open a bit late on saturday than other nearby ups location

I just left this place! If you need a test of your patience and have LOTS of time to wait, then this is the place for you! All I wanted to do was mail something. I could have gone to the post office on castro but this place was a more convenient location. I thought the UPS store meant faster service. I was even willing to pay a little more to not go to the post office. There was only one girl at the counter. I asked if there was someone else to help and she said she was at lunch at this was at 1:30. There was a long line behind me and I was next but I decided to leave after waiting 25 minutes. I decided they do not deserve my business. I also notice other people leaving before I did. It would have been nice if the girl (Sorry I never got her name) to acknowledged the long wait as a courtesy. Instead she did not make any eye contact with any of us in line as if we didn't exist. I find this to be extremely rude. I was always taught working at a store, that customers are like guests. You have to at least say hello and acknowledge them. I guess they don't need the business. I asked the girl to give me the card of the owner. He will be sure to hear from me soon. I live in Mountain View and I believe in supporting small businesses but not if they don't care about customer service. It looks like I'm not alone in this 1 star review. I hope another business who care about their customers will replace this one. Because as far as I can see they really are not hear to serve the community or want to make money for that matter. read more

On a Thursday, pa 10/27 paid $78.00 for OVERNIGHT service to Arroyo Grande, Ca. FOUR days later, it was delivered, after going through Oakland, Sunnyvale, Santa Maria, then Arroyo Grande. Lousy customer service and they really could care less IF the package ever makes it. BBB is next, already filed a complaint with UPS corporate. read more

Went there to drop an item with a prepaid shipping label as part of a return back to a store. They charged $3.25 just for printing the shipping label. Quite absurd and disappointing. read more

Please update your store hours. They close at 5pm on Sat. Not at 6pm as Yelp says. Spoke to the Manager & he says he doesn't control Yelp. So this is for Yelp to update the store hours! read more

Avoid. Go somewhere else. Wow. Not my normal UPS store and it shows! Spent gobs of money there shipping something overnight and had to beg the salesperson to wait the extra two minutes to get the shipment out on time. 2 minutes. Turns out the buyer of the shipment wasn't legit so we contacted UPS within two hours and they referred us to the store which was closed. Waited overnight and was at the store in person right when it opened. Was the lady at the counter checked out or on drugs? I'm not sure. She couldn't have been less helpful. I thought perhaps she was on drugs and thought I'd be better off finding a different employee. Then, I called two hours later and got a different employee. She couldn't help me right then because she "didn't have time ; and, according to her, her franchise store doesn't offer the same services as the main UPS company. When I asked to have a 3-way call with corporate UPS to get to the bottom of it (since they were referring me to the store and she referred me to back to them), again, she "didn't have time" and I was going to have to call back. Meanwhile, clock is ticking away. She couldn't have cared less. Terrible franchise store. read more

Having used several UPS Stores, this place has the worst service (mostly because of the owner), and is too cheap to invest in a scanner so they don't know where your packages are in the store! Stay away..go down the street and save yourself the hassle of losing packages on a weekly basis. read more

Being a helpful (and semi-hippy) I went to drop of some packaged HP printer toners so they could be shipped and recycled. Since I didn't tape them close (but they were closed because of the little tab slip). The UPS lady began to tape them shut and then when she was all done she said "that will be a dollar." I was like "WHAT?!?" SERIOUSLY. FIRST off, you NEED to tell a customer you're going to charge them for "services". And second you don't charge somebody for a measly 2 inches of tape. I was pretty pissed off, cause I came here to drop off some pre-packaged HP toners to be recycled that are prepaid shipping etc... I stupidly walked back to my car to get my wallet and pay. I whipped out my money for that measly 2 inches of tape to a grouchy old --****--! =( NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I was ready to storm out of there, I mean what was she going to do? Not mail the prepackaged and pre-paid shipping and hurt the poor Mother Earth? F- the grouchy beezy old witch here. F- this place. I'm NEVER coming back here. read more

I only gave this one star so I could write the review. DO NOT GO HERE!! Christmas cards and I gift have somehow never made it to the recipients, even though most were local. They blame the post office but I'm certain they are probably still sitting somewhere in their store. Staff shows very little concern for customers, etc. read more

One woman here is always really helpful and I enjoy seeing her. They should give her a raise. Great place to return Amazon and Zappos products to. The manager has an odd idea about customer satisfaction because he has upped the price to tape a box shut to $1? He says this is to deter people from bringing in untaped boxes and slowing down the line at rushed times. I don't "buy" that, if you will. I find it rude and greedy. It used to be twenty five cents which I gladly paid on occasion. It would be nice if they didn't charge a high fee to ship via USPS - since it usually means there is no point shipping USPS since the cost savings is erased. But, you do a have a choice. Not as painful as the DMV or USPS. read more

Been coming here (and have had a box) most of 20 years. Until recent management (and opening of large apartment complex near bye along with increase in area population) AND loss of old staff, service is now TERRIBLE. Long lines, packages frequently miss-placed for days, phone not answered , processes not followed or inconsistent with different patrons. Would leave in a heartbeat if this was not my address for almost 2 decades. Used to look forward to coming here. Now dread it. read more

Notary Dennis Ro was very nice and knowledgable, and notary service fee was very reasonable, same or lower than other UPS stores in the area. Will use his service again in the future. read more

Wanted to ship a package to Santa Fe NM and didn't have the store address. The guy behind the counter said he didn't now the address and could not look it up. Went to Fed Ex, they boxed and shipped the item for almost half the price UPS quoted read more

Not necessarily this UPS outlet but all UPS service is pretty bad, smashed packages, holes in packages and don't even think insurance will pay for the damages. After jumping through hoops trying to insurance for damages it's been photos of everything, emails, phone calls, damage quotes, faxes etc. nothing and it's been over a month. read more

The one star is for the nice kid behind the counter with a broken hand trying to help the 8 people waiting. You could hear someone in the back wrapping packages, but not once did he LOOK around the corner to see if the kid needed help. I had to mail out a couple boxes and needed them to wrap some bowls in bubble wrap. After waiting about 10 minutes in line, I asked the kid for a box. He went in the back to get the box and handed it to me. Then went to help the next person. I asked for tape. He gave it to me. I organized my packages and taped up one box myself. All I needed was to wrap my bowls in bubble wrap. 35 minutes later I was still waiting for the guy in back to come out front to help someone anyone. The poor kid was slammed with customers and working as fast as he could with one hand. He asked the guy in back for a third time to come out and help. Finally 40 minutes into my visit. This old guy walks out, doesn't ever look at me. Looks at my bowls and theN MY box. Then says YOU WANT ME TO WRAP YOUR BOWLS? i JUST NEED YOU TO BUBBLE WRAP MY BOWLS. He stands there not sure what to do. Then asks the same question. THREE TIMES!! YES!! I would like my bowls wrapped. He just stood there looking at the bowls and my box. Never even looked at me. I finally asked to pay for the box and got my stuff and left. The box was $11. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN! WORST UPS STORE EVER!! read more
