I took a couple packages to be shipped. Adrain was the lady that waited on me. She is a freaking rockstar!! So friendly outgoing so helpful! So professional she waited on me with my two box packages, another lady checked her out at another register at the same time she's waiting me, then another couple came in she waited on them got taken care of while I am still signing for my packages on the checkout screen... Unbelievable fast service!! I couldn't believe how fast she rang me up, measured my packages in a split second, entered all my information addresses and everything had me in and out of there under five minutes. I have never seen such great attitude, professionalism, Customer Service, anywhere. I had a good experience here. I recently had to return something, but I didn't know the QR code process, so I called to ask some questions. I was provided with detailed information. The staff member on the phone was pleasant and very knowledgeable. When I dropped off the package, the process was very simple. I was in and out of there in about two minutes. If you don't know the answer to something that's relevant to your job, be proactive and say you don't know and that you'll check or find someone who does. I do not regularly use the UPS store but Amazon allows return now at the UPS Store. I thought Amazon using Kohls was slick. The UPS store is eaiser to get through than walking through a department store. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and greeted you upon arrival. read more

I agree with most of the reviews regarding overpricing since this UPS store is franchised owned. I swear i think they're ripping people off. Needed to send a letter package which the post office usually charges $4 for. This UPS store wanted over $22. I said no way I'm gonna pay over $22 to send some paperwork I will just go to the post office and walked out. I don't know where this store gets its pricing. Since the UPS website shows pricing way lower. This store i think does pricing on how you're dressed or something. You can't see the computer so you can verify the authenticity of their pricing. They will look at you multiple times while typing into the computer which i thought was weird unless they're trying to see who they can rip off and who they can't rip off. Gave up trying to send stuff via UPS because this is the only UPS store locally to me and it sucks. Try to ship something there. I placed an online print order yesterday for of 1pm pick up today. I called the store at 1:15pm to find out that my prepaid print job wasn't ready and according to the owner Ed it will be ready by end of the day. Ed called me at 2:15pm indicating the order was ready and to arrive by 4pm because the store closes at 4pm. I picked it up at 2:30pm and Ed just gave me my order. No apology or anything. I will not be using this store again. Lack of timeliness and professionalism. Had I not called to check on my order wouldn't have been printed at all. The UPS Store in Severn is the best place to ship packages. The staff is friendly and helpful. They provide you with different shipping options so you know the price differences. I would much rather go here than an actual UPS location due to it being so much closer to home. I also like to support smaller businesses. I rarely post reviews but I felt compelled to based on my experience at UPS stores. A few days ago, I came in to send a very expensive gift to Saudi Arabia and I must say I was a bit nervous. Reason being, the store was so busy but, the lines were moving. I was greeted by Maria when I reached the counter and I explained what I was shipping. She gave me all the necessary information and took the additional step of calling to confirm she had the right information while assisting in boxing everything up for me. I am highly disappointed with the customer service I received at this location . It's even more disheartening that the person that was rude was the assistance manger Michelle or Megan. I stood in line for 15minutes and when I got to the countered I was not greeted. She didn't even make eye contact. : She looked very annoyed and upset , I'm sure due to how busy the store was . I understood and let it go, then I told her I needed to ship three packages an she just stood there without saying a word. I continue to tell her I needed small boxes or envelopes, she pointed to the envelopes. I went over there and it was only one left . I asked her if they had more and again no respond just walk away with an attitude as if helping customers was not her job. Then she packaged the first one and told me the price , I asked her if she had flat rate shipping because I was only sending a card and a small jewelry box and why pay $12 when you can pay $6 . She stated only USPS does flat shipping . So I asked if I could canceled the order and I'll ship my packages on Monday . She look at me again with an attitude and insisted I pay for the two envelopes that she already sealed . I would never return to this location . I run a small business and I value amazing customer service at the post office . My fault for going to a different location . Today, since it is President's Day, the USPS was closed, so I figured I would give it another shot. I called to check their hours and the person on the phone acted like I was bothering them with that simple question. I went anyways with 6 packages going to 6 different addresses. In other words, I brought business. The lady acted like it was just a big hassle to the point I told her I'd rather wait to the post office opens tomorrow. This is my go to location whenever l have to send something off through UPS. I have used there service on numerous occasions. I have also had court documents noterized here and any other document that need to be noterized. At a very cheap rate. The staff here is very friendly. I usually drop by after work. They address you right away. Which i like l am a regular so my info is already in there system. They just ask for a phone number and if you have mailed packages off before. You will be in there system. I like that the staff is so informative. I remember once mailing back a Verizon box that i was returning and the clerk there told me to keep my receipt that they give you. Even if it's for years because they may claim that i never returned it. Boy was she right. I'm glad l listened to her. You will also receive an email when the package is received. I dropped off some items to be packaged and told them I was leaving on a trip and would pick them up in a few days when I returned. Upon my return I got a nasty voicemail message saying that if I didn't pickup my items immediately I would be charged ten dollars an hour for storage. I figured this was the work of a rogue employee and so when I went in and picked up the items, I asked to talk to her but the owner was there so I recounted the story. Forget the saying "nickled and dimed": these crooks just take your wallet. As a business owner, I want to have consistency when it comes to shipping prices Ups's website does this ; however, I'm always shell shocked when I approach the store's counter. Using the insurance from UPS requires their own boxing and packing which ultimately adds to the weight, size, and overall cost of the shipment (In my case, it was an extra 36 dollars). Additional boxing wasn't required or needed and was used to increase their revenue. I would avoid this location and since the same owner owns the other location across town - I would avoid that one too. read more

I have been coming to this store since before the most recent owner owned it, most the time there's long lines but the staff works fast and are always helpful. But lately their customer service has changed. Today I waited in a long line, I felt bad for the young lady she was breaking down the line faster then the guy. I am shocked at this store's business practice. I shipped a large, very important case of equipment to this UPS store before flying in from across the country, which I have done at countless other UPS stores around the US. They refused the shipment without bothering to contact the phone number or email address listed right on the label. I arrive onsite to find my package has been shipped return to sender; glad I found out after a six hour flight to get here. They made no apologies for the colossal waste of money and time and said I was on my own. I can't wait to call UPS directly to report how big an issue this caused. Normally I get a phone call that the box has arrived followed with a $5 holding fee along with a time limit before they ship it back. This is why franchisees fail, no continuity between locations. I stopped in because I was planning to use them when my Etsy shop opened. I was looking for boxes to fit my items. I had to interrupt the two women working there to ask if they had a box size/price list. They did not. A display against a wall is what I was told they had. Not useful at all. I asked about an online list and I was told the franchises didn't carry everything offered online. Soooooo...a printed list would have been helpful.
