That said, I learned the hard way that this location does not believe in early weekend mornings. I showed up around 8am expecting it to be open. Nope. Lights off. I figured I misjudged and assumed 9am made more sense, so I killed some time and came back. Still closed. By then there were a few of us doing the same confused walk up to the doors. When I finally checked the hours and saw they open at 10am, everything clicked. Friendly store, helpful staff, but if you're an early errand person, plan accordingly or you'll be adding an extra lap around town to your morning.

When the woman finally materialized, she was nasty and uncommunicative, answering my handful of questions with questions of her own that completely sidestepped the information requested. She never smiled or seemed even remotely interested helping me find the best product. Her only concern was selling me a grotesquely overpriced protection plan. Additionally, I needed a new printer and told her I wanted a canon. Even though they had several, reasonably priced canon printers in stock, she said Canon was an awful company with third-rate products and then tried to sell me an HP printer with a price tag that was triple the price of the Canon!!! The saleswoman was nasty who made a career talking down to her customers. I'll never set foot in a Staples store again.

If anyone is looking around for a place that offers more than spiral binding, they do offer "perfect binding" which is glued, unexposed page edges where they're bound together. More like a real book and more durable. I wish I knew about them sooner. Update: I tried to use him again for a personal book binding project. He gave me rushed service and did not give me the product I asked for. If he didn't have the time to do what I wanted he could've referred me to the printing shop one Plaza over. They did take me, and told me he will sometimes refer clients. The woman there understood exactly what I was asking for and instead of blatantly refusing my service like ad print guy did, they just let me know when to pick it up.
