Came here to get my fingerprints taken as a part of renewing my credential. They made an error that resulted in my cleared prints not being accessible to the CA teaching commission. They did not enter my ss# on my application. They refused to acknowledge their error or redo my prints at their expense, stating I would need to pay again. When I returned with the information provided by the teacher credential commission the owner became aggressive claiming he was being threatened and the error was on the part of the Credentialing commission. They did eventually redo my prints at no cost but only after they were reported to the department of justice. When I tried to give my feedback about feeling uncomfortable with the way he spoke to me both as a woman and a customer the owner responded by telling me I had a bad vibe/ attitude towards him. I will be avoiding this shop in the future and based on many reviews it looks like others are doing the same. read more

UPS is a joke and the clowns will take your money to ship an item then claim incorrectly addressed (works on Google maps duh) and don't bother as it saves gas and time which is all money. UPS made me upload 2 completely different apps to correct the address which FedEx and USPS have no problems and UPS occasionally will deliver but it's outta the way location forget it as contractors don't want to spend time n gas when they can just make up a few different reasons and send it back. Zeke was extremely helpful. I had a print-only Amazon return label i needed assistance with. The store's Outlook email was down so I could login on their computer to print tge label. As well, my wifi wouldn't connect to the store's for electronically printing from my phone. Zeke gave me his cell # and let me forward a screenshot of the label. He then connected via wifi to their printer and printed my label. He did not even charge me the $3 for print label. COVID-19 In-Store Service Needed to ship something AND have a couple documents notarized. Where can you go to get both done? The UPS Store. This is a small store so it is a little intimidating during "the covid", but they handle it well. During our visit shipping was quick and easy (our box was all taped up and labeled well in advance), but we had to wait a while for the notary. He had stepped out and there were already 2 people waiting for his services. When is there ever a rush on notary services? So we had to wait outside since there is a limited number of people allowed inside. Once he got back things moved quickly but we had to be careful because someone else showed up for notary service and tried to cut in front of us. Again ... when is there ever a rush for notary services? In the end 2 items were checked off my to-do list and I walked on home. COVID-19 Safety Precautions - All staff wore masks and gloves - Plexiglass barrier at the register - Hand sanitizer available at register and on counter - Customers required to wear masks - but not enforced. - someone took mask off to talk on phone in store - another customer had to tell the person to go outside - limited amount of customers in store - though the staff was not to rigid on this These last 2 items are what knocks my rating from 4 stars to 3 - they should be more diligent about customer behavior in such a small store. 2x now I have been in there and there was a customer with their mask not covering mouth - and in one of those the customer was using the copier (I'm not touching that now). And both times there were more customers inside than true 6 foot distancing would allow. read more

Recently checked out the Inner Richmond UPS store before Xmas and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Previously, I've only been to a couple other stores (Castro and one in FiDi) and both were certainly much larger. However, despite this, the Inner Richmond location seemed well run and was not overly busy. This was even with it being close to a hub of other mailing services like the post office and Fedex. My errand was quick and the employee at the counter made it super simple. I had an amazon return that required a scan of a QR code to process. As soon as that was done I was on my way! With the store being a quick and pleasant walk from the Haight I will definitely return for my next shipping needs. read more

I've only had great experiences here. They are the best shippers in the neighborhood compared to FedEx which has low grade customer service. There might be sometimes where they are helping someone with notary service and can hold up the shipping line but usually a backup person will step in to help out. Keep up the wonderful service team. Got a fingerprint card done here and they did an absolutely horrible job. Long story short: card got rejected and the manager refused to give a refund so I disputed the charge with my bank and will also file a dispute with the better business bureau. UPS corporate can't mandate they give me a refund so they think they exist as some kind of sovereign nation, but capital one will prove otherwise. Always pay with a credit card ;) Just noticed I am not the only one who had problems with the fingerprints done here. If you're thinking about going here for fingerprints, go to ID solutions in Sunset instead. They can livescan or they can print the fingerprints on a card for you. DO NOT GET FINGERPRINTS DONE HERE! THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING! I attached a picture of the card so you can see where the prints are smudged from pressing down too hard. Response to owner: I knew this would be your response. I asked politely twice for a refund and your manager stonewalled me and refused. How would you know what I said when I've never even spoken to you other than the brief snarky response you gave on yelp. What do you think the argument was over? All of the other one star reviews you're just making excuses and not offering a refund. I knew you were going to go this route. If you cared about customers at all you would give me my money back, which corporate has confirmed twice with me that you are refusing to do. Respond to my BBB message yet? I visited this UPS Store location to drop off a package for international shipping for which I had already created the shipping label online. The UPS website claims that this location offers international shipping services, but when I brought the package to be shipped, the staff told me that they could not process it because it was international, and directed me to take my package to the main UPS location in the Mission. I was skeptical of this, so I took my package to the nearby Japantown location which is supposed to offer the same services, and I was able to ship the package. So much for needing to go to the Mission location. I also tried to use the printing services, but the staff failed to inform me that the "Online Print" option on their computer is obsolete, and that I needed to user the "Internet" application to print. This caused me to be charged unnecessarily for the "Online Print" service, which doesn't even work. The Japantown location on Post St. is larger and better-equipped, and has more attentive and helpful staff, so I recommend that location instead. read more

I grumbled as I packed LEGOS and assorted toys and books (mostly LEGOS), thinking, "I could make a fortune on eBay.." 50 sets out the door, another 60 left at our humble home - and that doesn't count the two huge Rubbermaid tubs of LEGOS full of miscellaneous bricks. Off to grandpa's they went thanks to the help of the UPS Store. The woman, Carina, who works there is a doll and while I went around the block to find parking (it's on a busy stretch of Geary, no private lot) she processed my order and gave me the AAA 15% discount that saved me $40. She was also very helpful on the phone, offering to help me unload if I called her 5 minutes out. Her colleague wasn't quite as on top of it: He stood near the counter staring at me through the door as I struggled, nearly toppling over on the sidewalk with two stacked, oversized Amazon boxes and wondering, "Who would ever put a door you had to PULL open to enter at a SHIPPING store." Feng shui that. But for the tremendously proactive Carina who ran out behind me as I went to retrieve the third and heaviest box and insisted on carrying it in, promote her and give that woman a raise. She's awesome and I truly appreciated her help! I'll come back to this location for my shipping needs. The holidays will be here before you know it. read more

I went in today to drop off a prepaid package Needed a receipt. The young lady working was kind and efficient. There was a customer without a fence mask and I didn't appreciate the law not being respected. Please do not allow people without masks into your business during a deadly pandemic Or maybe this is my last use of this location as I had issues the last time I came here too. I get that it's not the employees job to police the public. However this is law so they do have pushback rights and if someone enters without a mask, please ask them to leave. My health should not be further at risk because nobody wants to do anything about this. read more

Recently went in there to dropoff a UPS package as well as leave another very small package or letter for the USPS. I was told by the agent that the store could not accept any more US mail since their receptacle was full. He told me the nearest post drop was about a block and a half away. I had driven and parked near this store - I am handicapped and can't walk a block and a half, so i would have to drive my car and search for a nearby space, all to drop off a letter. THIS IS RIDICULOUS - THE STORE STATES THEY ACCEPT US MAIL YET REFUSES TO ACCEPT MY VERY SMALL PACKAGE BECAUSE THEY HAVE "NO ROOM?" I called this UPS store the next day to speak with the manager, and i was told i was speaking with the manager and that he was the one that refused to take my letter. So, either the UPS store should take letters, etc. for the USPS AT ALL TIMES or quit the MISLEADING statements that you accept US mail. The store manager needs to be educated, sounds like he has no training, certainly LITTLE TO NONE in customer service - sounds to us like he is over his head and the title "manager" is simply in place of senior clerk., The franchisee needs to bed more selective in hiring....we can all go elsewhere in the area! read more

THE WORST. Was charged approx $150 to send a package to a friend who is living in Mexico. It has been weeks, and the package has never arrived. UPS has never reached out to the sender (me) OR the recipient. On our own, we learned that apparently the package is stuck in customs. Despite hours on the phone and my opening a UPS account, UPS refuses to enable me or the recipient to pay the duty. The person who works at this particular UPS store has only returned one of my three voicemails. She didn't even look up the tracking number and gave me misinformation. Unacceptable. I will never voluntarily use UPS again. If forced to do so by a client or a financial institution, if this particular store -- UPS Store 0178 -- were the last one in the city, I wouldn't touch it with an 80-foot pole. read more
