Customer service here is a joke. The oriental lady has major attitude every time I've gone in to return Amazon purchases. Today she gladly took all the people behind us in line (they weee not locals) and when I mentioned we were standing in line way before the people behind us came in she not only made excuses for not even acknowledging us in line & taking everyone behind us, she wouldn't stop going off about it. Her coworker Parker (also not a local) then chimed in and wouldn't stop until he told me to leave a review about their great customer service & I said I will once he gave me his name. I had to ask for it 3 times & then he finally quit his comments. When this location originally opened it was nice & helpful. Now, if rather drive to Hilo or Kona to get packages mailed out & Amazon returned. They clearly have something against Hawaiians & their entitled attitudes need to go! read more

I'm so happy that there was a UPS Store in Waimea town! Driving from Kailua-Kona to Honoka'a, then making my last stop in Waimea, upon having lunch at the Parker Ranch Food Court, I noticed this UPS Store just a few doors down from the food court. Being that I had (5) boxes of broken parts I needed to send back state side, this UPS Store sure was a lifesaver! As I walked into the store I asked one of the clerks if I could borrow a hand truck, that way I could load up all my (5) boxes & bring it into the store one crack! I must say the staff here was friendly, and more than accommodating. The service here was efficient, as the clerk processed my (5) boxes quickly. One of my boxes wasn't packed up yet, as I ran out of shipping tape, but the nice thing about coming to this UPS Store is that they sold shipping supplies. I purchased a small roll of shipping tape, and I gotta say it was sorta pricey, but the convenience factor reflects the price you pay here. If I'm working in Waimea again, it's nice to know that there's a UPS Store here, that way it saves me a trip from having to go down to Kailua-Kona, or to Pahoa town. read more

I wanted to express my frustration with the service I received today, June 30, 2025, around 12:15 PM at the Kamuela office. The male associate wearing glasses refused to accept my Amazon return because the three boxes weren't taped together, even though there was only one QR code for the return. I explained that I didn't have tape with me, and I was on my lunch break. Instead of offering a solution or showing understanding, I was told I needed to come back after taping them together myself. I now have to drive 45 minutes back home just to tape the boxes--this is extremely inconvenient and frustrating. This experience felt very unprofessional and lacked basic customer service. I hope steps are taken to ensure customers are treated with more empathy and provided with simple solutions, especially when they're following Amazon's return instructions. read more

Based on the negative reviews regarding customer service, I was hesitant to visit this store. I humbly ate crow. Upon entering I was greeted warmly by the presumed woman people are reviewing. She was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I have taken several Amazon drops off to the store and have left feeling like a valued customer. I do not understand what the problem have been with these other folks. My point is do not be like me and base whether or not to visit a store off of unknown randos (typo intended) on the internet, I was a t the store today and left with a cute hot pink ID roller thingeramajig. i I left feeling good and wanted to come here to stand up for the workers there. This store has always provided outstanding service when I've visited the Big Island. It's time I left the review they deserve! Lani helped us with bags and bags of stuff that we couldn't stuff into our luggage. She was friendly and efficient, and figured out the best and most cost effective way to pack all that stuff. We received the box in just a couple of days. She had packed everything in a way that protected the breakables yet did not waste space. Store is never really busy and parking is very easy. Great options for mailing, shipping and they take larger items that the Post office doesnt take. Besides shipping stuff, they offer PO Boxes, notary services and personalization of photos as well as act like a small Office depot with pens, paper and other stationary items. Angie is always really helpful and quick. Whenever Im here, i never try to spend a lot of time here and this location is very efficient. Not that I dont enjoy the location as it is clean, but when I am shipping something I want it to take as little time as possible and thats exactly what this location accomplishes for me and my family! Also if you need a quick card for birthday or anniversary or really anything they have a great assortment. Doesnt get any better for a location! read more

I needed some documents notarized, so I called and was told it would be $5 each - sounds very reasonable. Long story short, I got charged an extra $40 for "clerical fee". I'm not sure what that is, but I'm guessing from all of the grumbling from Kari, that she didn't like having to look through a long pdf to find the notary pages. And thats after I offered the list of page numbers where she could find the notary pages. However, before I could read the list of five page numbers to her, she interrupted and tried to explain to me that she needs to scroll through the pdf herself to find the beginning of each document and that it should all be printed. She continued to complain about why it was complicated to look through the documents in a pdf. I again offered her the list of page numbers where she could find the notary pages and then simply page up to find the beginning of each document in the pdf. She again went into "explaining" mode as if I didn't understand. I tried to tell her that I was just trying to help with a suggestion for how she could easily find what she was looking for (that being the notary page numbers and then the beginning of each associated document) and then print the five pages that we needed to notarize. Oh, and to "receive" your email with a pdf will cost you $2.50. So in the end to get 5 pages from a pdf notarized will cost you $71.32. I guess if you are visiting and need something notarized at leasts its possible (+1 star), but you will pay for it (-2 stars) and might have a no-Aloha experience with Kari (-1 star) complaining about your documents if you bring in a pdf. It looks like the entire pdf could have been printed for about $8. It would have been nice if that could have been suggested instead of the "no-Aloha I'll just complain and then charge you an extra $40 at the end approach". read more

Never know how busy a place may be, but no matter how busy I feel I always get the friendly attention and the job completion I need. Copies, notary and other services. Packing and shipping, notecards and some office supplies and packing supplies. Mailboxes too. They do their best to make it as easy and efficient as possible. Good friendly service, as they take care of business.Im an artist and needed some special attention with enlarging images making some color prints of my work. I needed to send a package. I packed it, I printed the label, and I closed close the box and attached the label! Precisely what is required by UPS! I went to drop off, and the guy behind the counter said that I needed to tell him what is in the pack! He advised me that if I didn't answer in the manner he wanted, he cut the open box to view the contents​ and He did just that Also he announced​ to the whole store that I had packed an iPhone X worth (BTW worth $800+). I love this place! OMG, did you know you can copy keys here too? I just found out. Great service, attentive staff, can get all of my shipping done here as well as all of my copy needs and they have a notary too! Other printing jobs like business cards and name tags are also a breeze. They sell office supplies and all shipping and packing items. AVOID, AVOID AVOID. I went for a couple of passport photos. I should have asked before I ordered. They gave me 3 photos for $15. All the State Dept needs is 2. UPS ends up ripping off their customers for $5--costs them a few pennies to print an extra photo--by "giving" them an un-needed photo. Go to Paniolo Express across the street. I recently printed and mailed postcards to hundreds of people in the Waimea area through the UPS store in Waimea. As usual, I was doing this last minute. The UPS stsore employees gave me lots of attention and rushed to make sure my postcards were ready. The postcards looked great and were delivered on-time. I recommend using the UPS store in Waimea for business needs, such as making business cards, marketing materials and any other products small businesses can benefit from. This UPS Store in Waimea is the best customer service experience that we have had in any establishment anywhere in Hawaii, and given Hawaii's level of hospitality and "Aloha," that is saying a lot. Going there makes me think of "Cheers... where everybody knows your name." And it's been that way from the beginning. The store is clean and beautiful, the location is perfect, and the staff is absolutely outstanding. I have lived lots of places, in the U.S. and abroad... I have never had a better experience. Kari Waldhaus has done a wonderful job finding, hiring, and apparently motivating her folks. And I didn't know anybody there, including Kari, before we moved here. Now they're our friends. Had a great experience here yesterday! The USPS closes at NOON on Saturdays; I had two large priority boxes ready to ship home without a shipping label. I called 4 different shipping places that I knew of which were all in Kona side and I was on my way to the Volcanoes. I called the UPS shop told them the current situation they said no problem Ma'am just come on down and we will take care of it for you, we do charge an additional dollar for USPS. I said okay see you in a few and drove my jeep across the street to get everything processed. Total weight was a few ounces short of 30 lbs; I did not want to purchase extra luggage nor be hit with a second check in bag fee. read more

The "older lady" greeted me with a " we're all busy so you'll just have to wait" when I indicated that I simply needed to drop off my two boxes. I said I didn't need a receipt or anything and she said, "we prefer to give you one". I confirmed I did not need one. If looks could kill, I'd be dead!!! It was embarrassing! We had two documents to notarize. The people in front of us had many documents to notarize. The notary was extremely slow and rude. Then, after 30 minutes the notary decided to handle many copy and scan jobs for the same people rather than delegate those projects to others and handle our small notary job. Then, to add insult to injury, the notary handled a banner project. We are still waiting after 40 minutes and this horrendous customer service experience does not appear to be near an end. The notary never apologized for our experience and then interrupted our small notary project because she forgot to obtain signatures from the first notary customer service. read more

Although it came with instructions, I had never done this before. a sweet employee named JENNIFER LAU helped me and walked through the steps with me very patiently even though she had never done it before either. If I had the option to do zero stars- I would. I had a rush print job and interacted with both a male and female working in store. After attempting to print and to make a very long story short - the equipment was malfunctioning over and over, the male employee tried to be helpful while the female was rude, condescending and very impatient. I was being blamed for the technical issues. The woman was losing her patience and talking down to me in front of her customers about what I needed to do to remedy my bill. I held my composure as I was getting very frustrated with her attitude. I had to remind her that this was not my fault and she was having technical difficulties. Mind you this is after several jams, the computer not responding to cancel jobs, etc. it was a simple print job that this type of store should be able to fulfill. Copies are not cheap! After a wasted hour and a half and not able to print everything - I just wanted out. I had to ask her if I could pay for what I printed. She acted very put out and said I don't have to pay for my copies. Uggg I just wanted out! I thought she was some burnout employee but her name tag said Kari the owner! I will never go here again - use somewhere else! She has not the capacity or attitude that deserves business. NO ALOHA!
