This review is of the UPS store on First and Los Angeles in Simi Valley. I've had occasion to go there a handful of times over the years, and every time I give those two women the benefit of the doubt thinking that last time maybe they were just having a bad day. Nope. Today they seemed to be having even a worse day than before. There is no smile, no hello may I help you, no hi how are you doing. Given a choice, go anywhere else! Slow service at this UPS Store and usually only one person at the counter. Be prepared to wait at least 10-15 minutes. They couldn't help me print a shipping label for a return after waiting. I left the store and went to the UPS on Madera. The Madera location had two people at the counter and I was in and out immediately! read more

A great place to drop your package when you're in the area. I had to ship back a APC battery unit and this UPS is the closest to my work office so I came here. We already prepaid for the item to be shipped so I just had to drop it off. This store is in a plaza so finding parking is a piece of cake. I walked in right when they open and was able to put my item on the scanner. There was only 1 girl working there in the morning and she give me my receipt after everything was scanned. read more

I recently had to have artifacts from the Presidential Library, where I work, shipped to D.C. The care and attention to detail was superior. I am sure once packaged, we could have bounced that box, it was wrapped so well. All items arrived in perfect condition. I then had to have a very heavy statue shipped. It took both women in the store, Aly and Andrea, as a team to get it wrapped and protected for shipment. I had a very pleasant interaction with these ladies the 3 times I visited their store in the past month. I wish I could rate some of the customers that come in that have 'no personality' or manners when dropping off their Amazon return. It's a two way street. I will happily use this store for any future shipping needs. read more

Did an Amazon return while in Cali. Found myself 5th in line at the UPS store all of us doing the same thing. NONE of us bothered to follow the Return Instructions to Print the label first. The lady CSR was very patient and polite while having to repeat herself so many times I had to give her a good rating. I would have been pissed. LoL Read the instructions first people. read more

I often go to the UPS store to make returns for clothing items which should be completely free and is always free with no problems every time I've gone.. Their computer system was down which is not my fault. And they charged me to log onto a computer and print out a label. When it should have been 100% free and it always is. This took out of the return on my clothing. I am very annoyed by this and I will never come back to the store again. The charge was over three dollars which is A lot of money for two pages that they should have covered because it is covered by the company that I was returning to. I feel as though I didn't deserve to be charged and was ripped off for their own faulty equipment. read more

Looking for friendly service? Turn around. It's very clear the woman who works here in the afternoons hates her job. I haven't once seen her smile nor trade pleasantries. **BEWARE!! OVERPRICED SHIPPING!!** I'm only giving this place two instead of one star, because they've been helpful in the past. (This is the new management.) I went in there to ask how much it would be to mail a regular letter overnight to Los Angeles. I was quoted $72.00!!!! This letter would normally cost $0.50 of postage to mail, but it contained time-sensitive documents, so I wanted to overnight it. I couldn't believe it!! I went down the street to the post office on Sinaloa in Simi, and paid a total of $25.50 to over the letter. Unbelievable!!!! I will never go to this UPS store again for shipping. read more

The girls who usually work here on the regular denied my Amazon return even though I had the QR code along with having the item boxed. I went down the road to another UPS where my package was taken no problem. The entire time I was at the store the girl behind the counter was on a phone call, while the girl in the back was not wearing a mask. BEWARE! The new owner is terrible! I have been going to this UPS store for 15 years, they have always been wonderful and the woman that owned it and ran it was great. She recently retired and sold the business to another woman. This new woman is super rude and not helpful at all. I asked if she could take a USPS parcel while I was dropping off some UPS parcels, she said, "No! I am not going to take time in my personal day after I get off work to drop that off at the post office for you!" How Rude! She could have said "Oh, I'm sorry I can't take that." But no... She had to be rude and make it personal. Not a great way to start off a relationship with your customers when you open a business in town... We send hundreds of packages every day with USPS. Sometimes we drop off at this UPS store. Today for some reason when I dropped off one package the lady told me they are not excepting any packages for USPS due to the pandemic unless it's just a letter. I frequent three other UPS stores and it's not an issue there. read more

Under new ownership and they rip you off. I went there looking for a box to ship a medium picture frame. They took my frame, went in the back and without giving me a price, they packaged it up in a huge box. They came back with the boxed sealed up and charged me $53.00 just for the box and bubble wrap. This is place is under new ownership and I don't see them keeping clients by taking advantage of customers. If you decide to go there, make sure you ask how much they're going charge you first. I don't recommend you going there. They need to respect their customers by being upfront with their prices. $19 for the box $18 for the bubble wrap And $16 for them to put the picture into the box and tape it. Total of $53.00 to package up a $12.00 picture frame. read more

I've come here plenty of times to drop off usps packages when I'm in a hurry. They've always accepted them.. I went in early at 9am, the woman who works their was alone inside WITHOUT a mask on and was in no hurry to put one on? Nice. So I had a return box to send out and some usps packages I decided I may as well drop them off too and she gave me attitude and said no. So I calmly asked if they stopped accepting them, to which she said they do accept them but their usps guy "has already left for the day" huh at 9am really? Wow doesn't give people much of a drop off window. Funny since I've dropped off usps packages before later in the evening and it was not only not an issue but they would just let me know he had already gone for the day which was not a big deal. Ups accepts usps packages, I am so sick of getting attitude for dropping them off when the company has always accepted this, it's your job! This is the second time I've gone to a ups store and received horrible service. Not only was she not wearing a mask which is required now by law in business but she was rude and refusing service. This is the worse customer service ever. I went in 5/11/21 at 11:15am, wasn't even acknowledged even when I got to the from. The person working which I'm assuming was an owner cause I worked at one of these stores before was on her phone, talking person stuff couldn't even be bothered to talk to me. After the experience I dealt with this morning, you could not pay me to go into this UPS store. I work for a local business, and one of the employees apparently dropped off a package that had some sort of error on it. This morning I get a call from this horrible man who works here saying that the person made a mistake and that he is not UPS, is not affiliated with UPS and that if our package wasn't marked correctly the next time it was going to go straight into the trash. I asked him for some more information because we have been having some difficulties with UPS in the past and I wanted to know if this was the official UPS store in Sylmar (it's not) who have been incredibly unhelpful, but at least polite and kind. What in the world is wrong with his person? He started off by attacking me, I apologized for our employee and say that it was a simple mistake while trying to figure out exactly what had happened. I told him it would be difficult for me to figure out who the employee was and he said "Not my problem. I don't care about your damn problems. Mark your packages correctly next time." He has serious attitude and absolutely NO customer service skills. What a horrible human being. I will never recommend anyone to go to this UPS store and I personally will never use them. read more

So I came here yesterday to drop off a package and was horribly greeted by the older man working at the front. It was at least 45 minutes until closing so I'm not really sure what the issue was. The package I was shipping was a return and the company stated on the instructions to get some sort of UPS stamp to ensure that the product was returned. Again, the older man had a rude response about how the company is stupid for even asking for such a thing. I agreed to the other option, which was getting the tracking code receipt, and the employee continued to explain how even that receipt was useless. NEVER again!!!! I had a package rerouted here that needed an in person signature. UPS recommended using one of the stores near my work. For a $5 fee they would sign for the package. Sounded easy enough. I show up to pick up the package and I am greeted by an older surly woman named Jeannie. I tell her that I am there to pick up a package. She said, "Did you call and tell us it was coming?" I said, "No, I didn't know I needed to." She said, "We usually refuse them if we don't know they are coming." What kind of sense does this make!!!! I told her that I checked the tracking and it was signed for by someone named Duncan at this location. She went and got the package. She then wanted my ID. She noticed the name was different than the name on the package. She started to give me an attitude about that as well. I told her that UPS said anyone with the same street address on their ID could pick up the package so she gave it to me. Does UPS not communicate with these people or are they making up the rules as they go?!!! All I know is that I will NEVER go there again. read more

This is a great UPS store with ample parking. I used to use one in another valley that didn't have hardly any parking so this is a thrill. It is sometimes busy, but the line usually moves fast. I ship work things from here and pick up packages and letters sent to my mailbox. The owners seem to do a lot of router and other returns and seem to really have that kind of thing wired, no pun intended. Today they were notarizing something, so that service is available, too, and I'm sure a whole bunch of other things I don't even know about. I think the couple that run this are very nice and knowledgable. There is a Jersey Mike's sandwich shop and a Starbucks in the same building, so you can practically do one-stop shopping here. Oh, and true confession? I, too, have parked in front temporarily when I knew I'd received a heavy package. That is very convenient, and I've noticed the UPS truck swoops in there to unload. It is so nice to have that flexibility! read more

This is my third time here. The older lady in the front is so nice, helpful and always greets with a smile. Lots of older customers so the downfall it takes time to just send a package out- because they are all chit chatting with this wonderful worker. I recommend it as long as you're not in a rush, or if you have the package ready to go and just drop it off. read more
