DON'T USE IPOSTAL HERE! Every time I wait for my mail over the past 6 months, I've been adding to this review. I was outvoted by my organization when we needed to get a mailbox. I wanted a post office box, they voted for an ipostal account. I'm the one who picks up the mail, so I deeply regret this decision. Our ipostal account is here. The service is atrocious. Employees have ignored me at the desk when I'm the only person in the area. It should be a simple process, and yet twice in the last two years employees didn't out process mail correctly so I've had to call their service center to get them to remove the mail from my account. You might think that's not a big deal, but ipostal charges you if you don't pick up your mail in a given time. And their phone lines always have a wait. 4/4/2026- I came to pick up 4 pieces of mail and they lost one of the pieces of mail. The person working at the desk called her manager and they're looking for it, but how unprofessional! The supervisor said he's going to continue looking for it and will call me. read more

It's a pretty standard office supply store. Also they're merging with Party City, which sounds like but is not a joke. PROS - Nice store, good selection, lots of neat stuff. Their paper and pen selection is a treat. - Not as annoying as Best Buy, not as cramped as MicroCenter (both just up the road from this location). CONS - A pretty intense markup on any kind of computer accessories. I mean there's a long history of this in technology retail but it's hard to go 200% on an extension cable from what you could get online with next day shipping. - Service varies wildly. I haven't used their shipping or copy center, just regular staff. Sometimes you feel like you asked a friend for help and they did their best, other times you feel you asked a gas station attendant if they're dating anyone currently. - Don't waste your time with clearance items. As far as I can tell they're not actually marked down at all, they just are moved and relabeled with yellow numbers rather than black ones. On a recent visit I noticed they have bins full of totally random junk items like aquarium filters and soap all posted up in gigantic buckets. I suspect someone bought a few palates of Amazon returns and decided to recover on what was obviously a very bad investment. read more

Pretty average staples but I personally prefer the one in glenmont more just because I've been going to that store since I was a kid. The Rockville staples is a bit hidden but conveniently off the pike with a small parking lot. Service can definitely be improved. No one came by to offer assistance or even greet me when I entered the store. It also appeared everyone else was being assisted on so I think my service was a bit off. Pricing wise, staples is actually pretty pricey in my opinion. It's only actually nice if you apply a coupon or have some type of discount. read more

Unfortunately today was the last time I stepped foot in this place. Usually is my place to do all my printing work, my TSA card and my Amazon returns. A place near and convenient. Not anymore! On 2 occasions that I had the unpleasant encounter with Mr Kelton from the printing department, I was mistreated. He yelled and got too close in a very rude, disrespectful and threatening manner. No manager on site and I left almost in tears. I am a 65 year old woman and in any shape or form he had the need to be so nasty. No skills, manners and mental stability to be a supervisor. Hi everyone, beware of the supervisor named Kelton Moulton located at this Staples in Rockville. There were some price discrepancy and misunderstanding amongst one of the associate and I, therefore I went back on another day to discuss this matter due to the drastic price difference and hidden charges I was not informed of. Unfortunately I've had a very distasteful and unpleasant interaction with Kelton, whom I thought could help me. I have been degraded and spoken down to by this individual, not just to me, but in front of other customers and associate. The situation was beyond unprofessional. Stopped by today to drop off two boxes (that were pretty small) since they have UPS pick up. Waited at the counter for a few seconds , I greeted the man working there , he never greeted me but instead said "okay I'll explain this to you again" and then goes on to explain that they can no longer take boxes, only small packages like the shipping envelopes. I haven't been in a staples for over 6 months and he acted like I had repeatedly come in there to drop off packages. I also didn't notice any signs stating what he said. I wasn't impressed with my visit. The store has lots of items - office supplies, filing solutions, electronics and paper supplies. The items weren't competitively priced. There is a small clearance area in the back of the store. The section is hit or miss. Magic markers, envelopes and many items were less expensive st Walmart or Amazon. The employees were not focused or alert. I am glad I did not need assistance. The best thing about the visit was having a safe parking lot to wait for AAA to change a flat tire. read more

I just got yelled and cussed by a staff from this staple store of Rockville Pike. I had very bad experience at this Staples Store of Rockville Pike. Went into this store today to dropped off a UPS package. This is my first time in this store for UPS service. Went up to a Staff and try to ask for assistance where should I dropped off the package. Staff without saying any words but only pointed with his finger towards front door. So I went towards front door area and try to figure out where to drop off the package, without any signs or posters I couldn't figure out. So I went back to counter and ask the same staff for further assistance. All of sudden this un professional staff raised his loud voice and yelled " I just told you over there" and then start swearing and cussing. I was so shocked, is this how they treat customers? I requested a store manager to filed a complaint. Spoke and explained the situation to a supervisor. She apologized. And ask me to wait for few minutes and going to help me with the UPS dropped off package. 5 minutes gone by I waited, 10 minutes gone by I waited . After 25 minutes gone by and still without any assistance. I had lose my patience and left this horrible store. Never again I will return to this place. read more

I think Staples is a really fun store! Well, at least some sections of it are .... Seeing all the colours -- especially after years and years spent mostly at home, going nowhere -- does a lot of good for my eyes! It's great to be able to drop off my UPS package with no hassle, and then be able to buy things such as a really nice purple laptop sleeve, pencil case, and no-damage black hanger for my black chalkboard painted wall! Everyone is very nice, as well. Oh, plus when you go to the UPS section, you get a coupon! I saved thirty percent on my laptop case with it! Yay! :-D One thing I don't like is the move from binders having the binding part (rings) at the centre to having them on one side (If you could see my face right now, you would see the look of disgust at this thought!), so that papers get bent a lot more while stored in them -- and plus they're just not symmetrical and I very much dislike that! Luckily, however, there are still some good binders available here, such as the very nice stone-themed paper ones with an all-over-print of a photo of the cutaway of a rock ... clearly perfect for your geology class needs! They come in a rosy-gold look, black-and-white, and lovely light green .... The Happy Mail boxes and bubble mailers are really cool, bright, easy to use and really happy, just like the name says! Some are available in the UPS area and others are in the mailing supplies area. Staples does a really good job of keeping up-to-date with whatever's coming next such as the start of school when many, many backpacks suddenly come in and there is a really great selection of styles! There are a lot of things for teachers and students -- for instance, huge poster markers that I can't wait to get and try! Something I'd never seen before I got to see on my last visit yesterday -- one cashier was using two cash registers and began to check the person behind me out while I was still paying .... I thought that was very cool! I was impressed with the talent and initiative he showed. Every single worker I saw there smiled at me -- whether or not I spoke with them. I didn't need or ask for any help with anything (for one thing because I like to look at everything everywhere and see for myself! I'm not trying to get out in as short a time as possible. I want to see as much as possible! I know that takes time.), but everyone I encountered was super-nice and most helpful. I've been shopping here for many years and this is based on many, many visits at all times of day and various days throughout the week and weekend. I can't say I'm every disappointed! As for the pretty purple laptop bag from Milan, it fits my laptop perfectly! It has a really cool feeling to it, too ... a nice texture that is also very protective. About entering and exiting the store, it's easy to park, there is an awning with parking right by it for when it's raining, the door is big and opens automatically, so it's easy to come and go .... When you do go (leave), there is plenty else to do nearby so if you're coming from a bit away, you don't have to make the trip for just this but you can eat at or get take-out from one of the many nearby restaurants, and even eat your take-out at a park nearby if you like. Or, you can enhance your visit to another store. I mean, people take busses to Rockville Pike from Pennsylvania -- they go on Rockville Pike field trips! (I know because I've met them and asked what they were doing.) After all, Rockville Pike is the largest open-air mall in America! Of course it's worth the trip! (About workers who don't smile -- people are people with their own backgrounds and experiences! Some people may be reticent to smile due to happenings in their past but of course if you as the customer or just fellow human smile first, you're much more likely to get past that façade a whole lot quicker! Niceness creates niceness!) I on the whole LOVE going to Staples! This is a great place that will make your working and studying life a whole lot more FUN! They really know how to make that happen! The manager of this location, either needs to be seriously retrain or fired. Horribly understaffed, some people were working, their absolute tales off, and some were just sauntering around like they didn't have a care in the world. The poor girl in the copy center was left alone with a long line for 15 minutes or more before an older male coworker came over and jumped ahead of everyone in line to check something in for himself I guess. When I asked him about it, he stared at me like he wanted to fight me. And when another lady in the other line asked him a question. He was extremely rude to her. Three people in the store were working very hard, everybody else was basically just stealing money from corporate and giving attitude to all the customers. read more

The item I brought up to the register said it was on sale, a sign said 50% off. But cashier guy said that was last week and sign not taken down. So I left and ordered on Amazon. I went into Staples in Rockville Pike today with my friend and for some reason the workers were group up together just starring at us when we walked in. We were looking at stuff and this one employee Indian looking dude with clear glasses with gray polo shirt asks do we need help and i said no we don't need help thanks tho and then not even a minute later the same employee came back and said we had to take are mask off and i said why he said because thats the new rule I literally went there last week 3 times and they never mentioned anything about a mask now all of a sudden we are not allow to wear them!!!??? Keep in mind me and my friend were both wearing Covid Masks and it was just that one employee who came up to us so we just ended up leaving and will never go to Staples in Rockville Pike again. There was also another guy wearing a covid mask in the store and he aint say nothing to them tho!? Like i think he was just targeting certain people who he felt suspicious of. Worker or Manager i don't even care theres no way he should be telling people to take off there mask when theres germs still going around if thats the case put a damn sign out saying no masks allowed. So we end up going to a different location where my cousin worked at and asked him is there a new rule where you can't wear a mask in any Staples store? He said no we never had that rule, i said thank you because i was at a different Staples before i got here and this one employee there said that they had that new rule and we had to take are mask off and he said he must have been targeting yall for whatever reason and said thats no such rule so we looked around, bought what we were looking for and left. This is my go to location for Staples for when I need things quicker than Amazon. Ordering online is easy and the website is good to filter any products that are available for in-store pickup. They do have a good selection of the standard products available for in-store pickup and most of the other stuff is online only. Stopping by and picking up my order was easy. They have a online order pickup sign but I have never seen that open; I generally have to get in the main checkout line to pickup my order. The store is well laid out and stuff is easy to find. All I needed was a toner cartridge and I was in the neighborhood. Never again. The female cashier at the checkout spoke minimal English. So I was not able to correctly enter my preferred customer information. Then I inserted my card, the transaction said it was processed, and I removed the card when it said to at the end, after it asked how I wanted my receipt. Then she claimed the register canceled the transaction, and she blamed it on me. So I left that product there and said I would go back to my regular store. Now I have to check my credit card to be sure they did not in fact charge me for the item. What a hassle. read more

Do NOT drop packages at this Staples location, or really any Staples location. My packages were lost THREE TIMES in a 1-2 month time frame. Dropped off, never scanned and disappeared off the face of the planet. Both USPS and Staples unwilling to help me and I'm out $200. Staples has no cameras directed to the packages so cannot provide proof they were ever picked up by USPS. I suspect someone is stealing packages after the third time it happened to me, I've sold over 1,000 packages in the last ten years and have never had one get lost until now. As a teacher, you are always running out of office supplies and ink for your printer, and Staples really helps out. I create lots of assignments at home and my ink supply is crucial. Staples has a rewards program that is constantly sending me discount coupons to use when I buy ink. They give me credit when I bring back the empty cartridges too. I am a sucker for an assortment of colored gel pens to grade papers. I think it hurts less to get feedback in passion pink or turquoise. My students respond better too. Then, there are storage containers to hold books and supplies. My favorite jumbo teaching calendar that becomes a blotter for my desk. And did you know that Staples has the cutest borders for bulletin boards and accessories? This week is teacher appreciation week and we get a pack of coupons and discounts for buying supplies for the classroom. So, if neon colored post it notes don't float your boat, I am sure that Staples will have something for you. The personnel are extremely helpful and cheerful. I walked around the entire store looking for a certain kind of paper, not one Staples employee said one word me, one just looked me right in my face and said nothing. This staples location is close to everything in Rockville Pike. It has lots of ample parking, the store is well lit and they will have most of the products that you need from Amazon right away. The selection is wide and with colourful sale every week. Now the reason for my two starts. They really need more cashiers or at least cashiers that know how to keep customer in order. On the day of my visit customer cuts in line. Cashier just ignores it and keeps going. He didn't seem to want to be there. When I went to TSP to ask a question the attendant seemed perturbed that I asked a question. The manager needs to send his staff to training on how to treat folks with dignity. Loads of other places to buy supplies from online. Poor customer service makes you feel like you are there to help them. I won't be returning and if you come here make sure to come with a load of patience. read more

Went for a TSA pre-check appointment and arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. There were two other people in line when I arrived and one person at the counter being helped. I asked how I check-in for my appointment at 5:20pm and the Staples employee stated to just wait in line. I told him that appointments were prioritized over walk-ins per the TSA website. He said to just wait in line and he would help folks in the order they arrived. Then, he asked everyone's appointment time and the guy in front of me was 5:20pm, just like me, and the guy first in line was 5:30pm. The Staples employee said that it didn't matter that we set up TSA appointments online and he won't take us in the order of our appointments. He could have followed TSA policy, which everyone was aware of and wouldn't have minded, but he didn't try. Why even bother making an appointment if the Staples employee won't honor policy. Poor customer service. Additionally, when it was my turn at the counter, he didn't answer my questions completely and mumbled half answers. If you need to do TSA pre-check, go somewhere else and save yourself the hassle. read more
