Unfortunately, I had already directed my mail to the location. I'm moving out of the area within a month and a half why would I sign up for 3 months. They are also the highest mailboxes in the area. I came here on August 6 (around 4 pm) and again today, August 19, 11:45 am, for notary services. Both times I was told the notary had already left for the day, and the customer service rep referred me to their other location in Brentwood. Why would a business advertise notary services when their posted hours for this service are unreliable? Their Main Street/Oakley location is much closer to my home, but because I needed my notarization done asap, I ended up going to their Brentwood location on Lone Tree, and the notary there was able to assist me right away. read more

The lady was very very nice in the store I feel genuinely bad for her. I don't know if someone didn't show up for work today or they just leave her by herself but there was a line out the door the whole time we were in the store with her having no help. Then she left went out to the back came back out and was wiping her mouth off like she was eating if they don't give her time and someone else to be there so that she can eat in between working maybe you guys need to hire another worker for help. Got everything I needed but everyone in that store about at least 10 people were pissed off so I would try and get another worker in there if you could to diffuse the situation because whatever is happening now is just making the worker have to deal with all these rude people because it takes half an hour to an hour to get through sometimes depending on what people are doing at the store. She's very nice and that's not the reason the store got a bad review she is very very respectful. If I could give this place no stars, I would. Horrible customer service; you can tell they want to get you in and out to go home. I walked in for a notary service at 510pm and was turned away and told notary service ends at 5. How? It takes 15 minutes, if that, to help someone with a notary. I told them I checked the website, and the notary service states 6 pm, and the gentlemen at the desk said that was just the state-wide store hours. I looked at the storefront door, but no time was listed for notary services ending at 5 pm. This was not the first time this has happened to me at this location, and it's always with the same manager who is this older woman h Who looks so unhappy with her job? You can tell it rubs off on everyone. I also wasn't the only unhappy person in the store. This store needs a new, refreshed management team ready to work and bring back their customers. I need to mail a package, so I came down to the Oakley UPS store on Main St. The package is a little heavy, I get a great parking spot, grab up the package & carry it in m... WHAT!? NO LINE! Christine greets me with hi, how are you? Very nice & professional. She has me set the package on the scale... she says, " oh, I can't take this it's FED ex ... she tells me 2 places I can drop package off at and... and she offers to carry my package to my car!!! Like any other postal store it takes a bit to get through the lines. But I had great customer service. I had worse else where but I was pleasantly happy, all I did was return an amazon package. I usually print my own label and drop it off but I didn't see amazon had added a new option so I was stuck with it. But it was a fairly easy processes and I was on my way. This is the typical UPS store, if you mail a package here your golden if it's something other than that expect to pay exorbitant prices. The last time I was here it cost $7.50 a signature for a notary public and they will find signatures they clearly don't need to count and charge you for those too. The prices for simple things are ridiculous and the employees can be abrasive here. I personally avoid it like the plague. read more

I've lived in Oakley for almost 12 years and did not even know this UPS Store existed here! It's like the best secret found! I no longer have to drive out to Brentwood/Sandcreek. They offer multiple services like post office mail boxes, packaging, notary services and more. The staff were very friendly and easy. You can run in and out in 5 mins (considering there's not a long line). Only negative is they need better signs to show their presence!!! read more

Went to this location for Notary during my lunch. Waiting for service behind 15 people only to be told the notary person stepped out for a few hours. Then when I asked Trinity to call the next location to make sure their notary was actually working at that time she acted like it was suck a hassle to do so. So I shipped something today from the UPS store near Raleys in a medium flat rate US postal service box. The UPS store told me it would be cheaper than UPS ground and they had the flat rate boxes there. I payed 23.79 for the flat rate box. Anyways come to find out that same $23.79 flat rate box is only $13 at the post office. I called UPS and they advised they surcharge for their postal services. They were right on the bottom of the receipt it says "U S postal rates subject to surcharge". Just would have been nice to know that before I shipped. Oh well lesson learned. So learn from my mistake and know they have a 70% surcharge for their postal shipping services. Apparently the New York Times came out with an article about what they believe is a UPS deceitful business practice. Oh and to top it off I broke down the box I had my stuff originally in and I asked if they could throw it out for me and they declined and said they don't have a trash and I had to take it with me. I paid $3 to have ONE 8x11 paper scanned for me. Clear highway robbery. I can't wait until my work office installs its own scanner. Color and B&W scanned copies cost the same though. They redeem one star for efficient deliveries for Amazon returns. Expected return date on packages was about a week, but they were delivered faster than that. read more

I'm not a fan of giving negative feedback, but this is very much needed. There is one particular women employee that helped my husband and I with having something notarized. She was very grumpy and I felt we were troubling her with our presence. We finished what we had to do and left. I told my husband that she must have been having a bad day and we thought nothing more of it. A week following we had to do the same thing again. This time we had the same employee help and she was even worse then the first time. I have never dealt with someone as rude and mean as she was. And her over all vibe was not just aimed towards us, It was to other customers in the store as well as when she was answering phone calls. I'm appalled she still has a job. read more

Shipped an overnight envelope with tracking as they are legal docs for a business and two months later after getting penalty notification from state I find out the package was damaged and I was never notified! UPS corporate notified the store the next week after I sent package and store chose to do NOTHING about it. Service has improved with the hire of some friendly new workers. Two of the original workers have become more proactive about helping people who are in to quickly drop off or pick up packages, thus shortening the line by getting those people in and out. The newer young woman with the long dark hair is very sweet and friendly. If there is one thing they could work on, it would be greeting people as they walk in and letting them know (sincerely) that they'll be with them as soon as possible. Not with a "you're gonna need to be quiet and wait" attitude, but with a "we're glad you're here; we're helping another customer but we'll give you great service as soon as we can!" kind of attitude. Customers should never feel like a bother. But, like I said, overall improvement :) read more

ZERO stars. This UPS does not have EXPERT personnel like the USPS ! I had a UPS package delivered to another address that was for me. I called UPS and told them that it was mis delivered for sure. Agent for UPS said " we show it delivered to your porch" at a specific time and I told her the doorbell did not ring and I check constantly. Well she stated that they have to investigate it. I again said the delivery person for you delivered it to the wrong address. I am sure about this! Well come to check ,I was correct the UPS driver delivered my package to the wrong house!!! This is a great place to drop off UPS packages because otherwise you'll pay through the nose if they package it up for you. The staff is mediocre and they usually keep a good supply of necessities in the realm of packaging. Haven't tried their notary services yet. read more

I went in to get something notarized. They told me to come back in 20 minutes. I came back in 20 minutes which was 15 minutes before they closed. The store was empty, but I was told I was too late and that it would take too long but they didn't know what I was getting done. I just needed one signature. So anyway I came back the next day and it only took a minute to get it done. If you want to go home early that's fine I'll just take my business elsewhere. read more

This store overcharges it's customers for basic services. My 12 year old son destroyed an amazon shipping box for a large item. I realized that the item was broken and needed to be returned. Because my son destroyed the box I wanted him to pay for a new shipping box. I sent him to this UPS store with his sister and they charged him $42(!). When he came home and showed me the receipt it looked like they charged him for 3 boxes. I called he store and they said if that was the case for him to come back with the receipt and they would refund him. Well back he goes with his sister and apparently the box was 14, they charged 14 for "fragile packing" (I'm returning a TRASH CAN), and 10 for TAPE. What terrible service! I am new to Oakley and I miss our UPS store in Martinez. This store is the WORST. I will NEVER go back. Save your money and go somewhere with better service. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could! Horrible customer service with Amazon dropoffs. Personally Amazon should take their business elsewhere because the majority of these UPS stores just want to nickel and dime you to death! They should be ashamed. Stay away from this place, they will ream (up charge) you for every cent. The manager treats her employees very bad and disrespects them. I went to ship a a package in a new public storage box 16.5 x18x18. McKenzie measured the box and got those dimensions, she was typing all the info into the computer when the manager came and measured the same box and the told McKenzie she measured the box incorrectly, The Two 18" sides had a slight deflection out( 1/8") where the inside backing made the box bulge 1/8" in the middle of you looked from the top down. The manager then yelled at Mckenzie and said if it's over 18" you have charge for 19". It only made a $3.00 difference in my cost but the manager probably does this to all customers that come in everyday. NOT Recommended read more

I walked into the store expecting to have to open an entire mailbox, and the more questions I asked the more the staff was willing to help me figure out EXACTLY what I needed. I spoke to 2 women- one on the phone and one in person and both were so helpful in explaining what services they could provide based off my needs. I went in to the local UPS store here in Oakley to have them box up and ship a rifle scope for me via UPS ground. The scope was not longer than 15 inches and weighed less than a pound. I was planning on buying a box to ship it in from them and of course would require some "filler" to cushion it during the shipment. The fellow behind the counter did some calculations on his machine a advised me that the price was going to be over $60.00 !!!!. I couldn't believe it. I told him that "he had to be kidding"!. He told me, that "unfortunately; he wasn't". I told him I was going to go somewhere else. I came up with a box of my own and some newspaper and got it shipped from their competitor for under $20.00. Its no wonder that you see more Fedex delivery trucks on the road these days than UPS trucks Believe me, I don't mean to put a bad rap on the fellow who was working at the counter; he was an employee, But this outfit will RIP YOU OFF!!! read more

I run a business where I create and sell very high-end works of art. Chandeliers, actually, that are elaborately painted. I live locally but ship my work to collectors and galleries across the country. UPS Store does ALL of my fragile packing--they are great at it! To be specific, they pack my large glass bowls and forged fixtures into big boxes. They also usually pack same day! The turn around time is awesome, considering the work that goes into packing my art. Usually my big chandeliers ship UPS but they've packed giant works that had to ship freight through the Mainland and ocean freight to Hawaii. They pack everything! We've had boxes so big that they have to be packed outside in the back because they don't fit through the door. For the people complaining about costs, they are out of touch with business and probably do not run businesses. To be honest, I don't know what I'd do without the great staff at UPS Store in Oakley. The fact that they are in the same town as I means my business run quicker and smoother when it's time to ship, and they pack/ship works for me every week sometimes several boxes. read more

The prices are just unreal. I know ups is generally more expensive than the post office, but this particular store is even more expensive!!! It also cost me $18 to fax like a 7 page document. Unreal!!! The staff aren't too helpful either, they are not particularly friendly, not knowledgeable either. I do not recommend anyone come here. Unfortunately, the local post office sucks too so mailing packages or doing business related items in Oakley is a real bummer. I save these errands until I'm in a nother city, like Concord. I refuse to pay the prices that this ups store has set. I simply refuse!! I will not pay what hey are asking. They are rediculous. read more

My package I ordered online, I paid the additional cost for UPS to require a signature on dropoff.... The company I ordered threw did everything correct; ups didn't. The guy came up, rang the doorbell, and was driving away by the time we got to the door.... NO SIGNATURE! I just paid those idiots for nothing!! -- my tracking number shows step by step where it came from, it was loaded onto the truck this morning (5:56am) from the ups in oakley on main street.
