Awful. Simple request to deliver a Visa document to Chicago and 1 day later the parcel arrives at my home in the Twin Cities. The label on the package clearly shows the "To" and "From" are mixed up. I called UPS on 7th Street, spoke with manager and was promptly told I needed to drive downtown again to show him the receipt and package to prove it was done incorrectly. I make the offer to send him a photo of the parcel with the receipt and he says he needs to see it. What?!? He says he's in the middle of a transaction and to call back. Won't waste time with him but instead block it at my bank and mail using someone other than that location. Good riddance! read more

Brought in a document to have spiral bound. The woman working here made me wait while she conducted business for several customers who arrived after me and then completely butchered the job. She punched the holes in the document incorrectly and could not complete the project. Because I had already had the document printed elsewhere, she completely wasted my money and then tried to blame it on me. read more

I went in to 1) drop off a pre-labeled package and 2) attempt to generate a shipping label. The first desk associate was passive aggressive when I asked her for a piece of tape. She placed the tape gun on my box then walked away rolling her eyes. Then when I asked her if I could email her to print one sheet of paper she wanted to charge $2.50 plus .20 cents. I was ok with the fee and was willing to pay for the piece of tape if they charged but the associate was completely rude. read more

Went twice in December and both experiences were dissatisfying. First: The price quoted for the box and shipping were a bit much, and when I asked about a different size/cheaper box as well as cost for a later arrival, all the employee could do was reference one example that was a day later and $2 less. He was unwilling to discuss other options so with this laziness, I asked to see the screen, but he didn't want to turn it so I could (what was he hiding). Ultimately, I got everything squared away, and he (without my asking) discounted the box by $3. Second: This visit resulted in me just leaving and going to FedEx in the IDS building where customer service was 100x better, the price only $1 more, and arrival date far better. At UPS, they wanted me to pay $33 for a box and an estimated arrival date AFTER christmas (I was shipping 12/19). Like before I wanted options, but the employee didn't want to dig deeper. He used the line that it was the best option, then he says, well it's that much b/c it weighs like 8lbs. At that point, I called him on the lie b/c my items were only 5.6lbs when he weighed it. From there I took my stuff to FedEx where they were nice, willing to share cost options, and my items read at 4.7lbs. While FedEx was more...I felt more confident in their service. Another thing I don't like is when you buy a box they want to pack your items and they don't do it in front of you. On top of that when they take your items they just place it on the counter, not in a bin to keep it all together. The reason this bothers me, is b/c there's potential for things to get missed or mixed up with other stuff the counter. In my case I had a lot of small items going in the box...things that could easily be missed especially since they don't even bother doing an item count for what they're getting. Anyway, yeah this is long...but if you remember anything in this message, let it be that operations are awful and something about their practices seem unscrupulous. read more

UNRELIABLE service, rude customer service by store manager Emily. I shipped out a small package on Wednesday morning to Seattle. I asked for the different options and she quickly spat them out, I asked for what the cheapest option would be (First Class USPS) and it was $8.34. She told me it would arrive either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I just needed it to arrive before Sunday for my sister before she flew back to New York. I checked tracking today and it was delivered Monday and so now I have to pay another $8-10 to ship the package ($15 gift) from Seattle to New York. When I stopped by the UPS store to ask about why I was not given better notice that there could be delays or another shipping option that would guarantee the shipment to deliver by Saturday, the store manager Emily rudely cut me off, talked down to me, and insisted that she gave me the disclaimer. I would've paid extra if by Saturday (1-4 business days) was not guaranteed. She claimed that she told me this but once again, given my circumstances, there is no way I would have agreed to the package arriving later than Saturday (4 days from the day I shipped it), since I would have to ship it back and I was already paying $8.50. When I asked Emily if there I could communicate this feedback and complaint to UPS she rudely told me, "go on Google or Yelp", and after insistence, she gave me the UPS customer service number. I use this UPS only to drop off return packages and this was one of the few times I've used the store to ship out items. I do NOT recommend them and will steer clear of shipping anything out besides Amazon returns which are free. read more

I have had a horrible experience with this store. I had this store ship a package for me that contained a $100 gift card and a candle worth about $20 (holiday gifts). It cost me about $13 or $14. Shipped on January 4, 2019. Today is April 23, 2019. No package was delivered. No claim has been paid. I have called the store almost weekly since January. Emily is the store manager and I have spoken with her a few times. She doesn't return calls, doesn't follow through, and avoids taking responsibility. Early on I was told it was delivered and probably stolen. Then I was told I gave them a wrong address. Now today, Emily tells me that they did an investigation and determined the package was lost in a UPS Hub and never delivered. So I don't know why I was told those other excuses before. I have documented every call and interaction I have had with this store, and still no claim has been paid. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (of which they are NOT a registered BBB organization...maybe that should have been a clue for me earlier). Today, Emily said she will re-submit the claim and it will take another 14 days, and they will NOT cover the cost of the gift card. No one in the store mentioned this when they boxed it up and shipped it, nor has this ever been communicated to me in the last 4 months dealing with this. If I had known that I wouldn't have used them, I thought that was what the point of UPS, to insure delivery. Seems like this would have been good information to know before they took my money. I might as well have just mailed it. I will not use this store again and I discourage others from using it, too. Not happy. read more

First time, handed off Amazon return package to person who immediately said, "Thanks, you're good to go," and I left on my merry way. Second time, I had about seven holiday packages to send to different states and Emily patiently, carefully, and efficiently helped me mail each one of them in under 15 minutes (also found me the cheapest price). Would give zero stars. Slowest UPS store in Christendom. Sabah has been on the job 2 weeks and management left her to run the store alone on Saturday morning. Couldn't get the UPS system to accept delivery of two packages to the same address. Good thing three people weren't in front of me or this would have taken an hour. Second package never arrived and UPS said they shipped it via USPS and to take it up with the USPS dead letter office. No package, no compensation. AVOID. read more

I called at 5:10pm to see if the notary would be in. I was told that the notary was in, but they close at 6pm, so I'd better be there before then. I rush around like a tornado and gather everything I need, speed walk to get there, missed class, and endured some street harassment...all for NOTHING. I've used various UPS Stores for years to ship boxes and handle business needs. After renting a box at this location a month ago and using their services daily, this store makes me long for the rigorous, customer-unfriendly environment of the US Postal Service. The employees work like they're underwater and seem to have zero interest in doing the simplest of tasks. Whether there's a long line or nobody whatsoever, you're in for a wait. They repeatedly ask for my phone number and can't seem to update it into their system. Last week, I kept getting emails notifying me that a package I was expecting was waiting for me; however, I had to go back three times before they found it (keep in mind, they notified me it was ready). Today, I stopped by to mail a piece of paper that really required a postage stamp. I waited for them to go through the rigamarole only to find they wanted to charge me $14 to ship something that should have cost 50 cents. There's never any interaction about when I want a shipment to arrive, and they never provide me with cost options in advance. I use this store because I need a Minneapolis address until I have a permanent address. But, I'm seriously considering transferring my service to another location. Congrats, UPS Store. You make the post office seem caring and appealing. read more

I was visiting Minneapolis from Canada for the weekend and had a parcel that I needed to get into the mail before I left Sunday morning. I had checked with the front desk of my hotel and they guided me across the street to this location. Everywhere else was closed and I was hoping that they would be open. When I got there, it was after 4:00 pm and I noticed a sign on the door saying that they had closed at 4:00. There was someone still in the store (I'm sorry I didn't get his name), but he let me in and he was so friendly and helpful. He took some info from me and I paid cash. Later, I received an e-mail saying that the package had been sent out and he even had a tracking number ready for me. I was so relieved and thankful! He really saved my butt and I appreciated that he went above and beyond for me. read more

Stopped in for a passport photo. The State Dept rejected the photo because the top of my head was cut off in the photo. I returned to the UPS Store for a new photo. They actually suggested that the State Dept changes their rules every other week, and that they couldn't believe my first photo wasn't accepted. I realize I won't need another passport photo for 10 years, but when the time comes, I'll have my photo taken somewhere else. read more
