I was in & out in under 30 seconds. Brava! The interior was clean, organized, & well-lit. The employee behind the counter was nice & efficient - clearly! But perhaps the very best thing of all was the private parking lot. Parking downtown always makes me grumble, even in the jewelry district. UPS STOORE 5824 I have recently made a claim for a damaged item sent to me from UPS store 5824 in Carson, CA. Over the course of several months I had the help of Talon, a representative from that store. It was only through his tireless efforts that we were able to negotiate a settlement with the insurance company. He consistently and constantly kept me informed of his negotiations and where we were in the process through emails and phone calls. Great service. I wanted to ship a painting. The man who waited on me took the time to help, and he explained all the options. Next time, I know I can buy the supplies there to pack myself, which would reduce the cost. He had a plan for how to finish the packing I started so the painting will arrive unharmed. This store and their employees are awesome! I was preparing to move out to LA , and I had no idea where to begin when shipping my life out across the country. First day I got to this ups location I had six very heavy packages, when packing I definitely didn't think about them falling off a 4 ft conveyor belt ... Brian was like a ups angel! He sat on the ground with me and helped me repack each box making me feel so confident that my personal belongs ( primarily glass and fragile items) would get 3000 miles away safely . Which they did!! Thanks Brian! I had to go ship five more boxes out and went back to the same location where Brian and his co worker John took care of everything for me! This new location is a bit tucked away, but offers a convenient place to drop off packages, pickup redirected packages, and more. They have mailboxes for rent and also offer business services. The people are super nice and it's never crowded, which is a huge plus after trying to drop off a package at Staples or FedEx Office. Waiting in line for a drop off receipt is very annoying, which never happens here. They also have a big parking lot that's newly paved and smooth as butter. This is my go-to for anything UPS! read more

But I went on a weekday morning when there were some commercial clients bringing big boxes, and the staff seemed impatient and a little rude when I needed a minute to figure out my return labels. Less than two weeks before Xmas, I expected long lines and grumpy, overworked staff. Instead, I was served within a minute by one of the most pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable store employees I've met in any service-oriented shop. I arrived with a somewhat fragile framed piece of art, and she carefully explained many options and prices for wrapping and shipping via all available services. In the end, this charming employee wrapped my item with incredible care (and many layers of bubble wrap) and even created a carrying strap attached to the box, so I could transport the large, unwieldy package with ease. I had a time sensitive package that needed to be shipped out. I provided a picture of the correct address to the worker behind the desk- but he typed a number of the zip code incorrectly. Instead of 90501, he wrote 90502. The day I was at the store I didn't have the address read back to me by the worker, and I assume it was because the picture was very clear to read and confirm perfectly. Ultimately the package was shipped to the incorrect address and returned back to me. By now I already paid $15 dollars for the shipping. I understand this was a simple mistake. Since the 2 is next to the 1 on the keyboard, I'm sure his finger may have slipped by mistake. I work in customer service as well, and I understand mistakes happen. What I don't understand was why the fault was put on me! Even though the package was time sensitive, I tried to be understanding since it was a mistake. All I wanted was the worker to correct his mistake and send it back. I was not loud, nor was I rude since I've been in this position before in customer service. They absolutely refused my request because "our workers are trained to read back the address to confirm and avoid mistakes like this." Well... now what? Because they didn't confirm! Kindly I asked them to fix it and resend the package or return my money. Their only solution was to make me pay again over a mistake they committed! They said "we'd be losing money to resend the package". I've seen McDonald employees give meals away over a messed up drink to satisfy the customer. That's real customer service! Ya'll didn't even bother to fix the issue except for trying to make me guilty! Honestly, I tried to be patient. I don't care how much people are trained, human error happens. People aren't perfect. They made it seem like their workers can never make any mistakes and it was my fault! I was disgusted. How am I, the customer, more understanding than the manager!? This is my very first review. I had to immediately download this app to vent. I want my money back and I got no where else to turn to. Shows how much these people care about customer satisfaction. Whatever happened to "the customers always right." Especially because I literally am!? To the workers reading this- I don't want you to only acknowledge your mistake by saying "we'll do better next time". I want a real solution! I want my money. That's a solution. Horrible customer service. Package was suppose to come yesterday, even got a text message saying it was going to be delivered yesterday....and it wasn't. Cant get ahold of a HUMAN to talk too. Customer service messages me thru Facebook and stated that "it should go out today and to sign up for updates which I did when I got the original tracking number. This package is important in the times we are in and just getting waved and shrugged off it's horrible customer service!!!!! AT ALL COST AVIOD USING UPS....FEDEX IS THE WAY TO GO!!!!!! read more

I only had to stop in to print one black and white document from my email. The two gentleman behind the counter were extremely friendly and helpful, and even knocked off a dollar because I used the computer for less than five minutes. We ended up talking about music and realized we were all three musicians. I'll be back here for sure. read more
