I picked the company because of their big blue trash trucks with the American flag painted on the side. They pick up twice a week and their rates are reasonable. They'll take just about anything. Have been using them for years and never ever had an issue. They literally take everything. One thing I love is that they don't make a mess like the other disposal companies. I've watched others and if the trash misses their trucks they leave it there. Wright Away never leaves trash around and doesn't throw our cans in the street. Terrible service. We inherited them from the previous owner and one day they failed to pick up so I called them, and all they could say was can you wait until the next week. No, I can't wait until the next week. If I could then I could wouldn't need to have weekly service. I could just do bi-weekly. And what happens if you don't show up next week. I have been using Wright-Away Refuse for 25 years. They are great! Very reliable and it is very rare if any items are dropped. Calling the office is always a pleasant experience! I pay a little extra to have my trash picked up in my carport at the top of a long, steep driveway. I have used them for 6 months now. They always take everything and in my search, were the only refuse company that would take large items for no additional fee. They are prompt, my trash cans are never lying on their side and they are courteous. The biggest sell for me though was the bulk item pick up. So nice! read more

I never write reviews. But today I will. I have no review towards the service, but with their drivers, I do. They are reckless. Howard C., one of their drivers struck me big time in Hwy 270 and FLED THE SCENE. I was left alone in 270 shattered and scared, thank God my children were not in the car with me. And that I drove my Suburban that day which protected me. I had to FOLLOW this blue trash Wright Away Refuse truck for 3 miles just so I could get the plate number and report to the police. Drivers around me allowed me to follow him and I have plenty of witnesses. I even drove next to him and plead that he stop, he DIDN'T... Instead, he just looked at me and sped away. Reported to the police. I called Wright Away Refuse and politely asked to speak with a manager and the lady that answered was so RUDE and said their driver never "noticed me." No apologies at all. All I wanted to do is report the recklessness of their drivers so that it wont happen again. Next time, they might kill someone. He didn't notice me? The trash truck knocked down my passenger car door handles and transferred blue paint all over my black suburban. And I saw him and he saw me. He knew what happened. POOR accountability from this company. read more

We have used this service for years and have been generally very satisfied, but we have had some problems. First there was the vacation stop. They took note but never told the truck and I was billed for the whole two months. Once the truck drove up my street as I was rolling out the garbage can. Since it is a small circle I figured they will pick up the trash on their way back. But although the driver waved at me on the way in he never did stop. It seems that a little effort would keep a customer satisfied, specially considering that there is so much competition in this area. read more

We have been using them for years and are very happy with the service. Since we have less trash now, we only do one pickup a week instead of two, but the price reduction was not very substantial. My only beef is that it seems they have no website, so I can't look up scheduling changes - e.g. today is Veterans Day and I don't know if they'll come tomorrow or not. Would be convenient to be able to get that online, but it's no biggie. read more

I used this trash company for a number of years. When I moved I told them I would have more than usual at the curb and paid for additional days to be sure everything was picked up so the new owners of the house wouldn't have to deal with it. Well, they didn't even show up the last day I paid for, and when I called to find out why, I was told "You lied" and the woman was rude and argumentative. When I tried to talk she hung up on me. She did the exact same thing to my wife. I would never recommend this company. On the second to last pick up, I even helped the driver load my trash and tipped him $160. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau. They don't even rate one star after speaking with the woman who answers the phone. I can't even refer to her by name because she refused to identify herself. read more

We have used Wright-Away for more years than I remember. Their trucks are cleaner than any trash truck I've ever seen. Love the American Flag on their trucks too! Wright away has never missed a pick up at my house and come at the same time every week. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
