I came in to copy and mail some documents. I'm 6 months pregnant and was with my toddler. Two associates were super helpful One female associate copied the documents for me and a male associate gave my toddler a small section of bubble wrap to stomp, which is one of my son's favorite activities to do. Update 2/7/17- was contacted by UPS corporate about this or similar review I wrote. After explaining situation, they still did nothing, just passed the buck. Will wait to see if buck passing goes anywhere. Update 5/1/2017- after much go around, they finally gave me a service guarantee. However my review still stands. Original review: This review is about the store and UPS in general. Stores are franchises, so the quality varies widely. UPS as a company- if all goes well they get the package where it's supposed to go on time -- but that's the minimum you expect Short strokes, I left a next day air package with the store in plenty of time to go out that day. They apparently failed to get it out, so it didn't get to UPS till the next day, so it got delivered late. UPS has refused to offer a service guarantee.* This store itself is clean and neat, the staff is generally friendly and helpful, I would give the staff 3 or 4 stars. But prices are way too high, you can open an account easily with UPS and pay much less, or use the post office direct, and printing and similar services they offer are avail. much cheaper and better at officemax or many other local locations. Try Diamond Springs PO, less busy than Placerville. * If things don't go so well, late, lost, damaged, they are consistently a nightmare to deal with, I always dread having to communicate with them, as in getting a service guarantee. I am a mail order business so I do a LOT of shipping. Unfortunately there's just not a lot of alternative shipping choices, FedEx is only a little better and not too good in this area, I use the postal service whenever possible- they also screw up occasionally, but my experiences with damage and lost package claims has been very smooth with them. And as a percentage of packages sent, I have far fewer issues. read more

I was in the ups store during a slow time. I was having trouble bringing up a label off my phone. I stood out of the way while trying to download the label for at least 5mins. When a employee finally looked in my direction I told her I was having trouble she just nodded her head and walked away. There were 3 employees on duty at that time. I'm not sure if they just didn't want to help or that's the way people think a business should be run. Next time I'll try placerville or Cameron Park. read more

I've always received good customer service at this UPS location. They have a decent variety of shipping services including USPS services. I would rather handle shipping here than the local post office any day. Only downside is sometimes there can be a short wait as there is usually only one person running the store at once. read more

I've seen the UPS people here put up with some serious BS from random customers, so I wasn't entirely shocked at the only review here (Really, Carter W.?) This staff here are friendly, competent, and I always look forward to coming here. The lines are almost never long, and things move pretty quickly. I know other businesses in Placerville that prefer to use these two locations over FedEx and USPS. There's actually another UPS Store in town, just a few miles away (not 15 miles), and it's similarly well-staffed, so that should tell you about how much stock to put into Carter W.'s review (that, plus if you look at their other reviews, Carter seems to really enjoy dumping on people's businesses for the fun of it). read more

I was just at this UPS store and the ladies there were awesome! I had set up for a package to be picked up from my home because I don't have a working printer at home so I was told over the phone that the pick up guy would have the label for me. The UPS truck did come but the driver never came out of his truck and drove off. It was upsetting that I had to take the time to drop the package off. I came to this location just now and let the employees know my situation. I was initially told I had to have the label but when I told one of the employees I only had a photo of it, she worked with me and told me to email the picture and she'd print it out for me. Well her innovative idea worked and all 3 ladies working there worked together and made it happen for me. They deserve major kudos! read more

I went hear ti send a package to my son who is the Army. I asked them to box it. They said they would rape it. It would be find.i asked for extra insurance they said no you don't need it. But they were wrong the package is now lost. They are sorry. They sent me to the post office to deal with my lost package. I will Never use them again. If you have family in the military can you understand how important it is that they get letters. This is very upsetting to me. I'm out money, time and most importantly my son is with out a gift from home. So thanks lady's in the ups store for ruining my day and losing my son's gift. Very unhappy Army mom read more

This place has some bad karma. Don't expect much. The staff is neither friendly nor professional. I needed a document notarized. I called the day before and was told to just come in anytime. Next morning, at the store, the public notary refused to help. The document was in Spanish so she said she couldn't sign something she couldn't read. I reminded her that she didn't need to read it. She replied: "I don't need to know what it says but I need to understand it and I can't because it's in Spanish" (??!!?!?! ...). Good waste of my time on an already tight schedule that day to get an important, time sensitive personal document notarized, authenticated at the Secretary of State in Sacramento and mailed abroad. By law: "A notary public or other officer completing this certificate verifies only the identity of the individual who signed the document to which this certificate is attached, and not the truthfulness, accuracy, or validity of that document." read more
