The woman that helped me was so kind. I told her I was shipping back something to Verizon and she made sure I had a receipt and encouraged me to take a picture of it in case I lose it, she let me know they can't go back in the system to look it up. Really appreciated her added help and kindness. read more

The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

The service here is disgusting. They refused to help, so I called UPS customer service and was told what I could do. And employees completely disregarded what I was told. I guess they are above UPS. Everyone that spoke to me was dismissive and had an attitude. What should've been a simple transaction turned into a multi day fiasco. read more

*This review is just about UPS international express.* All the international express guarantees posted on the website are false. They told me that they can't guarantee anything. It's just a free for all. Buyer beware. read more

The manager told me to basically F off after I was trying to work out where my delayed package was and if I could pick it up in a physical location instead. Instead of kindly explaining the limitations of the store, she told me to call the number and essentially F off if it didn't work. The other employee was nice about it. read more

Very helpful service very nice work thank you so much. Service was fast and efficient and very helpful picking out boxes and packing them for shipment.. read more

I've been here a few times. Parking is non existent in front of the store. The easy drop off service is not that easy or convenient. I feel the staff should just do some of the returns especially if there's a queue waiting to do returns. Will go to a different UPS store next time. read more

If you are not a huge business like Amazon, none of the delivery services including the post office offers reasonable rates but this review is of the store not the corporate company. I found everyone I have ever dealt with here to be friendly and helpful so the four stars is for their customer service not their prices which they don't set! read more

Place is the worse to go to. If it weren't for the location they would be out of business. Manager hates her job and you can easily see that, friendliness out the window only nice to whoever's her friend. Thinks because she worked there for 30 years she knows more than everyone else. Came in just to send out a package. Everything is ready to go, with the snobbiest attitude told me go scan it in and leave it on the ground. Owner should really look for new management. read more

I work for a business and cannot speak to anyone for help with ordering supplies. I could order on line if they had what I need. Worst customer service I ever seen!!! I would not recommend UPS to anyone!!! read more

I recently shipped a 14 x 28 x 11 inch package. My business partner jokes with me because I have OCD when listing items, packaging them and measuring them. I recheck things 3 times. So I know my package was the dimensions I mentioned. I got an email from ebay saying UPS adjusted my package size to 15 x 28 x 12 inches (one more inch on 2 of the dimensions) causing me to billed an additional $6. Us ebay sellers work very hard for small profit. I warn all you ebay sellers out there to be careful. I'm sticking to USPS for now on. All I can think of is some UPS person was having a bad day, didn't like dealing with a big, awkward package and decided to take it out on me. read more

In and out and not much else you can ask for. Parking is sometimes a bit tricky but as with anything in Wayland square. Circle around once and something should open up for you. I've stopped by a couple times to drop off an amazon return and both times, I walked in, dropped off the item and walked out. Haven't had much face to face with anyone so if your looking to drop a package off, this is the place! read more

the people in the store at Wayland are helpful so this isn't their fault, but the package was mis delivered in New York City. apparently it is well known that they do this - dropped the package, which contained medicine, at the wrong building. so I would never again use them to mail to NY. photo "proof" was sent of the drop off but there was nothing discernible in the pic. person at main ups enter said, "oh it's quite blurry". so we had no idea where it was left. read more

Caution : Steer clear - sent an email to the team asking them to pick up an item and deliver it to me. They never called me back. I called the store and was told the manager Randi would call me back - she never did. Finally I called the store and talked to Randi who said she would take care of it - she never did call me back. 1 month later I called the store and asked if the store was going to ship it - in the background I hear one of the store clerks yell "That's not going to happen". When I asked the person on the phone about that - they said i'd have to talk to Randi -- of course Randi never calls back - What a SH** show - I would not trust your packages to these folks. read more

This is such a pleasant UPS location. Seriously - you don't ever have to go that mess of a shipping counter at Staples again knowing that this little gem is just a few blocks away. The service is always friendly and efficient. Sure, the prices for UPS can get steep, but I have never experienced anything but exceptional service from them, and my packages always arrive on time, or even before the predicted date. They have a full range of boxes, packing materials and shipping options, so you;ll find whatever you need for your shipment, no problem. They also sell an array of greeting cards and candy, which is a nice touch! Only thing is, limited parking. You're better of nabbing a street spot, as their lot is a two-spot deal and you have to back up into Angell St traffic upon exit. read more

My husband and I own a small business that needs to ship a lot of small boxes regularly. Through the busy times during the holidays and the slower months in the summer, the kindness, respect and generosity we receive from the team at this UPS location is unmatched. We essentially create a ton of extra work for them by dropping items off vs. setting up a pickup and they always are happy to see us. Thank you Randi, Jason & the rest of the incredible team here! read more

Always a fine experience when I go. Granted, I bring my packages with pre-paid labels so essentially I'm just doing a quick drop off. Employees have always been pleasant, courteous, and efficient. There's never been a line. The few times I've tried to ship something it's admittedly pricey but that's more a product of UPS than this particular store. All in all, a pretty typical UPS Store with friendly staff. read more

Why does this place have such low reviews? I love it here! There's an older gentleman who works here who is absolutely no nonsense - he does his job super well but also doesn't mess around. You aren't ready with your code? Step aside and let him do the person in line behind you. I love it! It's always a quick in and out here. They allow dogs and sometimes give them treats too! read more

After Christmas I brought 2 identical items to the store for Amazon return. Now I am getting emails from Amazon that one was not returned. I am unable to find my return receipt, and called for assistance. The person I spoke to was quite rude, saying that all the Amazon stuff just gets thrown in a larger box for return. There was no attempt to help me at all. Makes me wonder if some of that is "diverted." I won't be using this location again. read more

About two months ago I sent a Patek Philippe watch to a suburb of Baltimore through the UPS store on Angell St., Providence, RI. The insurance was so expensive that I only insured the watch for $10,000, although it actually sells for $30,000. The package cost $199.31 to send. The watch was delivered two days later. Since no one was at home to receive the package, the UPS driver dropped it on the steps, forged the recipient's name and left. The package remained there for several hours. Luckily, the recipient found it when he returned home several hours later. That is the kind of service I could have gotten with media mail from the US Post Office for $8. I therefore disputed the charge. UPS itself replied that I had not paid them and therefore they would not refund me the money. The UPS store replied it was not their fault but the fault of the UPS in Baltimore, and therefore they would not refund my money. Forging another person's name, especially when $10,000 are involved, is actually a felony which receives a punishment of several years in jail. Should I be responsible for paying for the commission of a felony? The UPS store made a goodly profit and therefore should refund my money. My advice is to stay away from the UPS store, as well as UPS in general, and use Fed Ex. read more

I try to avoid this location at all COST literally charge you for anything they can. I am not exaggerating what so ever gave them a 2 cause there printer works but I left paying double I would've anywhere else and I brought my own label. Just be aware it's cheaper everywhere else and ask what they charging you before you pay cause they throw more then you need caught them twice already read more

THEY CHARGED ME $2.50 TO PRINT 1 SHEET OF PAPER (my shipping label). Amazon charges $1 to ship the label to your home. Terrible customer service. Save yourself the experience and use Staples who accepts UPS, USPS, and FEDEX. I will never sponsor this store again, it's a scam. read more

Staff is nice enough, except when u disagree with their assessment of package sizing. THEY REGULARLY OVERCHARGE. I had a sense this was happening as I'd not payed too close attention to package dimensions, until last time. Randall (female) measured a 12 x 5 x 8" package (that's what FedEx had it as) to be 13 x 6 x 9. Actual dimensions were 11 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 7 3/4. I walked the extra quarter mile to FedEx, didn't mention anything and they came in at my package dimension. Sorry, 4 3/4" doesn't round up to 6. That's how your $50 shipment becomes $60. PS ~ I'm an engineer, I know how to use a tape measure to determine rounded-up dimensions :). read more

In and out within minutes, always. You can't beat the fast service here. Prices can be a bit steep. If you are like me and regulary have Amazon returns with pre-paid labels, this is the best spot to drop off your boxes. That said, parking here gives me anxiety. There are only about 5 spots in front of the store and I'm always afraid I'm going to either hit a car as I enter, get hit while I'm parked, or get hit backing out of the crazy narrow spots. Parking is often available on the street, but if avoid parallel parking you'll either need to take your chances in the tiny spots in front of the store or circle the block a few times. read more

This place made it very easy to send out a box of books, no hassle, no lines, and people actually nice!!! Just the opposite of USPS and a much nicer feeling when you walk out of there. I prefer using UPS for sending out most of my boxes, unless I have to use Fedex or USPS. read more

The personnel was rude to me and unhelpful. I think their goal is to reduce the traffic in the store and they are just pushing the customers out. read more

Came to drop off an amazon return. UPS was supposed to pick up at my office, never did. They were alternatively supposed to drop off a label. They did not. So, I brought my package and paperwork from amazon to the ups store. They were rude and unhelpful and said "we can't print a label. We are not ups." Really?! This is the "UPS Store!" But they are not ups. They will not help with ups shipping. Save your time. Use fedex or usps. read more

1. Parking in front of the Store was available. 5 Stars. 2. As soon as I approached the service counter to return a cable company TV box, the Cashier/Customer Service Representative [Jacob] was there to greet me and execute my transaction with perfect precision. 5 Stars. 3. I phoned the Store just now to compliment [Jacob] on his outstanding Customer Service and a super-friendly, helpful woman named, Randi (?), took my call and was happy I mentioned these things. 5 Stars. 4. I remember within the last year or two I had to visit the Store, and then again, a super-helpful Customer Service Representative [a young woman, can't remember her name ] helped me to the best of her abilities. 5 Stars. I feel confident to Post Review this comment on Yelp as [5 Stars] because they deserve it. I will return for my shipping/business needs in the future. Pretty standard UPS store. Deducted a star because they only have two dedicated parking spots, both of which were filled while I was there-lugging boxes down the street is not a pleasant experience. The employees at the store were courteous and professional-they even helped us carry our stuff to the counter-so no complaints on that front. read more
