    Coffee wall

I stopped in looking for a quick drink and a bite. Right in downtown with street parking, easily used with my parking app! The shop is open and very inviting. Places to sit and snack or sip on your favorite drink. A whole wall of a variety of coffees whole bean and ground, staff will ask you if you want your beans ground or not, so be prepared. I had the broccoli and cheddar quiche. Warmed. 1/4 sliced mouthful of goodness and a very tasty crust. I washed it down with a London Fog, best I've ever had. It was a great find! Can't wait to come back!!!

Weakest sandwich I've probably ever ate .... Usually love it here, but today was a flop. They weren't busy either but they were extremely skimpy on the ingredients today

Chicken salad sandwich and iced cappuccino

Great place for coffee and sandwiches. I got a chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough, and my wife and daughter both got caprese sandwiches on ciabatta -- we all enjoyed them! The bread is baked on-site, and you can tell. Aso got an iced cappuccino, which was perfect -- plenty of toasty espresso flavor. The pastry selection looked good, but I skipped dessert. Staff was friendly, and there's tons of seating. Decor is charming, with a number of vintage coffee machines and grinders scattered about.

They make their own baked goods and a large selection of coffees etc. Very happy with everything and a short walk from the Hotel Concord

This place is great! However, it's closed on Sundays and that is incredibly frustrating.

Went here for a late breakfast. Nice menu and reasonably priced. Ordered sunrise burrito and the…read moresunrise smoothie. Both were excellent outside seating was nice. Staff was friendly and food was ready quick. Thank you

This place is great. It's pricey...so be prepared for that…read more My brother got the avocado toast, ( I think thats what it was) and loved it. I didn't get any food. I ordered a smoothie. Banana/strawberry and holy shit it was incredible!!! I. LOVED. IT!!! Damn it was good. I think it was like $12 tho? Am I crazy to think...meh, it's ok, (the price) I was on a holiday and you are supposed to enjoy whatever? haha!! I would normally never spend that much on a freaking smoothie! HOWEVER! Once we got into Manchester, VT....we saw another The Works Bakery...I SHO DID get another one lol. I was surprised to see that this place is a chain. When we were in Concord...it kind of felt like this was a place exclusive to Concord. Nah, it's not. Thats ok tho. I got a smoothie at a coffee house in just outside Bar Harbor and it was absolute garbage. So it was nice to have one where they actually have you what you ordered. Most places in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire all allow dogs. I travel with my little Yorkie wherever I go. Alfred loves to travel haha! He is my child...seeing as I do not have any human kids. My dog is my life. So it's nice when you go into places and they welcome dogs. This place....does not tho. Thats boooo! HOWEVER! I TOTALLY understand! I TRULY do! I travel with my dog everywhere, but yes, I do realize this place is a restaurant and they all have their rules. I just love restaurants that allow dogs haha! I am not one of those psychos that will tear a place apart about not allowing dogs. I am one who actually respects policies like this. And yes, I bring my dog with me bc it's just me...and my dog. He is a 6lb Yorkie who I will never leave alone nor would I ever kennel him. I say all this bc so many people out there judge others who bring their dogs everywhere. He is a family member. He comes with me. Just go to this place wherever you run into one. It really is a great place. They were all SO nice in there even when they asked my take Alfie back outside. OH for the record too...I carry my little man everywhere with me. He's not like...running around everywhere...marking his territory lol Atmosphere in this location is very nice. Kinda dark and Lodgy feeling. Its nice. Located too in what I am assuming is a historic building. Noce view of the downtown area too if you take you lunch or whatever outside to their outdoor seating...which I am guessing is probably brought in now...seeing as it is almost December. Ok thats it. I know I rambled a lot here, but I feel it all fits with my review. I ramble a lot to begin with. If you read this...thank you! If you didn't...I will sleep in 5 mins and sleep like a baby :) Thank you The Works for a wonderful first experience. I live in Idaho. Wish we had you here. Thanks for reading YelperWorkers! Go have a smoothie! avocado toast! a bagel! you will love it! Cheers!

The cookie designs reminded me of my grandma's Bengali Shondesh sweets. I went on the company website and then read about the owner who also started baking to remember his childhood sweets. They also offer fresh baked cookes and fresh ground coffee too! The handcrafted treats are made with all natural ingredients and some are gluten free. Most of the items in the shop are available for shipping. I stopped in here recently to pick up a few sweet treats. The owner greeted me as I walked in and gave me a run down of his offerings in the shop. I got a box of Fine Syrian Mamoul Delicate Data Cookies (9 for $10), Exquisite Vegan Chocolate Baklava (2 pc for $4), and Exquisite Pistachio Baklava (2 for $4). Each of the baked goods were pretty good, though small pieces for the price paid. The baklava (layers of phyllo) were very crispy on the outside and very sweet. The date cookies coated with powdered sugar were crunchy on the outside with a good smooth date filling inside the cookies. I like the baklava here! I would shop here again, but I would probably get a big box of assorted baklavas (for around $21) for the best value.
