I've been here before and had a negative experience, but I didn't say anything at the time because I assumed the bald employee might have just been having a bad day. I came by to return curtains. No other customers in store; the bald man tells me you can use the kiosk. My items were too large to fit in the clear bag so I went back up. He said they fit you can do it. So I go back and again as assumed my items are too big to fit. So I grab a label sticker to seal my bag. He then comes up to me and says "don't touch my machine from there because you'll break it. You don't need to seal it that way." I then let him know they didn't fit. He then stated " yes they do I do this all day, I would know." I let it go and left. Didn't continue the the back and forth he was looking for. He was very rude, condescending, and clearly unhappy in his job. He seemed irritated by every customer who walked in. Today, I returned and had a similar experience. The employee (woman with un groomed hair that threw it into a hair-clip) assisting customers was also unfriendly and didn't greet a single person walking in. When she saw the line growing she blurted out, "We aren't taking Amazon returns you should have seen the sign on the door" and looked away. Overall, the staff here are consistently unwelcoming. They appear more interested in talking among themselves or being on their phones than helping customers. It really feels like they don't want to be there. I won't be coming back. I'd rather drive to a neighboring city than deal with this kind of service, even if it's just five minutes away. read more

It was a busy time which I understand (6 people all showed up at the same time). The big bald guy was sitting down helping a couple with what looked like notary services and the other shorter man was taking care of scanning packages. The first of us who showed had an Amazon return so the big bald guy looked up and told him to use the machine on the side. He didn't acknowledge anyone else in line. I was 4th in line and the first two people were Amazon returns. We were all in line behind them at the machine so I asked if I also needed to wait there for a happy mail return. He (the big bald guy) looked up annoyed and said no I have to see an associate and then I asked where do I get in line for that (signaling if I can get in to start a line for the associate. He answered with attitude "there's only one line" other people started to form a line outside of the store and asked if the line was for the self help machine or an associate. I replied mocking how the big bald guy answered "there's only one line" and he looked up as if angry and finally let us know to go inside to form the line so there could be two lines. He was really unprofessional in how he originally answered. He didn't give apologies. I'm upset with the customer service offered here. read more

UPS and the UPS store continue to lower the bar for customer service. I had a package that I had rerouted to this store that was time sensitive. The UPS tracking said that it had been delivered. I called this location to see if it had actually been delivered. The person who spoke to me on the phone was condescending and rude, and told me that they had no record of the tracking number I provided, and that it wouldn't be possible to pick up the package. When I explained my situation they said it wasn't their problem, and when I explained how ridiculous that was, they told me due to MY lack of understanding that they were going to hang up on me, then they did. Not my fault you have a job you hate and have to deal with customers, but hey, maybe find something else to do for work since you're so miserable and incompetent. This is the second time UPS has misplaced my package and told me it was my problem and refused to help. I will say I drove to the store at about 15 minutes before they closed because I really needed this package. And the young man that was there was helpful. All he did was LOOK at the packages in the store. Lo and behold, it was in the store...a miracle, can you believe it?! UPS is full of disgruntled employees that hate their jobs and probably their lives, and it shines through in the way they treat their customers. Customer service is non-existent to these people. But hey, how could you be expected to go in the back and check for a package? it is just your job after all How UPS still holds a major part of this market is beyond me. Use anybody before them. USPS, FedEx, DHL...anybody! They clearly cannot be trusted and they do not care. Worthless and I hope I don't have to deal with them ever again. read more

I went in to drop off two packages--one was for UPS, and one was for a different post office. I was trying to scan them both, but the second one wasn't working. As I moved my phone to try again, I accidentally tapped the machine when the employee was passing by. From the very first moment he spoke, he was extremely rude. He told me, for future reference, not to hit the machine, even though it was just a tiny tap--the machine didn't even move. When I explained that it wasn't scanning, he kept repeating, in a very rude tone, that I shouldn't be hitting the machine. Then, after he realized it was for a different location, which I hadn't noticed, he just kept being dismissive, saying, 'Well, we're not the post office, and you don't need to be hitting the machine.' I understand people have bad days, but he really didn't need to take it out on me. It was an honest mistake, and his tone was completely uncalled for. I won't be returning. read more

Great customer service at the UPS Store in Lathrop! Fast and easy Amazon and Happy Returns processing. They also offer notary services, and on certain days, they have an Amazon return kiosk for even quicker drop-offs. The staff is always friendly and helpful every time I go. Some people say they're rude, but honestly, if there's a long line and things aren't moving as fast as you'd like, try another option like Save Mart or Kohl's. This is the only UPS store in Lathrop, so naturally it gets busy. Just be patient--they're doing their best, and it shows. Great people and reliable service! read more

It was a very difficult and sad day for me and I was a lil overwhelmed. She came over and her customer service put me at ease and she also was so kind to take the time with me so that all was properly put into place and out going that day! Update: It turns out the issue might have been with the hub. That said, I still believe my concern in the original review about educating customers would go a long way in defusing situations like this. Simple communication, such as saying, "We get our shipments at 6 PM, and if your tracking doesn't update by then, it's likely you'll have to try again tomorrow," would make all the difference. Also, I'll be writing to UPS about reconsidering the "track my delivery" feature. While useful, it can be misleading and cause unnecessary frustration, especially when things don't go as expected. Original Review: I placed an order almost a month ago, and it was shipped within the last week. The first delivery attempt didn't work out because I wasn't home to sign for it, so it was sent back to the UPS hub--no problem. The next day, it was re-routed to this UPS store as I had requested. All good so far. However, today, things took a frustrating turn. The tracking showed my package was out for delivery to the UPS store. I used the "track the truck" feature, and when I saw the truck was nearby, I decided to head over. When I arrived at the store, the UPS truck was right there outside, so I politely asked the staff if they could check with the delivery person to see if my package was on the truck. Instead of any attempt to help, I was completely ignored. I was told over and over that if the tracking didn't say "delivered," my package wasn't there--without anyone even bothering to check with the driver, who was right outside the store! I wasn't given any information, no explanation, nothing. It was as if my request didn't matter. This isn't the first time I've had issues with this location, particularly with one employee that is consistently rude every time I go in. Look, I get it--if the driver is on break or still making deliveries, just tell me that. I'm not unreasonable. But to be brushed off and given zero effort or communication is unacceptable. The driver even slipped out the back while I was still trying to get some answers. The lack of basic customer service, combined with the unreliable delivery times, is beyond frustrating. All I'm asking for is some courtesy and honest communication. It really shouldn't be this hard. Staff should do a better job working with customers in explaining what's going on with packages they are having sent to the store. I know they don't know everything, but simple things like saying, "We get our shipments at 6 PM, and if you don't see your tracking update by then, most likely try again tomorrow," would make a world of difference. read more

This UPS store came through for us and we couldn't be more grateful. We missed a VERY IMPORTANT delivery that was scheduled from 11:45 am to 1:45 pm because apparently the sender didn't include the apartment number. Additionally, GPS always sends people to the back of the building...very confusing. We called this location in desperate need to ensure that we receive the package TODAY!!! We spoke to Mia who created a "case number" explaining our dire need to receive this package TODAY. We waited and waited and YESSSS we received our package by 6:00ish! I just wanna say this store is slow. Self service is the way to go. These guys really do bust their ass but when there's seven people in there hanging out at the door, everyone screaming at them for questions of this and that they can't do anything so they shut down and tunnel vision that's OK I get it. They're very slow sometimes and sometimes they don't answer you or even look at you but I get it. This is my go-to to pick up packages. This can be a hit and miss sometimes. You never know what day will be busy. I find that stopping by during the work week tends to be busy after 4pm. I stopped by on Friday afternoon to pick up a package. Upon an arrival there was a wait out the door. Then I had another package to pickup on the weekend. Between 1pm-2pm, there was no line at all. I think maybe the weekends are better. Overall, this place has good customer service. read more

The two women today need to be fired. Upon walking in the one with a mask on was being rude to a customer. One with braids said she could help me. She had an attitude with me from the start. There was an issue with one of the Amazon scans. It said UPS and she said it showed Kohl's. Started going off as if I was causing an issue. All I said was I didn't know why as they were both picked for UPS. Not a big deal as I could easily fix it. The only reason why I questioned it was because the scan clearly showed UPS. She was already pushing me out without listening to me and going on about how they don't control it. Asked me to step aside while I sorted it out but it wasn't in a polite way. I redid the information and for what ever reason she had to go off asking if it was the correct item and they are not responsible for Amazon returns. I quickly tell her it's correct as I had already confirmed that with the other item. Plus I want out of that place. She continued on with her rude behavior despite never receiving any type of negative response from me. Barely had a chance to talk. While I was looking up the information she helped someone else minus the attitude. Same with the other lady helping a couple and not being rude. I worked in customer service. I never blame CS for company policies and not once was I asking about them or questioning anything other than the scan. My husband was with me, he said their attitudes and overall demeanor was very disrespectful. He's usually not one to say anything unless people are very rude. UPS needs to check these employees. It's not the first time I've been in that store and had issues. Won't be coming by anymore for the customer mistreatment. No need for management to reach out unless you plan to replace your employees with individuals that are better at customer service. Added this then took it away but it was obvious these two have issues with people of certain skin color. That's the only difference between their behavior was customer skin tone. read more

I'm writing a review about UPS hub canter in Lathrop but they don't list the address so this is the closest UPS location that I can review. I have a package that's late from Temu. It was delivered to UPS possession on the 12th it arrived in the Lathrop location this morning at 5:15 am , so I figured I'd just go pick it up since it's like 3 miles from my house in Manteca and they say estimated delivery wouldn't be until Tuesday evening , I called UPS to arrange the pick up and ran into a slough of undertrained, unknowledgeable idiots that are telling me I can't pick up my package , that I payed for, that is already late, instead of sits in a warehouse for almost 4 days until Tuesday evening when they feel like delivering it to my house , I asked the manager to please listen to what she was telling me , and let me know if it makes any sense whatsoever , in any language because I could barely understand a word she was saying . That I could not go pick up.my package that they have already been in possession of for more than 24 hours , and it was going to sit in a warehouse for another 3 days plus some until they can deliver it Tuesday night . I live 3 miles from this location , yet she continues to give me excuse after excuse why my package is not eligible for pick up . No customer service and I had to sit on hold for a total of 28 minutes to get to speak to the first live person they had available . U P S has gone doooo far down hill it's amazing . The USPS can deliver parcels days ahead of them now . Why would anyone EVER use UPS ever again . Well one sure thing is I'm not going to use their subpar service again and I recommend you don't either if you want to receive the package you paid for in a timely manner They'd rather give excuses than give you the package you paid to have brought to you . FOLLOW UP AFTER MANAGEMENT RESPONSE: I do appreciate the management acknowledging that the employees did not following the policy. The store policy that was spelled out to me was they were open until 6:30PM. There were no details beyond that provided. The fact that this incident has allowed to owners realize that additional training of the customer service employees is needed, is a great sign. I am happy the footage was also want to clarify that the store employee's attitude was anything but "customer service". As I requested guidance from the store employees on ANY way to be able to drop off the package. purchase & print my own label, the staff was dismissive and showed no willingness to help. The staff was Dismissive and did not make any attempt to help me find a resolution. Rather the employee was rude, turning her back to mr and very dismissive. The front desk working on Saturday doesn't have good costumer service. He showed me the self scanner but I did but he talked to me as if I was working with him. No customer service at all. I usually have a good experience here when i come on the weekend with my very friendly and helpful little guy but yesterday was not a very good experience. Granted i came after 6pm they was counting the money. As soon as i got in I was ask if it was a return from Shein not hello how are you today or welcome in but instead you will be charge $2 because you don't have the bag tape up which Shein never told me it has to be but i was like ok since I was already there and did not drive my car where I always kee packaging tape. To make it worst I was "TOLD" I can only use charge because they are counting the drawer. And I have to wait because he can't ring it up while the drawer was open i guess. You close at 6:30 not 6:10. Due to covid it's very reasonable that only a limited number of people should be allowed inside, if you need customers to wait outside the right way to ask would be politely. Right? Well the lady up front straight yelled at us with her big ole eyes saying "YOU GUYS NEED TO WAIT OUTSIDE" and stared at me (with the big eyes once again) while helping another customer. When the other worker allowed me inside I wasn't aware that only I could come in and not my partner, so she resumed yelling "SIR I'M GOING TO HAVE YOU WAIT OUTSIDE". How about a "sorry, only one of you are allowed inside"? Either that or a paper saying the capacity on the door to avoid any poor customers from getting yelled at by her. He provided very bad customer service, and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. I went in to ship an Amazon box out. There was one customer packaging his box at a table and there were two workers at the counter. One guy worker, was scrolling through his phone and the girl was just looking at the computer. As I stood there for a few minutes I was not acknowledged until the guy at the counter said "you can use the computer there to ship your box yourself " he just pointed at the kiosk which I've never used or even knew was available. Then he began to help the customer that was packing his box. I walked over to the kiosk and I asked the guy worker for help. He told me to just scan my phone. As I begin to scan my phone another customer walked in and the girl worker asked if he needed help. (Like why was I ignored and this guy was greeted) I am very upset at the customer service experience I had. I'm so upset that I was ignored and just sent to a kiosk to do my own packaging.
