I shipped a single 30 lb package, billed at actual weight of 29 lbs. The ups shipping cost was $52. This store charged me a $40 HANDLING FEE for computer entry, sizing the package and placing a label! First I did a shipping estimate online using UPS website, it came back at $52 with NO handling fee! Second, I chatted online with UPS (twice) who told me to go to the store for an adjustment. I like having a UPS location so close to home. This store is family-owned, I believe, and everyone who has helped me has been kind, patient, and efficient. During yesterday's visit, I was helped by Crystal. She was knowledgeable enough to refer me to a corporate UPS store about an issue I was having (I had printed a paid UPS label, but to incorrect address). Thanks for taking care of me! The store itself is pretty organized when I have stopped by, and there is free parking right outside of the store. I usually am sure to either bring my packing tape with me or have it all taped up because I believe all locations charge for tape. read more

I came into this location today to print out a single black and white page document, and the employee working behind the counter was less than honest with me. I asked her specifically what the price would be and she told me in no incertain terms tha the price is $.25 cents. This price seemd reasonable to me because most of the other non-independent office supply stores charge $.25 or less for a single page. I was told to use the computer to print thid and it took a coulle of moments. After it was finished, she came back to me and said that the price would be $2.39 ! I am not a fan of flim flammery or employees that try to take adbantage or switch-up the price at the last moment. I brought this obvious discrepency to her attention and sje says to me "ok sir, this time I will only charge you $.25 but next time you know". As if to say that it was my fault! Went by there today with several Amazon returns requiring different preparation (some no box/no label, others needed boxes or packaging). Matt was extremely helpful and patient in explaining what I needed for each item and helping me get organized. He pointed me towards a shipping envelope that fit the item perfectly and checked me out quickly, but did not rush me. Great experience! Would highly recommend that store! read more

Was shipping 3 day select that will deliver the package on Friday, 3 days before Christmas. Shipped on Dec 19th. two days later, I checked the tracker and it was scheduled to be delivered Dec 26th. Called UPS and they said it dropped off at this UPS store on 19th but the facility did not get it until the 20th. Now I am calling UPS to help. If you need your package to be shipped on time, take it the facility on Gaithers RD Gaithersburg not here. read more

Customer service has really gone downhill. The last time I was there, something that should have taken 5 minutes, took almost 20. Today, I was instructed to call this store by the main UPS number in reference to a missing package. The woman who answered the phone asked me why I called her and when I told her that I was instructed to call her and asked why my package hadn't been delivered, she responded by saying "I don't know, I'm not the delivery driver." Turns out after I asked more questions that my package was delivered to the store because it had been damaged. Something that took her only seconds to realize after she finally decided to look up my name. read more

Usually a great experience, but not so today. I stopped by to ship several boxes around 3pm today. One was large so I couldn't carry all in at once. I handed it over to a clerk I've never seen before and mentioned I'd be right back a few more packages. He seemed offended by that for some reason. As I turn to go, dude picks up my box and throws it on the floor very aggressively. I stopped and asked him if there was something wrong. He acted confused. I asked, are you okay? Yes, Ma'am, I'm okay--with a smirk. I was the only customer there and frankly I didn't feel safe. There was very little passive in his passive-aggressive behavior. I decided to go elsewhere with my other packages. Hope he doesn't last long there. read more

Really a substandard and unfriendly place. Worse than third world. An employee could not figure out how to print a label from the existing Amazon refund account, and could not ship with the existing printed label that I brought with me. Was nasty. Refused to give his name and in the end said his name was Jose, which I don't know whether it's true or not. I will not use the store ever again. read more

WOW. They took BAD to a whole new level. Went in to send a box back to my corporate HQ using our UPS Account. 1) they wanted to charge $1.00 to put a piece of tape on the box 2) they won't accept UPS account #'s - HUH? this is a ups store... 3) said I needed to go to the Hub, took them 10mins to find the address All of this coupled with serious attitude from the moment I walked through the door. I recommend avoiding this store. I shipped a large box from this store and they measured it wrong and they charged me an extra $105. I even told them they were charging too much but they insisted it was the correct fee. Only after getting home and reviewing the UPS fees online for oversized packages did I confirm their error. The store manager acknowledged the mistake but both the manager and store owner refused to refund the $105. read more

This place needs to be shut down.. they always continuously signing for packages and when you arrived to pick it up. The staff John who refuse to give his last name states there is no package. When clearing there is visual receipt with his signature and name on it. The manager is never available on site. Even if you ask for her number John no last name sates he doesn't have it. I was in this store on 7/2/14. I never got the clerk's name behind the counter but it was in the early evening. I went to make a return on an item I didnt want, and the gentleman was AMAZING to say the least. It was refreshing to see someone who seemed passionate about his job. He was kind, and had a great conversation with my boyfriend and I. When we left, my boyfriend and I looked at one another and said WOW... its nice when you can receive great customer service. Ps. I went in here to return a package to Amazon.com. The box was open and my return address was on a piece of paper, not a sticker. The clerk behind the counter was super helpful and made the transaction as painless as possible. He taped the box shut for me, affixed the label, and gave me a receipt for the box in case there was a snafu with the return. He was super helpful, friendly, and the whole exchange took less than 60 seconds. I wasn't charged for the tape, nor were the others in the store who were returning Amazon and Zappos items. This was my first visit to this particular UPS Store. Service was great. I was greeted immediately upon entering the door and was waited on immediately. I needed notarization of two documents done. One document was unusual, but Theresa was great. She took care of me quickly and professionally. And....the price for the notarization was reasonable ($4 per notarization). She was also training a new person when I was there. She was very knowledgeable and provided good and thorough instruction to him while I was there. Our law firm engaged Rockville UPS Store #0117 on 31 December 2016 for the photocopy of 2,679 pages on behalf of an elderly client on public benefits. At least as much as 80% of the photocopies we received contained only partial images of the original documents, which rendered the photocopies useless. Many of the photocopied pages were stapled together without instruction to do so. Some of the stapled pages did not belong together, and some were stapled together out of order. The UPS Store #0117 took more than five hours to complete this work with innumerable mistakes. This law firm was forced to spend hours to sort the entire project to find any acceptable photocopies, then take up to 80% of the entire original project to Rockville Printing and Graphics to have the project completed correctly. This law firm has spent innumerable hours working to secure a refund for our client, including contacting our credit card company, the business itself, UPS Headquarters, and the Better Business Bureau, which has all been completed at no expense to our client, of course. The UPS Store #0117 "manager" claims the staffer who collected the 2,679 photocopies reviewed all the pages and left the store satisfied. This claim is impossible on its face, due to the time it would have taken to review the thousands of pages. The service provided was so poor, and the customer service so lacking we have also filed a complaint with the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection. We are posting this review in hopes of protecting other people from ever using Rockville UPS Store #0117 for any photocopy project. Based on the extremely poor work quality and the abysmal customer service, we recommend not doing business with Rockville UPS Store #0117 for any purpose. read more

Excellent service! Had to send a package in a hurry. Adellio was professional and helpful. He searched the best way to send the package and saved me a lot of money! He had people waiting but was able to juggle tasks while ensuring he captured all information correctly. He never made me feel rushed. I called the next day to get assistance tracking the package and he was very polite and quick to track and update me on status. So this may sound odd. I am sure it will. But, each time I go to this store, I leave smiling. The most I interact with is (whom I believe is) the store manager. (She just had a baby last year-- is she the manager? If not, she should be) She is so kind and always so helpful. I once dropped off a package that was supposed to go to USPS... she was so sweet about it. Didn't make me feel silly at all. She just said, "I'll leave this for the mailman when he comes." On 10 April I sent package to immigration office. And 10 times I said that this package has my original document! Please make sure it will delivery safe! They just delivered my package to wrong address! Even they don't know where is my documents yet! In this package my original documents plus my SSN number, also the application with all my personal information!!! Ups just lost my documents!!! I really already hate that company and service over there!!! How the driver can't see the difference between Virginia and Maryland. Instead of Virginia he delivered my documents to some place in Maryland! And nobody doesn't know where is my documents! Don't recommend!!! Never will work again with that company!!!!
