I only come to this location because it's close by. The lines are always long, customer service is very hit or miss, and why do they try to get you to do the self-service for returning Amazon packages?!! And they never ever answer the phone. To top it off, I can't submit prints via web for pickup. So they need to just remove "printing services" from their site. Now, if they'd answer the phone, I could ask for the email to send said print documents to, but they won't! Do better. Provide better service. read more

Today, I had an Amazon return that was in an awkward, heavy-ish box, and Sariyu not only volunteered to pull it out of the backseat but carried it in herself with no problem! I was at the store today because I needed to get a document notarized. We walked in, without an appointment with the notary, but were still able to get help and only had to wait for one person in front of us. The store, in general, was quite busy but the staff was very responsive and welcomed everyone as they walked in. The notary was friendly and helpful and the service itself was very affordable. I know some UPS stores require that you make an appointment because the notary is not always there. I did call to ensure that someone would be there when we stopped by although we were not certain as to what time that would be. So make sure you call ahead if you are looking to get something notarized. Overall, it was a great experience and the store has a lot to offer besides just the notary. read more

I have used this store numerous times. My husband picks up a package that was routed to this store and this sign (looks like it was written by a fifth grader) was on it. I love this UPS store. We have our packages delivered here to prevent from porch side theft. Not that l don't trust my neighbors but sometimes visitors come from different areas and scope the neighborhood out to see what packages they can steal. It's nothing worse than paying for something you want and someone stealing it before you can get to it. We also have a mailbox there as well. I never ever have to worry about receiving a package so it's a good investment in my book. The staff is always very friendly and they have a notary there as well. read more

We've been loyal customers for at least five years. The previous owner, Tom retired and sold the store earlier in the year. Unfortunately, ALL of the previous staff resigned as well due to new management. What was once a pleasant part of our day is now a nightmare. We were known by name and box number, always greeted with a smile, and helped efficiently. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. While I understand the growing pains of a new staff, the lack of basic customer service and concern customers is appalling! The store is disorganized and the staff is unbothered with no sense of urgency. Package deliveries are not checked in in a timely manner, so they are searching piles of boxes for a delivery that arrived hours ago. No one knows what they are doing and don't seem to care enough to learn. On my most recent visit, I was the only customer, yet I stood there for nearly 20 minutes just to pick up four packages. Only three of them had been checked in. I spotted the one that had not in the pile. Then waited and waited while they searched for my fourth package. Instead of accepting responsibility for the disarray, one of the staff suggested that it had already been picked up. It had not. While I waited, I asked several staff members, including the new owner, not to stand so close to me while talking since they were not wearing masks. They repeatedly disregarded this request. Furthermore, the new owner is rude and clearly doesn't value longtime customers. I understand why the previous staff left as well. After finally locating my package, I gathered my things to leave and noticed my package notification slips still on the counter. I picked them up to take home and shred since they have my full name and box number on them. The owner rushed from behind the counter, snatched them away from me, saying, "I don't want you coming back claiming you didn't get your packages," as she ripped up the slips! Wow! The audacity! Furthermore, I had signed for them at the register. At this point, I reminded her that we were longtime customers along with a few choice words. TLDR: Take your business elsewhere. This location is under new management. Customers are no longer valued or provided basic, timely customer service. There are two other UPS Stores nearby. I'll be checking those out as options for my mail services. read more

I wanted to take the time to recognize TC & Valeria for their exceptional customer service at the Hanover, MD UPS store. I visited the store on 11/18/22 with an extremely large perishable food shipment. Valeria was very welcoming and accommodating in greeting and assisting me. As it appears that she was still in training, TC assisted in ensuring that all the available shipping options were explained/explored. TC even went above & beyond in explaining that his last shipments for the day were getting ready to go out on the truck and worked expeditiously to ensure my packet was included with that shipment. My brother received his food shipment on 11/19/22 as a result of both of these employee's outstanding customer service. Although I frequently use this store I'm disappointed in the service I received today. Instead of the cashier asking could she help me with the Amazon return process, she proceeded to say next and help the privilege. When I did get to the screen needed it took her all but 2 seconds smh. I see why they have a 3 star rating smh. read more

I rarely write reviews, and I usually try to remain positive, but...  This place deserves one.  If you looking for efficiency and great customer service, Look elsewhere. Since the change of owners, the quality and speed of service went way down.  Most of the time when I get packages, I have to inform the staff that a package was delivered.  Then it takes the staff time to find the package because the package has been sitting waiting to be processed. If I knew the new owners and staff would perform like this I would've changed to a different location. After 5 years of having a box, I didn't renew this year. My final interaction with this team...Had a amazon package delivered in error and they charged me a $10 holding fee. Crazy!!! Amazon refunded me the $10 after I explained they delivered to the wrong place but it shouldn't have had to get to that point. I'm done. read more

I've used this location many times with success, both paying their higher shipping rate, and using my own UPS account and just dropping the package(s) off; in these instances, they accept the packages without question. I will attest to the higher rates that other Yelpers have mentioned, when using their shipping service, as opposed to your own account, and as well reiterating that this is (they all are?) a franchise and not a real UPS corporate entity, despite what the signage would have you to believe. Take this in contrast to cellular stores that fly the AT&T or Verizon logos, but say underneath something to the effect that they are "an authorized retailer." Where the issues come into play, are when you want to ship something using your own shipping account, that is greater than (if I recall correctly) $1k; They simply won't take it, citing liability, yada-yada-yada, ending up in a wasted trip to their location and having to go out of the way to the UPS shipping center or scheduling a residential pickup (which typically costs additional). Most recently, I went into this location to deliver a package that I wanted to refuse delivery of. The woman behind the counter hemmed and hawed and ultimately didn't accept it, reminding me that there is a liability issue for doing so, that it should be returned to my original delivery driver, and that the driver that comes to their store, especially this time of year didn't want to put packages back on the truck. She went on to say that Staples does UPS shipping and has much the same restrictions. To that, I said "I'd expect this from Staples, but you have the UPS name on your door; perhaps you should rename your place to The Kind-Of UPS Store," among other things like UPS and their policies make the in-store customers 2nd class citizens, and that the store basically does not want to partake in any activity that doesn't directly generate revenue. Anyhow, if you go in and are prepared to use their services, you can expect decent service, but don't expect them to handle low or no margin activities, especially those that come with the 'liability' of handling packages where they are making (little-to) no money on. I am going to write a complaint to UPS corporate in this regard, because I think that if these locations are not trusted with 'fringe' packages such as refusals or high-value items, they shouldn't be trusted with any packages at all, and that these type of issues just diminish the perception of the UPS brand as a whole. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They lost a very important package sent to me from my parents. It had great sentimental value, so the "insurance" doesn't mean anything. He offered to find one for me and set it all up. Made small talk and was just nice. On a crazy day, its nice to come into contact with people like that. read more

My wife and I use this location very frequently. We have never had any problems shipping packages through them, and they also offer some regular Post Office Services as well, so if you think the UPS price is too high, just ask them what it would be for Postal Service pricing. Plus, if you're feeling lazy, you can walk in there with an item you want to ship, and they will package it up for you. We also do some printing and copying through them, and their pricing is great, machines are easy to use, and if you do have an issue, the employees are quick to help. We keep a postal mail box at this location, as well. It is inexpensive, and keeps us from having to deal with the post office leaving packages on our door step, where they could be stolen. As far as customer service goes, it is great. All of the employees I have dealt with have been quick to help, professional, and knowledgeable. They have helped my family many times, and if you have many packages, they are quick to grab some of your boxes and help you get them to your car. read more

Had a package delivered to my house. My address but not my name and definitely not something I ordered. I took it here to be sent back to the sending company. I handed it to the lady behind the counter and told her what was going on. She said she'd give it to the driver to send back. Sure enough, it was delivered to my house the next day. Guess it's too hard for someone to actually listen. She wasn't paying attention when I spoke to her. I have now battled with UPS to get someone to actually send it back. Trying to do the right thing shouldn't be this hard. If you want to make sure your package goes where it's supposed to go, go somewhere else. They don't listen here. read more
