I hate writing a bad review but this place is not worth your time. My husband and I stopped by on our way to the mountain. We ordered one coffee and 2 bagels to go. We were the only customers in the restaurant and our order took 15 minutes. When we arrived at our location to eat, we were surprised to find the bagels soggy and the cream cheese was on the side in tubs. They did not include and napkins or knives to spread the cream cheese. I think that in 15 minutes they should have had the time to throw a knife in the bag or put it onto our bagels. Staff was not friendly and could careless about customer service. Visit another place that cares about your business. read more

The Windham Local is one of the best places to eat in Windham, if not all of Greene County. It has everything from delicious salads, scrumptious green curry, to hearty sandwiches, soups and sides. There's vegetarian options, vegan options, gluten free options, healthy kombucha, and they even serve drinks! Their wine, beers, and IPAs are pretty good, and the kitchen is open and clean so you can see everything. On Friday and Saturday nights, they usually stay opened late and have live entertainment. The ambience of this cafe will have you feeling relaxed and in your element no matter if you are from the area or from the city. You walk in and you might as well be in the Village, Carroll Gardens, or Williamsburg. It has that kind of quaint, small time, personal, and unique feel to it. The staff was extremely un accommodating. We arrived before lunch had ended and were told the kitchen was unable to make two very staple items : grilled cheese and quesadilla. Both items have 2 Ingredients. If it had been an hour after lunch ended I would be more sympathetic but they lost two customers. read more

Beautiful, cozy and rustic restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They open at 7am! The ambiance is really nice inside and great for coffee, tea and liquor. Went here for snacks and ordered the maple latte, mulled cider, grilled truffle cheese with tomato soup and 3 bean chili. Everything was delicious and the drinks were perfectly made since it wasn't too sweet. The server (who has a beard-wished I knew his name) was very pleasant. He also made our amazing drinks. Their menu is short, straightforward and simple. It's Thai, Mexican and American fusion type of food. Will definitely go back here for breakfast or lunch while we're here. read more

We stopped here on our way out of town for a weekend getaway from Philly. The food was AMAZING. Everything we got was delicious. The breakfast burrito has polenta in it which somehow made it taste even better than a regular breakfast burrito. My husband got the chili with pork added. I don't even like chili and it was incredible. Our friends got the quiche, pork sandwich and truffle grilled cheese and everyone said how much they loved it all. Also the place is adorable inside and has parking. Oh and lastly, the espresso they used was delicious. I wish we knew about this place sooner as we would have eaten there more! read more

An adorable coffee shop cafe in a sweet ski town. It's a sweet place to gather with friends for coffee or sit and catch up on emails. The shop was very busy both days I came in (weekday mornings during a holiday week). I appreciate how the drinks are served in real glasses and mugs- very environmentally friendly. The food we ordered was nothing to call home about but we didn't do much exploring of the menu to be an accurate judge. Prices are fair. $10 minimum on cards. read more

Located in what looks like a renovated municipal building the Windham local provided a quick and delicious breakfast two days of our weekend trip. The inside is airy with plenty of seating. They allow dogs which was a huge bonus as we brought our pup upstate and she enjoyed getting to hang out as we enjoyed our mimosas and bagel sandwiches. They have live music at night, which other guests of our hotel said was a lot of fun. The food was great both morning. The bagel sandwich with harrisa dip was delicious! read more

Love this little spot in a former bank building (you can still see where the vault used to be). Food: Simple and delicious breakfast and lunch menu made with fresh local ingredients, and a slightly more adventurous (but no less delicious) dinner menu (Fri/Sat only I believe). Came here during our Christmas holiday and back again yesterday. The food here is always clean, delicious, and fresh. The cranberry rosemary scone is a must and their breakfast wrap is served hot and so filling. For lunch try their Cuban sandwich or the Tom Kha. Both good portions and taste yummy. The best and surprising dish for us was the garden salad. Loved mixture of the greens and roasted veggies. It was perfect. Will definitely keep coming back here when in the area. read more

I simply had a latte and it was fine. The girl was running the place on her own and I was the only customer at 7:20 on a Thursday morning. Great menu offering classics as well as Thai dishes. Weather you are looking for a quick bite or to relax with a big group for brunch this has the right atmosphere for that experience. Recently spent a weekend in Wyndham and wandered into this restaurant for dinner. Based on the name and appearance, we expected American/pub fare, but saw the dinner menu had several Thai dishes. They also offered local beers and wines by the glass. We had the Basil Stir Fry, Tom Kha, a local red ale, and their Grenache by the glass. It was a Friday night and there was a jam session going on- something I would normally avoid- and it was great! A very talented group of musicians playing bluegrass, honky tonk, blues in an almost uninterrupted set. The food was tasty, the environment was appealing, the staff was friendly. We ended up going back twice for light breakfast and coffee before heading out to enjoy hiking trails. They had hand sanitizer at the front door and required guests to wear masks when not seated. read more

While it is easy to appreciate the physical surroundings at the Local; high ceilings, beautiful brick work and tasteful wood-trim accents, the real charm here is the people. The personnel here begins with David, the founder/owner/proprietor. David had a vision of creating a comfortable relaxed environment, serving excellent food from the hands of a caring considerate staff. Goal Accomplished. Cyrus, a fairly new employee here at the Local( about two months), works the bar area and is a Barista who really knows what he is doing. His professional demeanor is enhanced by a kind, caring, gentle and sensitive persona. While Darlene is like the Ever-ready Bunny, constantly moving back and forth from the kitchen and the bar ensuring that her guests are attended to with delicious food and beverages. Darlene also works hard in the kitchen creating the most amazing food. She is a delightful friendly spirit and very talented at her work. Today is my second time here this week. On New Year's Day I came by with Fernando, one of my best friends and his girlfriend Amy. They shared the Cuban sandwich and assorted Tacos. I had the Garden salad and a my favorite Matcha Latte with a double shot of espresso ( sooo good!!) All the food served was excellent. Thank you Today I stopped in after skiing Hunter this morning. Eaten here a few times and the food has always been very good. I get the veggie wrap which is vegan. Love that it's not zucchini and squash but mushroom, cauliflower and other things I actually want to eat. Their soups are also really good and vegan. The tomato is the winner. I give it 4 stars as the food prep can be slow. Not sure how they will handle the winter crowds and they don't always get the orders right. Also wish they actually told you on the board which items are vegan, not just that they have vegan options. read more

This place has nice space and a super cool look, it's an old bank that has the safe exposed but unfortunately that's where the good news ends. The food is literal trash. I don't think I've ever said that anywhere I've eaten. We were a party of 7 a bunch of us ordered the $21 steak sandwich and it was inedible. Imagine buying the steak you find on final sale at your local grocery store because it's about to go bad the next day, then throw it in the freezer for a month and serve it, yea that bad. Oh I forgot to mention it was 95% fat/grizzle. The steak was discolored and unpalatable. I think the worst part was it was not a fluke, it was every one of our sandwiches. After explaining myself to the waitress she recommends me to another waitress then the last girl behind the counter. It was weird, it was like the manager and chef knew and were scared to address it. Finally (and I'm talking everyone besides 2 of us walked out to let them know we had been done eating for over 30 mins and are waiting for someone to come over) we get the manager. We kindly told him we have been here once before for coffee, we like the place but the steak sandwiches are bad, like literally the steak is old. He didn't even want to look at the sandwiches but kept trying to tell me there is nothing wrong with it. He said he would "make me a deal" and "take 2 sandwiches off" oh I didn't know we were bargaining, this was inedible food that should have been taken off and apologized for. Stuff happens I get it, and with some common sense we would have been on our way and back soon enough but because he refused to make it right he earned this review. read more

Great stop for lunch. The maple latte was fantastic. We tried a few donuts, really liked the coconut lime one. My group had the chili, chicken portabello wrap, Cuban & chef salad. The smoked chicken used in these recipes was really good. The chili is a nice big portion. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the slaw. It's a red slaw that's vinegar based, not creamy.
