After an early morning meeting at a non profit organization in Concord, we were famished and someone recommended The Post. Spot on. Their large menu is made to suit every taste and dietary need. From the vegan to the carnivore, they have it. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant is a fairly large place but it seems like an intimate place with booths and widely spaced tables. Service was spotless, we entered and were seated immediately during the busiest time. Our server was quite hospitable and took the time to recommend and describe specials and sides. I had the three-egg omelet with the works. It was delicious. And plenty of coffee Excellent place that I'll keep in mind next time I'm in the Capital City of New Hampshire. read more

Ordered the take out Easter meal for 7 of us. Picked it up and they were already getting my order ready. Service was great. Each meal came prepared in its own container. The food was excellent and well prepared. Followed the directions on preparation and couldn't have asked for a better meal. Heard great things about The Post. Parking is a bit awkward, they have a private lot but it's limited to how many cars can fit. Cute joint, basic 'diner' setup with mostly booths. I had the Benedict Omelet - the eggs were a bit rubbery & the hollandaise sauce was a bit bland, but still satisfying to start the day with a hearty breakfast. My coworker said the fruit was fresh & the sausage patties were delicious. I do have to say they have very friendly staff. Our server was frequently checking to see if we needed anything. Breakfast after Sunday church, arrived about 9:30 AM and waited about 20 min for a table for two. Stared longingly at a couple of bakery displays while waiting and noticed they had maple whoopee pies at an excellent price (didn't buy one though). I really enjoyed this popular breakfast spot in Concord. This was our first time here and YES we did have to wait for parking but just like anyplace thats good you'll have to wait a little. What we enjoyed about the restaurant was all the cool things instead and how old it is. Lets get down to our breakfast... Corned Beef Hash: Very very good and also it was salty like most places. Their's is home-made which probably is the reason we really enjoyed it and like I said it wasn't salty at all. Tourtiere Pie and eggs: I ordered this since I had no clue on what it was but the meat was moist and seasoned very well. It was like a meat pie with eggs. Really enjoyed this dish.. If you're in or around Concord area be sure to stop by this great breakfast spot. You'll be happy that you did. read more

One of the best breakfasts ever! To start - the bread was incredible! Then, the tourtiere pie (tough to even find, nevermind done well). Breakfast is great here. Been many times and never disappointed. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is cozy and has a "diner" feel. The service was friendly and surprisingly fast, and the food was DELICIOUS. I had the homemade corned beef hash Benedict with perfectly poached eggs, a large amount of hash, and probably the best homemade hollandaise I've ever had in a restaurant: light, creamy and almost fluffy, with just the right amount of lemon - and there was a LOT of it. I got the fruit cup as a side and there were many fresh plump and ripe fruits in it. I'm so excited to go back! read more

Do not miss a chance to grab a bite to eat at this fantastic little diner. Although crowded with tight parking it will be worth your while. Friendly staff keeps your coffee toped off while you decide among the many choices. We love breakfast and brunch, with all the places we've been The Post had the best menu choices, especially for someone who can never decide between bacon or sausage and pancakes or waffles.... The homefries are homemade as I would expect from any good breakfast joint, but the breads and muffins were also homemade! There was a pleasant hustle and bustle, light music playing in the background, low chatter from the diners, and the clink of pot, pans, knives, and forks. This is a great little spot we found while searching for a good, quick lunch. I read many of the reviews here and decided this might be perfect. It was! Our waitress was an older lady who reminded me of my grandma. She was very sweet and made you feel right at home. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer every question we had. She was also very good at checking on you without hovering. I decided on a hamburger, which I asked for well-done. Dad ordered steak tips, also well-done. Mom decided on breakfast and just ordered pancakes. The restaurant was very busy and their was a line forming as we were seated. Our order took a little while, but with the amount of people there, it was expected. Unfortunately, my burger and dad's steak tips were on the pink side. However, they were very good. I still give the place four stars because the service was amazing and I know if I had asked her to, the waitress would have taken the food back to cook longer. I do recommend trying this place out of you can, just maybe not if you're in a hurry. I have a feeling this place is always busy. read more

Found this place when staying in Concord for a concert. Parking lot on site is convenient. I got the Hash Bene with home fries; my boyfriend got biscuits and gravy. We shared crepes with brown butter drizzle. Super delicious and the service was great. Very friendly and came through often to refill our coffee. read more

I stopped in at the Fisherville Rd. Restaurant for a lite lunch and ordered a grilled ham, cheese and tomato with FFs. McDonalds does a great job on FFs but the Post definitely wins the prize on this one. They are absolutely delicious as was the meat loaded ham and cheese. What a wonderful meal also served with a dill pickle. They do what they call an Arnold Palmer ice tea (lemonade and unsweetened tea (I hadn't heard of that one before) it was a nice drink allowing you to sweeten it to your liking. read more

We had high hopes for this place after a local recommended it. We drove about 30 mins to get here and were greeted by a very nice hostess who quickly cleaned a table and sat us within about 5 minutes. The menu descriptions all sounded mouthwatering so I opted for my absolute favorite--crab cakes and eggs and the boyo went for the country fried steak. Our food arrived promptly and our waitress was a gem. The type of waitress you wished for whenever you down out; attentive, friendly, not constantly interrupting. The food on the other hand left something to be desired. My crab cake was imitation crab meat. I was instantly put off my the thousands of red flecks littering my crab cake and the squeeze of bottled "remolaude". I flipped it over and found the bottom burnt to a crisp. Blahhh. How dare you disrespect the almighty crab cake with this garbage? The country fried steak. Oh. My. God. This meal has never looked appetizing to me but I asked the bf for a taste and instantly regretted my decision. It had an odd texture and revolting flavor. In fact I wouldn't feed that garbage to my dog. Friends, if you want a good breakfast at this place, stick to the basics--eggs over easy, toast, and corned beef hash. Visited here a few weeks ago. Wasn't impressed by the service and the food was average at best. There are other options in Concord that are better. I had scrambled eggs with corn beef has and sourdough toast. The corn beef hash was very disappointing. Chunks of over cooked tough corn beef with a few pieces of under cooked diced potatoes. My mom wanted a veggie omelette but scrambled instead of in omelette form. They had a veggie scramble on the menu but is was more expensive and had only 3 veggies in it versus the 6 in the omelette. The waitress gave my mom a hard time about it but said she would ask if it could be done that way. The veggie scramble would have been around 4.00 more to add the extra veggies and cheese that already came with the omelette. They did do the omelette as a scramble in the end but what a hassle. The only thing g I enjoyed was the toast that is homemade. read more

We worried when it changed owners a while back that the quality and service would change but, much to our surprise they have maintained the same excellent service, delicious food choices and food quality. My favorite breakfast in all of Concord area. There's a diner down the street but we travel 3 times as far to get here. The corned beef hash is amazing, the pancakes French toast and waffles amazing the veggie omelette with all my customizations always awesome, fresh baked bread, homemade grilled English muffins Oh my God. You can also get some yummy pastries to take home, or have them with breakfast. The staff is friendly, things happen fast, And even though they're busy we've rarely had to wait. Breakfast was good and the waitstaff were pleasant and attentive. Their menu has a surprising abundance of wonderful breakfast & lunch offerings. The coffee is decent - not great - but I'll admit I'm fussy about my coffee. Price/performance is just what you'd expect for a small town breakfast/lunch joint. Only thing I would have preferred seeing is a clean overhead light - there was a lot of dust buildup but the rest of the place looked clean. Hopefully their Spring cleaning efforts are to be completed soon as this could be a turnoff for some. read more
