the people in the store at Wayland are helpful so this isn't their fault, but the package was mis delivered in New York City. apparently it is well known that they do this - dropped the package, which contained medicine, at the wrong building. so I would never again use them to mail to NY. photo "proof" was sent of the drop off but there was nothing discernible in the pic. person at main ups enter said, "oh it's quite blurry". so we had no idea where it was left. read more

I recently shipped a 14 x 28 x 11 inch package. My business partner jokes with me because I have OCD when listing items, packaging them and measuring them. I recheck things 3 times. So I know my package was the dimensions I mentioned. I got an email from ebay saying UPS adjusted my package size to 15 x 28 x 12 inches (one more inch on 2 of the dimensions) causing me to billed an additional $6. Us ebay sellers work very hard for small profit. I warn all you ebay sellers out there to be careful. I'm sticking to USPS for now on. All I can think of is some UPS person was having a bad day, didn't like dealing with a big, awkward package and decided to take it out on me. read more

I called the store and was told the manager Randi would call me back - she never did. Finally I called the store and talked to Randi who said she would take care of it - she never did call me back. 1 month later I called the store and asked if the store was going to ship it - in the background I hear one of the store clerks yell "That's not going to happen". This is such a pleasant UPS location. Seriously - you don't ever have to go that mess of a shipping counter at Staples again knowing that this little gem is just a few blocks away. The service is always friendly and efficient. Sure, the prices for UPS can get steep, but I have never experienced anything but exceptional service from them, and my packages always arrive on time, or even before the predicted date. They have a full range of boxes, packing materials and shipping options, so you;ll find whatever you need for your shipment, no problem. They also sell an array of greeting cards and candy, which is a nice touch! Only thing is, limited parking. You're better of nabbing a street spot, as their lot is a two-spot deal and you have to back up into Angell St traffic upon exit. read more

Always a fine experience when I go. Granted, I bring my packages with pre-paid labels so essentially I'm just doing a quick drop off. Employees have always been pleasant, courteous, and efficient. There's never been a line. The few times I've tried to ship something it's admittedly pricey but that's more a product of UPS than this particular store. About two months ago I sent a Patek Philippe watch to a suburb of Baltimore through the UPS store on Angell St., Providence, RI. The insurance was so expensive that I only insured the watch for $10,000, although it actually sells for $30,000. The package cost $199.31 to send. The watch was delivered two days later. Since no one was at home to receive the package, the UPS driver dropped it on the steps, forged the recipient's name and left. The package remained there for several hours. Luckily, the recipient found it when he returned home several hours later. That is the kind of service I could have gotten with media mail from the US Post Office for $8. I therefore disputed the charge. UPS itself replied that I had not paid them and therefore they would not refund me the money. The UPS store replied it was not their fault but the fault of the UPS in Baltimore, and therefore they would not refund my money. Forging another person's name, especially when $10,000 are involved, is actually a felony which receives a punishment of several years in jail. Should I be responsible for paying for the commission of a felony? The UPS store made a goodly profit and therefore should refund my money. My advice is to stay away from the UPS store, as well as UPS in general, and use Fed Ex. read more

After Christmas I brought 2 identical items to the store for Amazon return. Now I am getting emails from Amazon that one was not returned. I am unable to find my return receipt, and called for assistance. The person I spoke to was quite rude, saying that all the Amazon stuff just gets thrown in a larger box for return. Staff is nice enough, except when u disagree with their assessment of package sizing. THEY REGULARLY OVERCHARGE. I had a sense this was happening as I'd not payed too close attention to package dimensions, until last time. Randall (female) measured a 12 x 5 x 8" package (that's what FedEx had it as) to be 13 x 6 x 9. Actual dimensions were 11 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 7 3/4. I walked the extra quarter mile to FedEx, didn't mention anything and they came in at my package dimension. Sorry, 4 3/4" doesn't round up to 6. That's how your $50 shipment becomes $60. PS ~ I'm an engineer, I know how to use a tape measure to determine rounded-up dimensions :). read more

Came to drop off an amazon return. UPS was supposed to pick up at my office, never did. They were alternatively supposed to drop off a label. They did not. So, I brought my package and paperwork from amazon to the ups store. They were rude and unhelpful and said "we can't print a label. We are not ups." Really?! This is the "UPS Store!" But they are not ups. They will not help with ups shipping. Save your time. Use fedex or usps. read more

In and out within minutes, always. You can't beat the fast service here. Prices can be a bit steep. If you are like me and regulary have Amazon returns with pre-paid labels, this is the best spot to drop off your boxes. That said, parking here gives me anxiety. There are only about 5 spots in front of the store and I'm always afraid I'm going to either hit a car as I enter, get hit while I'm parked, or get hit backing out of the crazy narrow spots. Parking is often available on the street, but if avoid parallel parking you'll either need to take your chances in the tiny spots in front of the store or circle the block a few times. read more

I ordered something on amazon and it was supposed to get delivered today. I checked the amazon app to track the package and I see it says that it tried to get delivered so I went to the door to see if the delivery person left a note like they usually do. There's nothing there so I call ups and tell them the problem and the lady tells me the driver said he couldn't deliver because no one was home. There was a car in the driveway and I also have a sign on my door that says to bring all packages to the back door. The problem are the delivery people who are too lazy to get out the truck and do their job,It's ridiculous! read more
