I had an urgent work situation and came in at the absolute 11th hour on Friday evening right before closing (and before a 3-day weekend), needing a lot done fast--about 200 pages printed, copies made, and important business paperwork shipped in multiple packages for next-day delivery. I hate being the person who walks in right before close needing a big favor, but Amy was truly incredible. She was kind, calm, and had such a great attitude the entire time. She was a total problem-solver and helped me figure out the best way to get everything printed, organized, and shipped so it would arrive on time. She never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing her, even though I absolutely was. Her supervisor (I didn't catch his name) was also fantastic (funny, upbeat, and clearly someone who leads with a good attitude and a sense of humor). I am writing review because I ordered an order through nespresso. Already paid way too much money and it gave me an option to have it shipped to mountain Mail in Placerville for free I arrived at mountain Mail.The lady was not very kind asked if I had a box with . Completely rude asked for my ID and then charged me $5. The fact that I had an option to ship it there for free and was charged by that company is disgusting..... DO BETTER Definitely not a good way to​ do business with a non-customer. I will definitely never ever ever recommend or open a box. You should not charge to receive somebody's package and hold it for a day! read more

I am a huge fan of supporting local businesses, however, I will never bring my business to Mountain Mail in Placerville again. One time a year a local Rescue coordinates with the surgery center located in the same business park to do free vaccines for El Dorado County. I pulled in to an open parking space today on the backside of a business where there was no indication that parking space belonged to anyone and within 30 seconds of me pulling into the space my vehicle, not being in park yet the owner of Mountain Mail comes out yelling at me that I'm not allowed to park there. I was really confused as I was on the backside of a building where there was no storefront. There were no cones blocking the space and I have done nothing to this man. He was so worked up and angry. He couldn't even catch his breath while he screamed at me that we were just taking over and I said, sir I literally just pulled up. I have done nothing to you. This went on and as I tried to call somebody to notify them of his behavior. He threw a box behind my vehicle while I was in reverse, trying to move my car, and I ended up running over the box and then he threw his hands up in the air as he walked away like it was my fault. I was in reverse backing my vehicle up. Why would he put a box behind my car. I'm not sure what point he was trying to prove but wow, just wow. While I waited in line, I heard volunteers having to find owners of other vehicles because the owner of Mountain Mail was throwing a fit that people were in his so-called designated parking spaces. Mind you this is on a Saturday around 10 AM. I'm sorry I didn't realize a Mail store needed more than five designated spots because they're so incredibly busy but still, had he have come out and approached me in a cordial manner I would've happily moved my vehicle obviously I moved my vehicle anyways because he was acting like a crazy person and I was honestly afraid he was going to cause damage to my vehicle. Another note to mention I was not parked in his storefront. I literally picked an open space on the backside of a building and he still came out screaming just seems a little overboard and now I will never bring my business to that store again. I hope any others that had to deal with this business owner and his behavior today also share my same sentiment and do not bring their business there as well as please share with your friends and family. We are a small local community and a rescue was doing a good thing for the county, and this was his reaction. read more

Our band needed a 24" x 36" poster sign for our upcoming gigs. I designed the sign using Microsoft Publisher and copied it to a flash drive. Joanna was at the front desk and assisted me. I had forgotten the QR code to our Facebook page so she added it. The poster came out sharp with vivid colors. They use Epson inks. Hands down the best customer service I have ever had. All the staff is wonderful, Nancy was so kind.

Stop charging people $5 to receive their package there that's supposed to be free shipping for the customer. You are disgusting for this. As if we don't pay enough money in our lives do you charge for a piece of tape too? If I place an order and it gives me an option to ship it to your place for free I expect to receive my item for free not to get there and be told I need to pay $5. The way you do business is no good and the rude customer service is absolutely appalling. I have been in here three times over last couple months. Every time, it has been the only place in EDC that makes me feel like I'm back in the Bay Area of rushed rudeness. Most unfriendly, unhelpful folks working there. Simple shipping - grunts and general unhappiness exudes from their counter. Asked about printing, not one word of explanation - just a curt "go on website" brusque and impatient response (which is the most antiquated system I have seen). It's ok though, I have a $5M tech marketing budget that I will just keep spending at my same Bay Area print shops rather than move anything up to them. So I just smiled walking out knowing that. The staff here are absolutely incredible. I have seen them reduce a box size just to save a person money on shipping. I have never seen a box cut down to efficiency like that and I am not a young woman. I primarily use Mountain Mail for picking up personal shipments. Sure it's an extra fee but you know what? Came here on a busy Saturday around Christmas and this place was pretty busy, but I was out of there in no time at all! I had a package with shipping that was already paid for and one of the girls behind the counter saw me and helped me right away instead of making me wait in a huge line - I was really impressed by their service. It was a night and day difference from the service you get at the UPS store or Post Office! I also noticed that everyone in the shop was smiling or laughing and looked like they wanted to be there helping people. I will totally keep supporting Mountain Mail Service in the future. read more

I walked in with a mask on to drop off a prepaid package and you would have thought I was asking the guy behind the counter to walk off a cliff to help me. Neither he nor the other person were wearing a mask. He tossed the receipt on the counter and walked away. I see other posts here about the attitude at this store. I have used this mail service for a long time now. There is one person who proves difficult and today was no different. I'm only writing my post here in hopes the owner will call me since my phone broke and I do not have her number now. My 10.00 payment would have been paid today. But she (the other lady)doubled it and refused to give us our check card. I asked to have you (the owner) call me and walked away. It didn't stop on her part. I sat outside in my car hoping you would call so I could handle this but I never received a call. We need our card, please call me. I will never go in while she's there again. I am self employed making functional high fire pottery and ship it all over the world. I took five pieces of pottery to Mountain Mail to pack and ship to Taxes. It cost $40 to pack and ship... When the pottery was returned by FedEx because of breakage, I inspected the box and Mountain Mail had put all five pieces in too small of a box with only one piece of bubble wrap around the pottery...no packing materials on the bottom of the box. When I inspected the box in the store, the broken bowl and casserole dish were actually missing. FedEx is paying their minimum insurance ($100), but the owners of Mountain Mail are now refusing to cover the additional cost of $75. Mountain Mail negligently packed this pottery and should take responsibility for that. I will NEVER be giving my business to Mountain Mail again!! If you do, I suggest you pack it yourself because they sure can't. read more

Recently my work shipped a product to a customer through Mountain Mail and when the package tracking number showed that the parcel had never left their building we called and were told that that the manager would call us to keep us updated. We never received a call and after three more of our own follow up calls I finally reached the owner who gave me a myriad of excuses why the packages never were delivered and how it was now lost. Packages get lost-I get it. It was $12 shipping and a$40 product, not a big deal and I told him that. I said that I was just disappointed that after four phone calls and two weeks we never received an apology or a phone call and that I felt like he was blaming us for choosing what he kept calling 'the absolute lowest priority shipping'. He said 'in business you never apologize' I'm just sort of shocked that his type of attitude exists in a small town business. I used to really enjoy going here but obviously won't be be going back after this experience. read more
