BUYER BEWARE! I was making a return and thought Macy*s sent me a QR code. Turns out they didn't, so the CSR told me to email the labels to them and he would print them out for me. I looked at the sign he pointed to for the email address and forwarded the labels to him. After I emailed them and as he was putting the labels on, I saw underneath the email address "There is a $1.99 charge each for printing out a label. I did not see this the first time, in my opinion it was not clearly noted so somebody can see it. You would think the CSR might have mentioned it to me. I said something to him and (I guess it was the manager or owner) said "Yes, that's the charge". I said "The CSR should have told me, I would not have had the labels printed if I knew there was a charge (of $6.00!). The manager/owner said I could just pay $1.99 and the matter was settled. UPS is getting paid for the packages, they can't provide a label to a customer? Or, if the paper and ink adds up, make it 50 cents each, not $1.99! Also, a lady came in and asked for 1 stamp, they charged her 99 cents. She told the CSR that stamps cost 63 cents and he told her "That's what it costs here, 99 cents". They rip you off at every turn. I will go to the other UPS, maybe they have better customer service policies. read more

Takeaway: Use US Postal Service or go to "UPS Customer Care" center truck dispatch yards vs. independent "UPS Store" retailers. See the math below. I saved hundreds and many headaches through USPS, and would have saved about $100 by dealing with the Customer Care dispatch center, had I gone with them. 1st visit: The kind enough male clerk takes me through the process to send a package to India. $122 for US postal service priority international. He doesn't ask if it needs insurance, so I pay and leave, spacing the insurance. 2nd visit: Have to return later that day to put insurance on it, which then he says can not be done. I pull up an email quote from UPS. He then agrees insurance can be added for a fee. Now he is quoting a UPS delivery, vs. USPS. The fee is $380 (approx.) to send insured. I ask to void the transaction, because of lower UPS rates quoted over the phone, rates to be found at the "UPS Customer Care" truck dispatch location (vs. independent "UPS Store" retailer). I need my original receipt for a return. Fair enough, I spaced it, so I go back home to get it. Again. 3rd visit: With receipt in hand, the young female clerk is not helpful, just goes through the motions, doesn't answer questions. She seems new because she has to call her boss to ask how to do a refund, for which they had made me go home and fetch my receipt despite my trip there earlier in the same day, dealing with the same male clerk. But fair enough. This third time the male clerk is not there, and the female continues. Her boss says "just slide the card she originally paid with." That is it. I am not sure I actually needed the receipt for the return. The clerk hands me a slip to sign for my refund, with no pens nearby, just standing there with weight on her one hip and the receipt I am to sign in her hand. I ask her if there are pens, look around, and walk the length of the counter to find a pen to sign the receipt, with while she continues to stand as described. I then go to the US post office and send the package for $90.35, insured for the full amount of the $1275 value. Compare this with the $122 quote the UPS Store first gave me for the same USPS delivery, without insurance (that the clerk said could not be added). Now it is sent. It will get there in 5-7 business days, as soon or faster than UPS or DHL ($500+ for their delivery). I understand being new and not knowing the ropes, but the attitude of the female clerk really cinched my disgust for the independent retailer "UPS Store" that is adding massive markup onto even US postal service rates. Just gross. Don't support these stores. Go to the gritty UPS dispatch locales- called "UPS Customer Care center.", or better, support our federal postal service. read more

This is a franchise. If there's a problem with anything done by the store, UPS will not help. I turned to this store after another pack/ship store here in Longmont actually failed to ship items dropped off with them for packing and shipping. The biggest problem with the UPS store is that I provided the right address for four important packages. Rather than enter the address properly for shipping labels, they used an old address already in the UPS system. The owner admitted that they received the right address from me, but was unwilling to offer any refund of the shipping expenses -- which, with packing, were about $350 -- because it was just a "mistake". Apparently I should be mollified by the fact that it was a "mistake"; they didn't do it on purpose. But I disagree in the strongest way possible that "fixing the mistake", i.e. getting UPS to pick up the boxes from the wrong address and deliver them to the right address, is an adequate response. The owner accused me of not caring about my packages at all, of just wanting money back. Nothing could be further from the truth. I had the items packed by what I thought was UPS (remember, it isn't) to ensure their safe delivery. And I paid a considerable amount for this. Beyond the incompetence demonstrated by shipping packages to an address other than what was provided by the customer, the biggest problem is the attitude of the owner. He thinks that fixing a mistake made by his store is as good as the mistake not having been made in the first place. That's not true. The owner is incapable of listening to customer frustration, interrupts, and does not follow through on what he says he'll do to fix a situation. But if this is how you'd like to have your packages shipped, by all means go ahead. read more

I have never had such disregards for customer service, I sent off an item to Texas to my family and it was never received. We have called to find out why and have been pushed off to other people as well as having this item insured and not receiving a courtesy call nor having that put back on to my card. How can a business of this stature not care about their customer base.. I want closure to this situation immediately!!! Is there a corporate customer hotline and or someone who would reach back out. I have called and it goes to a voicemail that is full... really another way of doing business.. 0 stars... I want my money back period... Erin at the UPS store is extremely rude! I went in Thursday to drop off a package & was told by another employee I would be able to track it at ups. Friday I could not track my package that way, it didn't come up so I called & talk to a guy he said I was the 2nd person to call & their store didn't put the tracking #'s in the system but would be done Friday night. Checked today, nothing I called USP talk to Erin & she was rude & told me I need to check USPS I explained to her that her employees must not know that information because that is not what I was told. Service is pretty darn good even during Christmas. I take my Amazon returns here and so far every item I have sent has been accounted for. They will print Amazon labels if you get the scanning code from Amazon and even when Amazon only gave me a return label which they had to print, it was all free (Amazon return policy). I now have a printer so I can print the return label and package insert. They didn't hassle me about having to print labels though. That takes more time when there are others waiting but they treat you with patience. I wish they had WIFi though because I've had to go home several times to access the proper return pages on Amazon. If they had WIFi, it would have been done immediately. Actually, I don't understand why they don't have WIFi because it seems that they should. Packaging supplies are available at an increased price but convenience rules. Parking is never a problem, not even at Christmas. read more

Let me start by saying everyone is entitled to make a profit, but no one likes to be scammed. I have been shipping the same equipment to the same address for 3 years at the UPS distribution center and its always the same price 19.00. I recently stopped by the UPS store as it was 9 AM and the dist center doesn't open till 11:00 AM. The gentleman said that will be 54.00! I mentioned that seemed high and he shrugged and said Florida was a long way away. When i returned home l looked at the receipt and he insured for 1,000.00 when i declared the value as 500.00. I called and asked why he insured it for 1,000 when i stated the equipment was worth 500 and he said 1,000 didn't cost much more ! @#&! Stay far far away......... read more

I use this store a minimum of two or three times a month. Everyone is so friendly and have always been very helpful to me. One employee even helped me bring in packages from my car! Plus, there is a notary. What more could I ask for! Nothing! read more

This is the second time the store has let me down. First time I came here to get a notary and I was informed they don't have a notary even though it was within the hours that they had told me that they normally do have a notary. The second time I wanted to make a deposit to my USAA account and they informed me that this location does not do that even though most UPS stores do. I am so thankful that I am moving away from Longmont and it's plethora of subpar restaurants and businesses in less than a month. read more

0 STARS!!! I am so disappointed with this store! I went in to pick up a package that ups delivered to this store for pickup. There was only one employee in the store at 4:50 in the afternoon. She was completely overwhelmed with all the people that came in behind me. I explained that ups had already told me it was delivered and signed for that day by her ups store. She said she didn't know where it was after making a call to ups to verify what I had told her. There were packages stacked all around in disorder! She just didn't want to take the time to look for the package and make the other customers wait. She eventually told me there is no manager available and that they would call me when they find the package. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I run a business so I dont have time to search down packages. That's what I pay them for! I was late for the next appointment due to this issue. I had a not-so-great experience at this location a few years ago, but over the past 6 months I've become an avid online shopper who is evidently too picky and ends up returning more than half of what he buys. This UPS store has been the most convenient option for making the returns, and this time around I've encountered nothing but positive experiences. I usually interact with Olivia, who is always very accommodating and sweet. Given my work schedules, a lot of times I have to show up 5 minutes before they close, with a ton of packages, and Olivia is always accommodating and friendly, regardless. I also like that they take the USPS packages for pick-up, too, as I don't care for going to the post office. Recommended! read more

The service here is terrible. I usually go to the Superior, Colorado location but came to this location as I was out this way. I won't make that choice again. The woman was rude and not at all helpful. I ended up taking my packages to the Superior location where I knew they would treat me and my packages better. Also- with 12 days before Christmas they could not guarantee Christmas arrival unless I spent 22$ to mail a small padded envelope that contained a CD. The Superior location took care of me with pre-Christmas delivery for 1/2 of what the Longmont location quoted me. She was also very rude to a caller while I was there. I called to ask about a package the lady I spoke to answered as if I ruined her day for calling she then proceeded to cut me off in the middle of speaking. I got the number I needed from her but even when I called the employee who answered that line was just as rude. Ups definitely sucks compared to a lot of other places. read more

We purchased a box from them and paid them to pack a larger piece of art. The box they sold us was 3" wider and 2" longer than the dimension they quoted us on the phone and the dimensions written on the box so when we took it to be shipped we were charged $90 more than we thought it would be. Additionally, when the box arrived, the glass was cracked on the art. When I called the store to let them know the box was marked incorrectly they told me it was my fault for not measuring the box and were rude. Additionally, when I told them that the art was damaged they told me not their problem and take it up with UPS. A very bad experience, bad product, bad packing, bad attitude. Do not go here! They do a bad job and are completely unwilling to take responsibility for it! Next time we'll use the packaging shop near Hover and Ken Pratt. read more

They charge more than what the online UPS calculator said. I even overestimated the weigh on ups.com, but they were charging $21 where ups.com said $15. We went over all the options, but they couldn't explain. Went across the street to Post Office where it was $10 for equivalent shipping and insurance. read more

I took my vacuum to this UPS store to be shipped back to the Dyson repair center. I explained that this needed to be packaged and shipped. The young lady took it and assured me that it would be packaged and shipped and gave me a shipping receipt. Over a week and a half later, I received notification that my vacuum had finally arrived at the repair shop (35 miles away). I contacted the UPS store asking why it had taken so long. The young lady (owners daughter) replied that they had waited a week to get packing peanuts for the box! So....for a week, my vacuum had sat in their dusty shop, getting bumped and jostled waiting for PACKING PEANUTS! For goodness sake! They are a UPS center that sells packing supplies! I asked why I was not notified that there was this issue, and they claimed that they didn't know my phone number. They had my email and even my mailing address. They could have sent me notice via snail mail and it would have been quicker. When I called to ask about it, the owner didn't even have the curtesy to respond, instead making her sadly incompetent daughter call me back. When I politely told the young lady that I was disappointed and would have a hard time recommending them in the future, she hung up on me! FedEx has just earned my business. read more

LITERALLY CHARGES 2-3 TIMES MORE THAN THE POST OFFICE!!! I asked this guy five times if he charged the same as the post office does and he assured me he did. When he told me his rates, I was shocked and left and took my packages and went to the post office. I was totally right!! He wanted to charge me almost three times the amount that the post office charged me. One item that he wanted $60 for cost me only $14 at the post office!! I sell items on ebay often and, having sold multiples of the same item, had time to assess this business' quality. Through my experiences with this location I've had packages measured incorrectly by the site as larger (I know this because I measured them previously for using the online price calculator at their website). I couldn't convince them otherwise (they said an extra inch here or there didn't effect shipping price) and paid about $10 more per package than I was anticipating from the calculator (which again "wasn't effected by the overmeasuring"). I once tried to discuss using a lower priority shipping method in order to drop the impressively high shipping cost on a package. They told me that to lower the priority of my package, thus delaying it's delivery to its destination, it would add $5 onto the cost of shipping. That doesn't seem right, logical or fair, but they had no good answer for why it works that way for them. After I started going to the USPS across the street I noticed that I could PRIORITY ship the exact same item in a better box for less than half the cost and ship literally twice as far with some insurance included. I say literally as in literally, not figuratively. Say I ship an item to Missouri with UPS and ship the same item to South Carolina with USPS I would spend about half the amount on shipping to SC with USPS and it would get there two days sooner in a sturdier, better looking box. I even priority shipped a duplicate item INTERNATIONALLY at USPS for less than it cost me to send the same item 600 miles UPS Ground. In the end, I feel cheated by UPS for having used this location.
