We have used this location for our shipping needs many times, however, it is very difficult to come here if (Michael) is working. Today for example, my husband and I went to mail 2 items and this person michael, which is what he said his name was, is very rude, Unprofessional impatient and appears to hate his job. He is the most unprofessional, unapproachable individual that we have ever encountered in a business. We Literally walked out and did not do our business there and googled the next closest ups, went to the other one on el camino, where they were helpful, patient and approachable. Monday afternoon, at 5:21pm, when my 5-lbs package was already processed and labeled by Michael, UPS Driver showed up. I asked, "Oh, is there a chance that it will be picked up today??" while Michael assured me: "Of course!! The Driver will spend at least another 30 minutes here!!" Estimated delivery was Feb. 12th. Guess what...My tiny package was NOT picked up for another 28(twenty eight) hours, and its delivery was also postponed till Friday-the-13th. When I called (916)921-9221 to ask the same question -WHY?!- their Manager-Female happened to repeat, over and over, that "Delivery is not guaranteed, and you did sign our contract; that Driver...picks up packages according to their shipping status (Express, Ground). Drivers do NOT scan shipping labels! Its done in the warehouse, West Sacramento, by computers and scanners! Drivers pick up everything and deliver it to the Warehouse, AND I didn't ask a single work regarding "estimated de-li-ve-ry". All I wanted to find out - to no vial - is WHERE my package was for the next 28 hours, till Tuesday night, 8;42pm...Did it fall behind their desk/chair? Ive been to the store awhile ago and using the computer to do a print was messy. It's not set up correctly and make nutes go by where you are gauged for time. Months later the computer isn't set up properly for printing still I'm an expert and taught college computer courses. I addressed the issue over the phone and the worker said email it when I get there to the office and they would print at the counter. They gauged me $5.00 for one label. They didn't warn me and the prices are not listed anywhere. Previously after I was gauged for doing the print myself they faxed it to the wrong place although I filled out the form correctly. I didn't catch that because it was so confusing to get anything done. When communicating they are vague with quick half answers. This has happened multiple times. read more

I just left and already know I won't return. I hate when businesses don't know they own policy, and make things hard for people. Life is hard enough as it, why make a person go through unnecessary troubles? Is that what customer service has come to? I received an email while I was next door at Chipotle that my package had been delivered - this was at 3:11 pm, I went into UPS at 3:16 pm. I had the email pulled up, with the tracking number and showed it to the lady behind the counter. She asked for my ID and I told her I have the tracking number, she said she needs my ID. I'm like the email is right here, I just received it, and it has the order number and tracking number. She refused to give me my package without my ID. I have a picture of my ID in my phone and I literally just got the email - just give me my dang package! Luckily my wallet was in my car, and I had my ID, but I was upset because according to the email UPS sent me which stated "Note: An officially recognized form of ID will be required when retrieving your package. If you are picking up the package and are not the addressee, you will also be required to provide the tracking number." I understood that as meaning they would accept the tracking number, but I see it says also, so along with your ID. I live down the block so I come here often and the staff sucks, especially the girls that worked this Saturday morning. They were super unfriendly and their customer service was trash. This is one of the busiest UPS location in Sacramento. It almost has customers inside all the time. But the employees there are always friendly and helpful! Mailbox rental is available in this UPS store. The difference to have a PO Box in the post office is you will have a street address for your letters or packages if you rented a mailbox in the UPS stores. This location usually have 2-3 employees there. They're always give me a very nice greeting when I walk in the store. The services are good and fast. But sometimes I have to wait on the line due to too many customers in there at the same time! They have copy machines, fax service, and notary service in there. Usually no appointment needed. Many parking spaces available in the parking lot. But no many in front of the store. The morning and early afternoon is very busy in this location. Very frustrating experience. My print order was supposed to be ready on Thursday at 2:30pm, and it wasn't ready until Friday at 9:30am. When I went to pick it up, the colors were off, the image wasn't scaled right, and there were streaks from the printer not being cleaned. Staff didn't notice, and when I pointed it out, the manager on duty gave very unhelpful information trying to justify why the colors were off instead of just admitting it had been a problem with their machine. I would give a one star review, but I was grumpy, so I understand some of the bad attitude I received from staff. read more

Stopped by the UPS store to mail an item. Only five customers allowed inside at a time and fortunately I was able to walk in immediately. Short wait to be helped, staffed acknowledged me soon as I walked in which was nice. It's a small store but they offer a variety of services including mailbox for personal or business, and (remote) physical address mail service. The person who took care of me answered my questions concerning the mailbox services and provided additional information in terms of mailbox size, duration, and other elements of the (mail) service based on price level. I asked if the mail service was able to be transferred and was advised each UPS store is independently owned and unable to transfer service, nor would the post office do, which is good to understand as we determine which service meets our needs. read more

This is hands down the worst UPS store I've ever been to. I've had several unpleasant experiences, and the only reason I've gone to this location was for convenience and I regret it every time. Last weekend I tried to return an Amazon package. The guy behind the counter said "it needs to be in the original packaging" I didn't have the original OUTTER package because it was damaged beyond use, however the item itself was in the original cardboard shipping box (which it should have been shipped in, in the first place). When I said that, he then stated he could wrap it up in their packaging but I would have to pay for it. I said, "nothing says it had to be in the original packaging" and he, VERY CONDESCENDINGLY said, "umm actually if you read the second bullet point on the instructions, it tells you that". I have attached a picture of the instructions and NO it does not say it needs to be in the original package. I took my package and went over to the UPS store on fair oaks (the one I usually go to) and they took my package no problem, they were fast, professional and friendly as always. Please do not use this store at all. In fact do not use UPS. If you absolutely have to use UPS please go to a different location. But like I said I will never use them again. First of all you go into the store and have a long wait time. Then on top of it I asked if I could have my package delivered next day and I was informed when I took it in yesterday that it would be delivered today by 7 pm. However now it is telling me it won't be delivered until tomorrow by 7pm. I'll be surprised if it even makes it there. The customer service when you call in to the main line is horrendous. When you call the store the manager basically treats you like an idiot and asks what you would like him to do about it? And that he can't do anything about the package being late. I wanted my package there to my friends today for an important reason. Now I there is nothing to do about it and they could absolutely care less. He also mentioned there was a disclaimer in small writing telling you delivery is not guaranteed. Like what on earth. Okay yes my mistake that I didn't read the fine print and thought that the agent would not misrepresent the company and give me true information. Never again will I use them and it's just a reminder that companies like UPS do not care about loyal customers and only care about their own financial interests. You would think that they would at least offer something for the time and emotional stress this has caused for me. I would give them a 0 stars if that was possible. Unfortunately, Nathan, as I told your manager and as I am telling you now, I do not have the luxury of running around for some photos. I work during your business hours. The job was simple- to take professional photos. That was not done. I have gotten several opinions and I am sure yours would be no different. Apart from a shabby setup with no tripod and right next to a window where natural light can and does interfere with the lighting of the photo, there is nothing professional about receiving a blurry, washed out photo and being told I have to pay to fix your employees mistake. Your manager could also learn better customer service, as someone who also works in this industry. Your generic response has not offered me a solution one day before my appointment which has forced me to get photos taken elsewhere shortly after my unpleasant encounter at your establishment at a much more professional and satisfactory standard and for much less than I was charged here. I needed to return a package using a prepaid UPS shipping label. This was the nearest UPS store. I brought the already wrapped/taped/ready to go package with me to this store. The employee working there, genuinely and warmly smiles, saying "Good morning, please set the package on the scale here" and as I set the package down, she's still genuinely smiling "Would you like a receipt?" and I said "yes". She printed the receipt, and I thanked her and wished her to have a good day as I took the receipt from her. She smiled and said "you too, thank you". So that was the fastest, easiest, least hassle experience I've ever had, probably in all of 2019 so far, when at ANY retail location. Warning! Ownership change! So many problems with the people in the last few months After over 10 years of using this mail box they started returning mail and said our PO Box was closed since February (3months ago). I have picked up mail 2 weeks ago and at least a dozen times since February and had it handed to me personally and never a word was said and not one phone call, voice mail etc. I guess it was up for renewal. No notice in the box telling us it was time to renew.... Every call I send and received is logged into my phone system and NOT one call, just returned mail. Also lots of returned mail since I am a treasurer or several business I filled out the forms for and now decades later they say I cant have a business (i'm not a business just a treasurer for several non-profits). Should have told me that and not accepted the forms and years later change the deal. So thanks to these guys the kids groups I am a treasurer for have to suffer. Why is it whenever I go into the UPS store, there's always somebody with a 20 or 30 minute transaction ahead of me? But that's not the problem I have with UPS. The problem is the counter people not acknowledging anybody standing in line waiting. I had one instance where I was holding a very heavy box, and I stood in line and waited, and nobody offered me the opportunity to set my box down on the counter. Surely, they care about customer service don't they? Based on my experience, they don't, so I'll be looking for my local business services office to take their place. Today, I was making a return to Amazon, which requires a scan of a QR code and given by Amazon. My transaction took less than 30 seconds. But I waited behind 2 very long transactions and stood in line for at least 15 minutes, and neither counter person acknowledged my existence or the person behind me. I've already stopped going to my local UPS location for this reason. And now I can just avoid UPS stores all together. read more

If you need a live scan, DO NOT GO HERE!! I needed a live scan for a background check for my job and the guy barely knew what he was doing, and had an attitude while doing it. Anyways I completed my fingerprints and then I waited OVER A MONTH for my employer to get my background check. When they finally got it they said the reason it took so long is because the live scan operator filled out my paperwork wrong. They put my social security number where the facility number went. So I was waiting over a month to start my job and then couldn't even do it because I had to get my fingerprinting redone due to an error they made when filling out my live scan form. On top of that they charged me 94$ just for a live scan and when I went to get them redone somewhere else I only paid 56$. If you need a live scan done save your money and TIME and go somewhere else. read more

I have come to this UPS Store location quite a few times now so I feel like I can fairly write a review. The parking lot is always crazy but not because there aren't spaces available but because the parking lot isn't set up very well and it's not in the best part of town. It's located next to a particular McDonalds location which doesn't attract the best crowd. The employees inside are always friendly and helpful every time and really seem to want to help get you in and out of there quickly. Inside of the store is rather small, but they do have PO boxes to rent as well as shipping supplies to purchase, and a computer and printer/copier to use. I have only come in here to drop off my already paid for packages, but it's always been quick and I've never had to wait more than a minute or two. I will keep coming back. read more
