We had to ship some things back to the mainland and they were helpful and super nice. I don't know what people are expecting from the UPS Store - but I have no complaints at all. In fact. The opposite. Also, for people who don't understand how Amazon works. They probably make virtually nothing on these returns. If you show up and need tape, a box, or ask them to print something for you, it costs them money. This stuff adds up especially when 100's of people show up and only need 3" of tape - or need to just print one thing. Show up with a good attitude, be prepared and be willing to pay for things that cost them money and you'll be happy as a clam. If you show up (like ALL 3 people ahead of me did that needed this, they needed that, they needed their label printed, their box taped, etc) and expecting them to do it for free with an attitude - well...- Was the lady at the counter slightly annoyed -- maybe -- not as annoyed as I was watching everyone show up unprepared. My printer wasn't working, so I went to the UPS store to print 12 pages of a color document. Then I had to print 1 page on b/w printer. When I finish doing that, I put them in a second day air envelope, and when the bill came, it was $72.24!!!! $3.00 to use a Terminal for less than five minutes $3.00 for one black and white page $16.56 for color copies $49.60 to 2nd day air - 13 pieces of paper! Employees are nice and helpful but the prices are SOOOO HIGH It would've been less expensive to go to the post office and do Express mail. As a warning, ask what it's going to cost before you actually do your print or mailing job. I almost blew a gasket!! read more

Came by on a Friday Morning, stressed about the fact that I was pressured to purchasing a time share, which I realized it was not a good financial decision on my end. Shelly, the associate who assisted me with my tasks necessary to cancel my timeshare. Again, timeshare products only give a 7 day window for cancellation. The UPS store provides multiple office services needs. I made a copy of my cancellation document. I was able to fax the cancellation document. & i was able to purchase a 2 business day delivery of the document, helped by Shelly. (Although 2 business day delivery is $50+, it beats 10 years of monthly payments, totaling 28k for a timeshare) With a positive attitude by Shelly, I was able to process my cancellation. Thank you Shelly and keep up the positive vibes. Mahalo! TIPS: come in early. I was the first to enter the store, barely opening. Once my services were being done, 3 people started waiting in line. From heavy bookcases to pens he has delivered everything with a smile, learned not only our names but our dog's names in the first few deliveries, and carries dog biscuits for everyone's pups :) He is always extremely friendly and happy even though he is doing everything professionally at 100 mph, and he always gives us a wave when we see him on the road. All our neighbours greet him by name and we all agree Dave is amazing and we couldn't function without him. I always come to this UPS store. The reason is because I always get great customer service. They also offer notarizing service from 10 am - 3 pm. It's helpful to call before you go just to make sure you're able to notarize. Jody is super friendly and the rest of the crew is pleasant as well. I'm glad there are a few convenient UPS stores on Maui. Sometimes when I'm working on the neighbor island, I have to bring a lot of gear & parts with me, and I find it a pain to lug back all the stuff to Oahu, especially when I have to return a part. This is where the "UPS Store" comes into play..........besides the UPS location by Costco in Kahului, there is a UPS store in Kihei, and another UPS store in Lahaina. As I finished up a job in Lahaina last week, I ended up just re-boxing the broken part, then I headed down the road to the UPS store so I could ship back the broken part to the mainland. I find this very helpful to me, as it reduces the load I have to carry back to Oahu. The service at this store was fast & friendly. No complaints here! Thank goodness for UPS! read more

Ok place, the lady wasn't super friendly and welcoming nor was she thankful that I updated the hours for the store on Yelp. Hard to find thankful happy people sometimes. It takes time to post and take a picture. I did it to pay it forward for others because I drove down there at 5:30 the day before. Yelp said the store was open until 6pm and I had to drive back over there the next day once I saw it's only open until 5pm. I love Yelp, most owners realize its a viable app for the public. Most unhelpful counter people on a consistent basis.Rude,abrupt and just look like they hate to be there.If you are returning anything from Amazon don't expect them to help you,they won't type in a return number and any scan,no matter the size,they want it on the Amazon App or they don't want to take it.We took packages there 3 times trying to get them to accept it,not once would they go out of their way for you.We took 4 returns to them,told they couldn't scan and wouldn't type the return code below the scan.......went into Kahului and guess what......they took them with no issue,typed the code in on one and scanned the others.Lahaina UPS store wants an App or it's to much for them to handle. Apparently having an Amazon link printed as a label is something totally separate from printing a label, but we made it past the confusion. Every single time I have gone in here to return my Amazon packages the woman is so unbelievably rude to me. I thought last time maybe she was just having a bad day so I smothered her with kindness and she was still rude. Today, I had a gift to return that someone emailed me the return label for. Sorry I didn't read it ahead of time but she asked me to please read out loud with her what the instructions said as though I couldn't read. I apparently was supposed to pack it first as this is something new Amazon is doing. How would I know? No greeting, no smile, just an inpatient attitude. I was the only customer in the store and she acted rushed and then reprimanded me for not downloading the app. After she finished with my transaction she turned her back and returned to (I guess the more important) of bubble wrapping an item. After underestimating the size of artwork -- artwork we thought would fit in a large travel suitcase -- we headed to the Lahaina UPS Store for assistance, where along with the artwork, Shelly helped us prepare six Maui coffee mugs. The package arrived earlier than predicted and I must confess the packing and wrapping of the artwork and mugs were truly exceptional, as in they went the extra mile to ensure that the items were securely protected.This was my first time using UPS to actually prepare items for shipment, but it certainly won't be my last. I recently had to ship several pieces of my art. I needed to have them packed and shipped from Maui to the mainland. When I arrived, I saw that there was a looong line of people waiting, wearing masks, being patient. The line moved pretty quickly and soon I was in the store and it was my turn. The person behind the counter (the owner/manager) was trying his best to take care of everyone and was very calm and focused. The next person behind me had only one piece to ship, so I suggested she go ahead of me. Then a couple came in, not waiting in line, and said they needed to be helped immediately and they had to go back out and wait their turn. The UPS store man began helping me and also helping people who were after me who just needed to drop off amazon returns etc. finally my turn was really happening. Then the couple in a hurry came back and asked to go ahead of me. Mr UPS said it was up to me. I said ok. They were trying to close on a house and needed to have papers notarized. And so he was able to help them and inch me along with my shipments. He stayed calm and friendly. People who were ready to be angry and impatient were calm and left with a smile. He took good care of me and got all my packages labeled and charged - and good care of everyone else. Today I began getting notices that the deliveries have arrived safely on the mainland. So I want to than him for being so calm and efficient. It could have been a very stressful situation and it was not. read more

Went to the UPS store today to return a package. Unfortunately my printer wasn't cooperating and the label wasn't up to par so I asked if I was able to print one there as I don't have access to a better printer until my return to work next week. The lady working, Heidi, was very rude. She rolled her eyes and gave me a big attitude about it "we can't print it from your phone you have to email it." I told her that was fine as the company had emailed the label to me. And then she snapped back "it can't be a forward, you need to make it a PDF and send it." "Not a problem, that's the file they sent me." I emailed her the label, she printed it, put it on my package and said "that's $1.12." I was surprised because I didn't realize I would have to pay since the last time the sticker label was printed at no charge. Now I get it, it's only $1.12, but I told her that I wished she would've told me prior to printing it because I thought $1.12 was a little steep for a piece of paper. She promptly informed me that "that's what every place charges for shipping", gave me my receipt, picked up my package and stormed to the back of the store. First of all, I didn't pay for the shipping- the company did because they sent the wrong item. Second of all, I paid $1 for a print service fee?? Some service! She was rude from the moment I walked in the door. Never smiled, rolled her eyes when I walked in because apparently having a third person to help was really cramping her work day. And third of all, any time sometime is different you should tell people ahead of time. I've worked various customer service jobs for 16+ years and there's a certain etiquette you follow. Robbery! We had a special bday in Hawaii and someone gifted an awkward but light 2-piece present that we decided to try to ship. We had one item packed in the original shipping box so it didn't need much besides tape. Another item required a box and some cushion packing material/tape, which we decided to buy at UPS. When we arrived at this store, the woman at the store essentially took the boxes and started packing them. She didn't tell us that there was a charge for her packing. I emphasized to her as she was bossily taking over that we didn't want ANY styrofoam peanuts. She moved the package to the back where we couldn't see and took 20 minutes packing this piece of unbreakable particle board. In the end she said each box would cost over $100 to ship to the mainland, so we told her that was outrageous and would check them on our flight. Then she said we still owed her for packing which came to $85!!! And that included 4 bags of peanuts at $15 each. Are you F..kidding me? Save yourself the money or hassle and ship through the post office or deal directly with an airline if you are flying. read more
