FOOD & DRINKS: We were seated around 12:45 PM and were essentially held hostage until 2:30 PM. The drinks and food took WAY too long to arrive. The small serving of their version of "home fries" were hot, quartered red potatoes and actually decent. Everything else? Cold. We had a 2 1/2-year-old with us, and naturally, their food arrived LAST. A 1/2 grilled cheese and waffle fries. Seriously... WTF? My traditional eggs Benedict was nothing to write home about: cold, barely any hollandaise, an extremely thin piece of "ham," and a small, untoasted, soggy English muffin. Not exactly the Benedict experience I was hoping for. About 45 minutes into our hostage situation, we somehow ended up with a second waitress. She apologized and said, "We're sorry for the wait, your waitress is dealing with something." Ok, fair enough, but unfortunately, WE were the ones dealing with the wait. Meanwhile, other tables came and went, including parties of 5+ who arrived after us and somehow received their food before we did. Make it make sense. After waiting nearly 25 minutes for our second drink, the second waitress came by to check on us. We asked for the check and said, "If that drink order hasn't been made yet, please cancel it." 60 seconds later... POOF! Miraculously, the drink appeared; watered down like it had been sitting on the bar for the previous 25 minutes. I didn't bother taking food pics because, by the time everything finally arrived, it was far too late to impress us, and we were READY TO GTFO. Friendly people, but the service was an absolute time warp. We came for brunch, not an extended-stay experience. 12:45 PM - 2:30 PM. That's not brunch. That's a shift we didn't apply for, didn't want, and definitely weren't getting paid for.

Wish I could give them 10+ stars, they deserve it. My daughter had a last minute wedding, and we searched for a place to have a small reception. Most restaurants refused to reserve a section for us. When we called the windmill they were immediately helpful. They even kept the restaurant open late to accommodate us. They were warm, and helpful, and kept reassuring my frantic daughter that all would work out. The food was great, service was fast. I cant say enough thank yous to them. If you need a place for a family gathering, or just a great meal, YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE WINDMILL!!!!! read more

I have been here so many times and just love the atmosphere! Today made me love it even more. I think it is great when an owner is involved in their business, being a business owner myself I find it keeps the staff motivated and on track which is what is happening here. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
