Love this Providence USPS hub location! Its extended hours (lobby with clerks open to 9 pm on…read moreweekdays, unheard of!) are so convenient and helpful when I have something that must go out that day, but I've missed the cutoff at my local location. Lines can be long, but the self service kiosk can help me most times. Sometimes people jam the package bins, though, which somehow goes unnoticed by staff, and means you have to get in the sometimes long lines anyways. There are a wide range of extra services offered here, and tons of a wider variety of the free priority packaging options than most other locations have. There's a large parking lot, but people whip through it, so be careful! This location and its convenient extended hours are such an asset for local small business owners and residents alike.

Social media influencer in need of a light ring? They have those. Need office furniture? They have a pretty big selection. Files? Paper? Laundry detergent? Canned air? Basically most everything you could want to organize or run a business is here. Five stars for inventory. The other side of that coin is there is no one available to help. You have to wander around the store and hope you stumble upon what you are looking for. Yes, there are signs, but under what category do you shelf a 'ring light' for example? Is the water cooler under 'water' 'cooler' 'office equipment'? One person was working the print area. We didn't bother them, they were busy. The one person at the register was surly. We all have bad days, but this person was not an example of customer facing professionalism. Didn't speak unless absolutely necessary and that was just the spiel corporate tells them to say. We needed a large cart to move a box from the back of the store. He just pointed to the regular shopping carts. At check out there was no interaction other than 'do you want insurance'. So zero stars for customer service. Not a big deal. They have a nice selection and if we are looking for something they carry we'll stop in again. It just would have been nice to share a bit of friendly interaction with a fellow human being but, whatever.

I had created some posters for the business online and was just picking them up in store. They were…read moredone rather quickly and they looked really good, I did indeed love them and the quality of them was very good. But Luca (hope I spelled it right) was working the printing services area. I picked up my posters and I had asked him how much would he charge to laminate my uncle's obituary card, he quickly grabbed it and took care of it. I really appreciated how he handled it with care and told me don't worry about the cost that he would take care of it, this means so much to me as this is important to me and I didn't want it to be damaged. Luca was very sweet and left a lasting impression on me. I really hope Luca gets some praise for making my day and for being so kind, but also being a great employee. Making sure I loved the posters and showing them to me and also doing that favor for me with my uncle's obituary. Lucas customer service was on point and I appreciate it so much. I will for sure be doing ALL of my printing services for the business from now on, here! All thanks to Luca!

This post office has always sucked but Covid has made it even worse. A line practically out the…read moredoor and ONE teller with 2 additional empty registers. Clerks who feel the need to constantly over explain every minute detail of a transaction regardless of what the customer asks. They also allow people to get in-line who are clearly not even close to ready to send a package and then allow them to cut back into the line when they are ready. Customers should be told to have their package READY TO SHIP!! Do not go to the register with a pile of loose papers and ask questions then think you don't have to wait in line again. The waiting is honestly insane. How can you be constantly busy but only have one clerk. It's not like it's a sudden rush. This post office is always busy and the clerks and the wait are always ridiculous. The worst part is that the clerks are not even sympathetic when you get to the front of the line to ship one item after waiting 30-40 minutes in line. This system clearly needs to be streamlined. How about self serve kiosks for flat rate packages? We can't all print our shipping at home so why not make it easier in the post office. Clearly the postal workers have jobs for life because they do not care in the slightest about the speed of their work, the care of a package or the time we will waste waiting for them. And god forbid if a package gets lost.... it's like "oh well... your loss". I honestly have nothing good to say about the postal service at all but this location is one of the worst!!!

I'm not sure if it's just me, but every time I come to this particular branch there is always a…read moreline. The average wait is usually about 10-15 minutes, so it's really not a problem, however there's usually some dumb-ass at the counter being unreasonable about something or other. It's similar to watching a real life talk show because you get to hear all of their complaints and problems. Such drama. The folks that work here are helpful and pleasant. They have always been eager to assist and are efficient and professional. There's usually only ever one or two people working the counter even though the building is huge, so I'm not sure how many people are doing other tasks in the back. I really appreciate the US postal system and how efficient and convenient they are. I enjoy having my mail delivered to my house and have a lot of respect for the letter carriers who make their deliveries everyday in all types of weather.

I can tell she does not like her job and doesnt like dealing with people.If i knew the managers name and number i would file a complaint I think its time for her to go find a dufferent profession. I LOVE this local Grove Street PO and the people there. Most of the time I have pre-labeled parcels…read moreto drop off, so no wait. But when I have needed window service, I have had polite and friendly help. Shoutout to Red!! Clerks have gone above and beyond for me, like when I've forgotten to cover something on a box which might affect delivery. Give respect, get it. I've learned, through talking to these folks, that sometimes there are circumstances beyond their control. People complaining don't seem to get that they have rules they need to follow. They care about their jobs, and they know what they should be doing and how to do it. Town Hall is across the street and despite a sign politely requesting only Post Office customers to use their lot, Town Hall customers park there, so it's not always as crowded as it might look. Lines can be long, yes. Many times there is only one clerk available, and since they do passports here, which take a LOT of time... well. There are also a lot of folks who require help with their packages. A lot of elderly folks and people who don't do it often enough to know how things work. If all you have is a dropoff, you're good. Please give the clerks a break, sometimes it really does take a while to give folks the service they need. I have seen people come into this place literally 2 minutes before closing, with a package that's STILL OPEN, and not even addressed. You think they're going to be happy about that!? Of course not. But they still spend a good 10-15 minutes helping anyway, advising folks of their options, taping up, etc. Sometimes scans take a while and there have been times when I checked tracking for my packages and didn't see a scan there for a few hours, but jeez, if you buy your labels online then you have a record, so no sweat. If there is a long line, and you really must have a scan of half a zillion packages and receipt printout and will snarl if you don't get it... I'd suggest going instead to the "basics" branch in the Four Seasons gas station at the intersection of Pawtucket & Waterman a mile or two away. Usually no line there.

Told hubby I wanted to bring them there so I could talk to someone and weigh my options. I was SO glad I did! The owner was extremely helpful. He showed us our options & prices. Suggested the best way to send the envelope since it had some important info in it. When we left we were very pleased with the service & definitely plan on going there for our shipping needs in the future! Oh!! and they also sell packing supplies and have a kind of gift shop too!
