Holy Packaging Batman! Just received a box of special salad dressing from a family member in Laguna, and let me tell you...it was packed like Fort Knox! She didn't want to package them herself...which I don't blame her, so requested that UPS take care of it. Omg! So many layers of bubble wrap, tape and more and more layers! It took me awhile to finally get to the bottles, but was worth every minute of it! The time and care the manager Greg R. and his team took to ensure these babies were going to be shipped and arrive in excellent condition was over-the-top! I've ordered this dressing from Amazon in the past, but the packaging didn't even come close and some bottles even arrived a little leaky. Today 3/30/26 I dropped off two packages to be shipped for my cousins. Alan was the one who greeted me and helped me all the way through. I can't see well and I'm a perfectionist who wants to make sure everything is right and perfect and Alan had no complaints or rushed me as I pulled out my hone to double check that the address I was shipping to was correct. He let me know when the package would arrive and even highlighted my tracking number. He is a very wonderful employee and person and I hope that the UPS company knows how great he is while giving fantastic customer service. THE WORST!!!!! I've been taking my business here forever and the customer service just gets worse and worse. I needed help getting something printed and they couldn't have been ruder! Ethan (a real ass) barked at me "we don't help customers with this. We're too busy!" Meanwhile, there is literally no one in the store with 3 employees there. It would have taken about 3 minutes to help me and instead I felt like they were doing me a favor. If this is the service you provide, get out of Laguna Beach and go to Irvine. I have been to this UPS store three times. Every time I get quick friendly service. In the past I went to the post office to mail out packages. I found their flat rate boxes convenient and were the best I thought I could do. Now I use this UPS store exclusively. Although, my only use of their services are to mail personal packages out. They do a variety of other things including private post boxes. They also have holiday and special occasion cards as well as postal supplies but no boxes for shipping out. Atmosphere: 4.5 stars. The store is clean and neat. I recall a USPS post box outside for letter mail and such. Why the 4.5 stars. Parking is crowded in front of the store. I imagine a lot of people park in the parking lot of the grocery store nearby and walk over to do our business. Service: 5 stars. The staff is very professional, friendly, and quick. I was only mailing packages out but it was small to no line. After going here I kicked myself for not trying them out sooner. They beat the line at the post office. Quality: 5 stars. My packages arrived quickly (faster than USPS). Tracking numbers were great. They print the label for my packages. They keep my information so the next time I shipped a box to the same address it was smoothly processed. Value: 5 stars. The standard by which I compare is to USPS. The packages I sent cost me less in postage than mailing through USPS (their largest flat rate being about $24; I paid like $18 or so). Only difference is that I had to supply my own box. I believe they have the standard insurance that comes with any package of up to $40 or $50. The UPS store feels like one of those times when capitalism wins by empowering a private enterprise to do a better job for a lower price. Makes me feel lucky to live in a country where such places give us a choice and deliver a superior experience. read more

Excellent service thus far. I called in to see what mailbox prices are here. Gentleman was durect, thorough, straightforward and had excellent phone service skills (a rare SKILL in 2023) He also allows me to have my mail coming here for 6 entire days before I have time to come in and pay. That was incredibly kind. When I came into sign up it was easy and painless. Again, all the staff has excellent service skills. Attentive, eye contact, a sense of urgency and with a smile! It's like I died and woke up back in 1985! I love it!! I am going to keep the mailbox for years. It's so nice to know my packages won't be stolen and it's so much safer to not list where I live. I actually do delivery and am always shocked what people put in their online accounts like AMAZON! WOWS folks....tech companies don't do background checks....no clue how people don't know that but the amount of wealthy homes I deliver to that clearly are owned by complete idiots is astounding!!! Moved to Laguna Beach 9 years ago. Was told to use the UPS store as my mail box for my business and packages. Best decision I've made. Never a complaint. Always personable. I've been a regular here for 3 years now and they provide the best service! Also huge shoutout to the manager there. Yesterday i was in a huge rush and my printer shipping labels were not legible. The manager was so helpful and patient and was multitasking me while still helpful to other customers. I had tk leave bc i was in such a rush and he told me he'd take care of everything for me. I just left this store. While being waited on by a nice lady, the owner Terri, interrupted my transaction and started scolding me publicly without even knowing what I was trying to do. I was trying to purchase a return label. She said I was taking to long and that they needed to move the line along. Apparently she thought I was trying to find a label in my email when i was just searching for an address. Rude, rude, rude. Totally not true Mark!!! It was my second trip to the store. I went to my car to find what I was looking for. There was only ONE OTHER person in the store. HOW DARE you use a public health emergency to excuse her behavior. Shame on you!!! And one other thing Mark. Apparently you are the owner and not Terri. Or is she your wife. And if she did nothing wrong, why the "multiple apologies". I've thought about this and I don't take pleasure in generating negative reviews . They need to drop "The UPS store" title. They are not really a UPS store . Don't bring your shipment if you have a UPS corporate account. You will get an angry or pathetic"we don't handle corporate accounts" and then you ask " but this is UPS is t not? " Answer , "We are a franchise" we don't handle these. OK BUT it's the attitude and tone and delivery and hate you feel for walking in from these employees , specificities the old guy with the grey hair. . You will be lucky if they help you beyond that because they are the rude nasty types(not Greg)unless you are a cute female and have light drop off . Also, If you show them a UPS bar code for an amazon return to scan off your phone , You get a not so friendly and rude tone "that's not our code" .. OK Not that big of a deal if you know it's sometimes a high stress environment you are walking into. However , ITS THE SUM OF THE PARTS. I have a choice . I'm glad I have a Fed X account . To sum it up. Low quality of service and attitude overall. Well done and thank you. I continue to be shocked by the horrible service and attitude towards paying clients - now former clients. Attitude comes from the top down. Greg is great. After that I'd rather use a carrier pigeon than give UPS Laguna more business. If I had a client for 10 years and they moved so didnt need the box, I probably would give them their residual mail. Kiley at the cash register has the worst customer service! She clearly hates her job and lacks people skills. I came in to return multiple packages, all with prepaid return labels but 1. I asked if she had printing capability at the store, she said "yes, we can print for you" printed out my return barcode and then looked into pricing for shipping out the item. She told me the cheapest option was $12 (I had brought my own box in to the store to use for shipping) I then asked her if it would be cheaper to ship using an envelope, she said "yes" I grab an envelope which she told me was $2, I asked if there were cheaper envelope options, she said "yes, the white envelope" I then bring her the white envelope, give her the address where there item will be shipped and she proceeds to ring me up for the shipping and cost of the envelope- it comes out to $20. I was extremely confused, the cost to use my own FREE box would have been $12, so I ask how much the white envelope is (it was supposed to be cheaper than the previous $2 envelope I had chosen) this white envelope was $5! (The envelope shipping should have been less than the box shipping- since that is what Kiley said... right?) At this point I'm just furious- either this girl just DOES NOT KNOW SIMPLE MATH- or she clearly just hates her life so much that she's trying to make everyone else miserable as well. I just tell her, forget it! I'm not spending $20 to ship this small item back, I'll take it to the post office. She then proceeds to say, "well I'm going to just have to ring you up for the print then" - she was going to charge me $3 to print something in black and white- WHAT?? The barcode she offered to print for me, but never relayed that there would be a charge (which I would have never agreed to pay $3 to print a page, I would have come back at a later time with my page pre-printed!) This girl is the worst! When I confronted her and asked "why didn't you relay that there was a cost to print" - "why are you NOW charging me, when you weren't going to before, now that I've decided to ship this item from elsewhere" ... her response was that the volume in the store was loud?? SO CRAZY! DO NOT GO HERE! I'm not even upset about the prices they wanted to charge, I'm upset with the lack of informing their customers of what things cost, waiting till the end to tell you, even when the customer has been asking for the cheapest shipping options! And the fact that they tried to charge me for a print without disclosing that there would be a cost! STAT AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! EMPLOYEES working at this store STOLE my designer jacket that I had taken off when taping up my box. I called the store to confirm the jacket was still there and the worker confirmed it was there. I asked him to please put it in the back and when I arrived it was gone. This was after a rude employee named Craig working in the back quoted me $550 for a package which I ended up shipping with a third party for $250. Called ahead regarding notary services and was told available until close. When I arrive I was told a document could "not be notarized in the state of California". Given that it was close to closing time called nearby UPS store in Aliso Viejo and was told to come in to have form notarized. This is contradictory info from two adjacent stores (same county, same state etc). If UPS stores advertise notary services they need to have competent individuals providing said service. *update re: comment from owner...I myself researched the I-9 situation in store due to the fact that the employee was unable to explain to me why he was unable to notarize. What ultimately was more frustrating was his refusal to notarize a completely separate form related to the California state oath (absolutely not an immigration form and totally separate from the I-9). Ultimately my business went to a UPS store in Irvine where the state oath form was signed and notarized, color copies were made and I overnighted a package of documents...a $45 sale that was lost because of poor communication and customer service. read more

What do "They" say? You only get ONE first impression. First of all, the location and parking is horrible, but I needed to find a convenient UPS store near my home in Laguna Beach. I had letter (check) that I needed to send overnight. Joan helped me and was very courteous. It was sent out Friday morning and to arrive by 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning. It was a check to an account that I have in Iowa. It wasn't delivered till TUESDAY morning so the payment was late and I was charged fees for it. Shipping the "overnight" envelope was $76 too! When I spoke with Joan on that Monday knowing it hadn't arrived she said she would look into it. On my own, I contacted UPS directly and they were no help and passed it back to the UPS Store for an answer. Joan said she would turn it over to the manager and have him/her call me back. Over 2 weeks now and never heard from them. They should be help responsible for promises they can not keep. At least credit it in full to keep a happy customer or any kind of credit would have been nice. Some small business owners have no common sense on customer service. It's that simple. He was the only one there and very busy but was still able to help me get what I needed in time. I learned a lot after my experience at the store. I was sending a shoebox size box to the Midwest for my sister's birthday. It was Sat (Feb 21) and I decided to send it based on the clerk's certainty it would be there by Friday (Feb 27). After ringing it up, the total was higher than the quote. I looked down, read the receipt and he charged me $1.00 unknowingly and without asking for "tape". It took me back that he would just throw the charge in there. But, because it was only a dollar, I paid it. I was on my way then, but with a slightly bad taste in my mouth. The worst part of my experience was that the package did not make it by the time the clerk said it would. Sparing details, the package had to be returned to Laguna Beach store because it didn't make it in time. The store and the company were not willing to credit me anything even though it was their fault the package didn't arrive and needed to be returned. I finally received my sister's gift back March 6th. Overall, not a good experience. I can't say I'll never be back because it has a convenient location off PCH, but will not frequent the store. read more

I had to ship a vinyl record home and the employees went above and beyond to make sure the package arrived safely. They did not have media mailers, so they used a different size box, cut it down to fit, and added bubble packers to make sure that the vinyl would be safe. I'm amazed by the thought that went into the experience. My package arrived back home (in PA) in less than 48 hours and the vinyl is in perfect condition. Thank you! read more

I rarely write such an astounding review as I should like to extend to employee Greg and his supportive owner Terry. Greg is exemplary in his poise and courtesy. He delivers consistent high quality service to each and every interaction. I was in right before they closed this busy holiday season. I had much to do to prepare the multiple requests I had. Politely, they waited for me to finish, although their closing procedures were waiting. During that time, I witnessed as Greg cordially let a customer knocking know they were well closed. The customer abruptly pushed the packages into Greg's arms without word or thank you and left. Greg handled this so well. He is patient and kind and professional. Finally I finished my affairs and left but embarrassed for my inconsideration to their time. More than that, I messed up a delivery address. I called the next day in a flurry only for Greg to research and efficiently return my call assuring me it had been fixed in time and no penalty to me. I never take the time to write a Yelp review, especially a negative one, however I find it necessary to do so to warn other consumers regarding this UPS Store. This is the worse UPS store possible! They take advantage of people, especially senior citizens. They quoted USPS rather than UPS for a package because the claimed it was cheapest route. When we ran the rate for UPS after the package was shipped (though another UPS store), UPS came in at half the price. Additionally, they guaranteed 7-10 working days and it took 15 days because it was not scanned by the post office until 4 days after the drop off. When I called to speak to the manager/owner, he was rude and would not agree to take an ethical stand by refunding the difference. I am a business owner and I would never do business with someone who has no ethical standards. The UPS store in Aliso Viejo is great, it has wonderful people that are honest, do there!!!! read more
