We really love this restaurant, and usually this location. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 meals. We waited maybe 20 mins and they brought our food out, but never the apps. They offered to put them in now, but we decided to decline. Server came over to apologize in a very casual way, like maybe she forgets a lot of things through out the day (I could never be a server, so I get it) but she did write down our order and she verified dipping sauce, so I don't really know how she forgot to put our order in correctly. I honestly just chalked it up to us being fat so we didn't really need them anyway, oh well. This location is convenient, so we will be back, but I do prefer the Portsmouth location, or even Bedford. But this one is good too, it just seems like on the days they are open later, the staff is a little less... helpful. Maybe we will stick to brunch hours and see how that works. The menu here has also changed, and we really miss the old menu. The selections are now mediocre, and things you could get anywhere else. I miss the unique menu of things that were creative and layered, and just different. The menu now consists of 2 small pages, with pancakes, omelets, eggs Benedict, burritos, and a few lunch options with burgers. The hot chick sandwich is really great, but it was better before when it was called something else. It feels like the menu went a little *New England white tastebuds* instead of keeping the flavorful, unique items. I'm only taking away one star for the menu change. Our server not putting our order in correctly was annoying, especially since I only order apps because my blood sugar was low and thought they'd come out quickly, but it wasn't enough to keep me from coming back. Concorde is a great city, and has a cute downtown. At the end of the shopping area is The Friendly Toast. The interior is a great vibe. A modern mid century twist on a classic diner. The menu is quite plentiful, so maybe peak before. They had pumpkin maple bacon as a special when we went - my three favorite things. It did not disappoint. What did disappoint was the time it took to get our food. The place was next to dead, and we were still there for an hour. My potatoes were luke warm when I got them. My burrito, however, was quite good. Street parking is the way to go. read more

The new friendly toast in Concord is a wonderful new location on a tried and true restaurant experience. The atmosphere is eclectic, with fun and unexpected decor. The servers are bright and happy and helpful, the food is delicious. The jumbo cheddar tots are so incredibly crave worthy. We both ordered extra spicy bloody Mary's, Hubby had the sklarmageddon omelette and I had the Monte Madame, which is a croque madame on a French toasted croissant. Oh my gosh, everything was so good, and we had serious leftovers. Unlike other locations, we didn't have much of a wait on this particular day, but I would imagine it fills up pretty quickly, so add yourself to the waitlist if you can. read more

It's a pretty busy spot. Our wait was 30 minutes for breakfast. The chicken and waffles was my favorite especially since it came with a tiny bottle of syrup. We had a great experience at the new location for Friendly Toast. The fall flight drink selection was such a cool presentation. The decor is a lot like the other locations, fun and whimsical. While tempting to sit on the outdoor patio, we picked a booth inside as it was warm out. Food was excellent, tater kegs were not what I had pictured but tasted delicious. It's right in town so parking is a little tricky. We went during late breakfast, but they serve brunch all day long. The place was packed on a Monday, but we didn't have that long of a wait. It has nostalgia from the 70's. Our waitress was very cordial and accommodating. They have a full assortment of breakfast items with a twist. I went to another friendly toast a few years ago and loved it so I wanted to try this one with my husband. On the positive side, service was friendly and prompt. My husband and I decided to share an omelette because we didn't think we could polish off two of them. The egg was delicious, but the toast was burnt and consisted of two scrawny slices of bread. The potatoes were virtually in animal because they were dry. The worst part of it was the bill, which was $33 for a breakfast for that was meant for one person. Next time, try out Tucker's, which has the best breakfast in town. read more

Tried the Friendly Toast, Concord this morning. Ordered the Smoked Salmon Sandy on bagel. NO SALMON IN IT!!!! Sent the disassembled sandwich back and they brought the same sandwich reassembled back with negligible salmon in it! Gave me a $3 credit (which didn't even cover the cost of my one cup of coffee) and explained they'd only been open a couple weeks! Ugh! Waitress was cute however and tried her best while we tore the sandwich apart looking for the missing salmon. I've gone here twice now - once at lunch on a business day with no wait and once for a late breakfast on a holiday Monday where the restaurant was busy and there was a short wait. Both experiences were excellent. We had prompt service from the waitstaff on both occasions - just as prompt when it was busy as when it was less so. Drinks and food came out quickly both times and was delicious. My daughter had Churro Bites as a meal and her eyes rolled back in her head with the first bite. The decor is fun and you'd probably be able to find something you didn't notice before no matter how many times you go. Also really appreciate the easy online waitlist option. Bonus: my daughter left a book in the booth and they texted us to let us know we left it behind. So happy to have a location in Concord now! read more

First I want to say that the server was wonderful. She did everything she could do to make us comfortable...but the food was terrible. The potatoes were burnt and the food was ice cold. It was like they just put it under heat lamps and left it there. My husband ordered corned beef hash; the cook clearly has never seen corned beef hash because what came out was some small strips of corned beef and more of the burnt potatoes. There were five of us; my son in law warned us; he said they've been there before and it was bad but my husband wanted to give it a try. It'll be the only try. All of us had cold food that was barely edible. And the cherry on top? For that really awful meal we paid $188. For that price, I want edible food; we didn't even order alcohol! We'll never go back. I'll give the server the only star of the meal; the food...if I could give it zero I would. Such a disappointment. read more

Came in as a group of 6 to celebrate two birthdays. We've frequented both the Portsmouth and Bedford locations for many years. Unfortunately we did not find that this new location holds up to the same standard. Our waitress Liz seemed scattered. Despite our table being placed right next to the POS system, she needed to triple check with us on orders and sides after writing it down and still had errors when it arrived. Our drinks took roughly 20 minutes to touch the table, and narrowly beat out our entrees. To wrap off the meal she applied our $35 worth of accrued rewards without asking, despite being steps away from the table. Good atmosphere. Service was good. Food was terrible. I had the Monte Madame. Don't do it. This meal did not even look good. Took one bite and pushed it away. My wife ordered a ham, cheese spinach onion omelet. Ham was dice up to the size of bacon bits, it look like they used the skins of the onion in the omelet and laid 2-3 baby spinach leaves on top. She tried to eat it but could not. Based on that experience, we will not be going back. Too bad, I cannot find a good breakfast place in the Concord area. read more
