OUTSTANDING! These guys are amazing and would never use anyone other than them. I think they came to our place 5 times before we moved to SC. Very professional, great service, great communication and most of all great price! read more

Eco City Junk - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

Eco City was great--super responsive, great service and communication. I'll be calling them again when I need help with removal!

Jeff and his crew were able to pick up our old couch on short notice in the rain. Showed up on time and got it done super fast. So easy to work with! read more

I am a disabled veteran living with PTSD and memory-related cognitive issues. No explanation was provided after the first missed appointment. Prior to the second attempt, however, my partner emailed Jeff with the following message: "Just a heads up: he's a veteran and can get stressed more easily, so calm communication and check-ins really help." Despite this advance notice, due to my condition, I was again unable to successfully enter the property. I apologized sincerely and hoped for understanding. Jeff responded by saying that "we can't keep doing this," and the tone sounded annoyed. While no additional comments were made, the lack of acknowledgment of what had been shared beforehand and the tone of the response made the interaction feel dismissive and embarrassing. I made a genuine effort to communicate respectfully and reschedule. I was disappointed by the absence of patience and calm communication toward an elderly disabled veteran, and I believe customers with disabilities deserve respectful treatment, even when logistical limits are being discussed. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended and helps improve how similar situations are handled in the future. read more

This is the second time I've used this company to remove stuff and the experience was again great. The team got there on time. They were able to get a couch out of a small room which was a feat in itself. They removed the door to get it out and then put the door back. They carefully brought the couch and other items to be disposed of down the elevator and through the twisty passage way to get them out to the truck. Great attitude - nothing was a problem. They charged me honestly and were able to donate most of the stuff. Will absolutely use them again. read more

Team arrived on time and performed all services required with no issues. Would use them again and recommend to others.

As always, at the end of a move, when you are exhausted and the piles of things to go to the transfer station are everywhere.... You realize it's time to call for help. Please do what we did - we found EcoCityJunk here on Yelp and trusted the great reviews. We called, we scheduled - Jeff and Willy and their stylish blue truck showed up exactly on time and ready to do the job. I had warned Jeff that I wasn't sure if it would be one load or more, and he said, "we can take care of whatever you need." They did. I'm very grateful for the skill and focus they showed. Well done!! read more

Jeff is my go to guy when I need large items removed from my home. He's very quick to respond and always does the job very soon after contacting him. Pricing is fair and I will definitely use Eco City Junk again in the future. First rate service. read more

Jeff and team arrived early and removed our items quickly. Professional and friendly- will use again in the future. Thanks Eco-City!

I used Eco City to clear out a small storage space at my condo, They arrived when they said they would and unfortunately had to deal with a lot of ice in my alley. They worked efficiently to clear out the unit and also take an old dining room table. I also chose them because of positive reviews but also because they recycle what they can. Sometimes you just have to move quickly but don't want to just trash stuff that someone else might want and you don't have time to give away. I'm relieved to have it done and price was reasonable. read more

Good rate. Easy to schedule. Good communication on the day and followed up with what was eventually donated.

Jeff and his crew were very pleasant to work with. They worked with my schedule and came in time. They were also efficient.

Had Jeff and his crew take away a couch today - I paid what I was quoted, which was very competitive in the marketplace (e.g., lower and more specific than College Hunks), and service happened on time and efficiently. Jeff was very communicative and both he and Willy were very professional. I would definitely recommend Eco City, and will use them again when/if the need arises. read more

I had a great experience with Eco City. Jeff and Willie were pleasant and efficient. I was getting rid of all my stuff due to a relocation and it turned out I had more than I realized. Jeff made sure that all the heavy things got on the truck so that I was left with just the small items that I could manage myself. That consideration was much appreciated. They also maneuvered the big furniture down a flight of stairs quietly, so no noise problem for my neighbors. A huge relief to have this done. Thanks, Eco City! read more

These guys deserve more than 5 stars. Jeff was quick to respond, pricing was fair and his quote over the phone was on point. And both were very personable in person. What a pleasure! read more

Jeff and his crew were on time, very reasonably priced, cleaned up well and are just really nice guys! Will DEFINITELY use them again - I highly recommend this business! read more

Very responsive, Jeff is friendly and reliable. I used them for my parents' estate. He was flexible and broke the job in multiple days so I could also sort through items. He was mindful of my timeline and gave appropriate advice. They came several times- always arrived on time, worked hard and accomplished a lot. I appreciate the hands on care they provide and like supporting local businesses. Would recommend! read more

Eco City Junk has done several jobs for me since I moved to Maryland last August - from hauling away moving junk to taking cumbersome broken furniture. They arrive on time, are super friendly, and very reasonable with pricing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs disposal services! read more

Jeff and Chris were great! All my junk was cleared away quickly and without worry. Their communication was stellar and they were prompt and efficient in the removal. They even donated a portion of my total to charity. Of which they had a list to chose from. Really appreciate the hard work and my patio is finally clear. read more

We called Eco City Junk to our home last week, and the service was prompt, courteous, and expert. The crew removed a King size mattress from our upstairs, and brought one newly delivered to our home up to replace it (not sure if this is a usual service, but they were very nice about it). They also removed a big wooden desk, chaise longue, and an old upright freezer from our basement, and an old wheelbarrow from the back yard. It was a pleasure to deal with Jeff, the owner, and we felt the price for their excellent service was very fair. The crew took extra care to keep our carpets clean (it had been raining, and was muddy). Our second time using Eco City, and like the first time, it was outstanding. read more

So grateful Jeff and his team exist!!!!!!! I can't recommend them highly enough. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they take stuff for donations and only then do they junk things and they were on time, FAST, kind, funny (I accidentally called Jeff "sweetheart" because I thought he was my husband who was actually in the other room ), and the same cost (I think actually cheaper?) than junk hauling companies who don't go the extra mile and do donations. Thank you so much!!!!! read more

Sent a request for a quote to remove junk, got a message back saying, and I quote: Unable to service I don't offer the service So if you're looking for junk removal, don't use Eco City Junk, they don't offer junk removal service. read more

Jeff and Willie were great. Super communicative and punctual. Clearly were experts in moving furniture from tight spaces. I couldn't recommend more highly. read more

Jeff answered my call, gave me a quote after I sent a few images, and then was able to come out within a few hours to complete the job. They were courteous, efficient, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to others and I'm sure I will utilize their services in the future! read more

I needed someone to remove an empty water heater that was hard to remove from my Townhouse. Jeff was responsive and the price was reasonable. He and a crew arrived during the time window provided and worked carefully to remove the water heater, saving me the hassle. Highly recommend if you need someone to help remove stuff. read more

Jeff and his crew were professional, polite, and prompt. The amount quoted was reasonable, but then after seeing the amount of stuff they reduced the price to accommodate without me asking! Will definitely consider them in the future. read more

I had a fairly last minute mattress, frame and dresser removal in preparation for a move that needed to get done. Jeff was incredibly responsive and gave me a reasonable quote. He and his colleague arrived right on time (maybe even a bit early), were in and out in less than 15 minutes--even in my pre-war building with a small elevator and awkward doors--and within the quote provided. They're also very friendly! I'd highly recommend Eco City for any furniture removal needs in the DMV area. read more

Jeff and his team arrived right on time and worked quickly. Perfect communication. Highly satisfied!

Prompt, professional, made clean out easy. Even emailed me a donation receipt! Jeff responded to my request within an hour and scheduled me for first choice day. read more

We had some 30+ year old couches and other furniture that need to go. Reviewed Consumer Checkbook and found Eco City Junk. They had great ratings on Checkbook and Yelp!, and these ratings were more than correct. I called Jeff (the owner), provided him a list of the furniture to go, he gave me great pricing, and they were here the next day! They loaded their truck, we added some more junk, they moved some furniture for us and, get this, the final pricing was less than Jeff's quote because the truck wasn't completely filled. Great pricing, on time, and honest. read more

Great communication. Extremely careful. Timely. Reasonably priced. Experience couldn't have been better.

We had just a few bulky items left over from our move into a new condo which were just a bit too big to fit in a car to take to the dump ourselves. (dining table, ikea leather chair, bookcase, etc.) Not a big haul by any means - but I called Jeff and received a fair quote and was happy that he had availability in the following week. Jeff and crew came exactly on time and they were able to take everything in just one trip to the lobby. Quick, easy, and friendly - exactly what we were looking for. read more

We needed two extremely heavy mattresses removed from the second floor of our apartment. The crew arrived on time and had removed the mattresses within five minutes. We were impressed as moving these mattresses in the past has been a struggle. They were also the cheapest quote we received by quite a bit. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend! read more

Fast, courteous, easy-to-schedule, we had a good experience working with eco city junk

Superb service! Jeff Zweig called me twice to alert me when he would arrive. He arrived on time. Took my big, old, dead 50" TV away, along with a piece of exercise equipment that I SHOULD use every day, but haven't used ever. For years. Great experience. read more

Jeff and Willie were extremely helpful, friendly, and flexible! Living in DC it's not easy to get help moving furniture but they found a place to park the truck and moved everything from the 6th floor very quickly. read more

Excellent communication; scheduled quickly; super careful with our newly painted walls and newly refinished floors. Very satisfied.

Jeff was really great to work with accommodating my appointment cancellation at the last minute and rescheduling me with no extra charges.

Great guys. Reasonable rates. They came over to disassemble a large armoire to remove it from my townhouse. My stairs were a huge problem because of the twists and turns, 3 flights, so we decided not to move forward for fear of damage to the wood floors. Despite the time spent, they refused to charge me for their time and effort, although I was happy to pay. I understood the difficulty. I highly recommend them and will use them in a heartbeat if the need arises. read more
