier. Also...the installation. UGH! I had major issues with guys not showing up and doing a poor job so they sent out "the boss". When they made one window smaller the stucco on the outside of the home does not match or look good. Pella - matched my stucco. The AVW stucco cracks and has had to be repaired and painted 3 times in 8 years and it still looks like crap. And to make matters worse...they suggested I use the Hero loan program. The entire project was $7670. I've paid $1040 a year for EIGHT years and I assumed it was almost paid off...and guess what I owe...$5520.88!!!!!! So I could have gotten Pella windows twice over!!! SO I now paid $13,872!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...For poorly installed inferior windows that look terrible now. Really the only way it could have been worse is if they had gone out of business after I paid - which would have been cheaper actually. Ive requested the contract as there is no way I knew it would be 73% interest!!! No way! There were endless lawsuits against HERO loans. Unfortunately I think Im screwed. GO WITH PELLA. read more

I am beyond impressed with American Vision windows! I gave them a call after buying a new home while I was shopping around for new windows to replace my old builder grade, and failed dual panes from the 90s. I worked with Billy, who handled the entire process of answering all my questions, and building a quote. What I loved about working with BIlly was that he was not only honest, but was NOT at all pushy in the sales process. He was up front about what I can expect, what timing looks like for ordering windows and gave me a great price up front. We didn't quibble over minor changes or upgrades and he just made the sales process easy and gave my wife and I the time and space to make a decision, even if it took us a few weeks to get back to him. Compared to the competition, American Vision windows was very reasonable in their pricing and they offered me the Anlin Del Mar windows, which is a nice upgrade from the Anlin Catalina that I was being quoted on by others. We decided to go with American Vision windows based on Billy's provessionalism. From there things stayed very good. Art was the engineer that came and took the meausrments and went over options and he was clear and concise in answering everything we needed. Our windows were ready in about 8 weeks and WOW am I impressed with the installers. I felt like they had surgical precision trimming the windows to make them fit between the planks of wood trim at my house and also with sealing them in place. They left ZERO and I mean ZERO excess silicone on the stucco and fit the seals perfectly. They also were able to remove a leaded glass window pane from my old window and fit it to the new one and didn't quibble about it in the least bit. My installers were Carlos, Big Eddie and their crew consisting of Carlos, Alfonso, Roberto, Ricardo, Suarez, Omar and Franco. Each one took SUPER care being inside my house, put down tarps everywhere, did a fantastically clean install and cleaned up after themselves as if nothing happened. They even cleaned the glass after install and I swear I don't see a spec of dirt on any windows. Big shout out to the install crew. I had American Vision install my sliders about 14 yrs ago and I had a break in and needed the glass repaired, the service was exceptional and very reasonable. Valentin did the set up and followed up with me as it was difficult to get parts from the window manufacturer.... but he got them. The installer Henry is an artist, the doors look brand new and he had issues with one after a botched attempt to repair from a glass company. I am very happy with my Anlin windows from American Vision. The entire process is very smooth starting with a competitive quote, custom building the windows, installation and finally maintenance over the years. They are very organized and their follow up has always been excellent. I had a window in a rental that needed to be fixed after many years and they made it very easy so I have to say one of the strongest selling points is that they will provide maintenance on your windows for a lifetime. There's nothing better than getting rid of the old metal frames and replacing it with modern materials and enjoying the quiet and better temperatures once installed.
