This is the 2nd time I've had a negative experience with this clerk at the ups store Gahanna in Johnstown Road. She is passive aggressive. I had to ask her if everything was complete before leaving instead of her saying you're all set. Leaves an ugly taste in my mouth to get such meanspirited service. I'm a bit concerned that my passport won't get to the passport processing center because I said, "Am I done? after standing there. When she said yes under her breath, I said, Thanks for telling me." Hey Yelpers, This was by far the most awful experience I've ever had at a UPS store. I went in to drop off a package but needed to tape the box shut. Usually, a rep would hand me the tape and I'd tape as I felt was needed, not at this location! Let me tell y'all, I attempted to hold the sides of the box together so it can be closed tightly when taped. The worker told me to "get off the box, let go of it" and attempted to tape it the way he wanted. He then held on to the box and wouldn't let go until I told him to "Let it go, I'll take care of taping it": This grown man was literally fighting me for MY package that I wanted to tape correctly. After he let go, I pulled the box towards me and planned on buying my own tape. Yelpers, he pulled the box to him anyway taped it once down the middle, which we all know will not stay, and one on each side, took the box and put it in the back. This grown man UPS WORKER (wearing an afro 10/18/24) was literally fighting with me for MY package. He had his hands on both sides of the package , grabbing it and everything. I bought tape and had to ask another worker to retrieve my package so I could use the tape I bought to ensure it was secured properly. This experience was absolutely horrendous. The other worker was respectful and I noticed that he CAREFULLY secured the other customer's package. I have no idea why this level of interaction happened between a customer and a worker, it was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. read more

I have always appreciated coming to this UPS location. It's interesting that there are so many negative reviews. I always see the same employee every time. I never caught his name, but he's so nice and efficient! There have been times where I'm clueless about how to get my package shipped and he has helped me through the process. Even when it gets busy he'll try to get through as many customers as possible by multitasking. My packages have always been shipped on time and I get a tracking number each time. The store is clean which is a plus. If you don't look carefully you could miss it. If you are coming from Johnstown Rd then you will see it, but one time I came from N. Hamilton Rd and was completely lost because I didn't realize it was all the way in the back. read more

Not happy with UPS. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE FOR RETURNS. They like to screw you on your free returns and charge you...get this almost $3 f'king to print 3 Black & White labels. Three f'king labels...$.36 for the labels & $2 to use their computer and don't forget tax...WTF. I wish I was a man so I could tell them to suck my #@^%. I'm from out of town and not sure whether this is the location I was at or another one, but George was outstanding! I had an Ebay return that was strange and he helped me print a label and gave me directions to the post office. He even ran out a receipt to my car. A+++ service. Great location and staff! We moved out of Gahanna to Granville. There's a ups 3 minutes away from us, however the guy that works or owns it is an a-hole, so we continue to use this Gahanna location just for the staff. Customer service truly does pay off. read more

This UPS store is poorly and ineptly managed. As result of a botched packing job, I am out more than $260 for a damaged item. The owner could have appeased me a bit by reimbursing the $30 expense, but refused to do so. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Columbus. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. I've tried this location several times (Fall, 2015 to most recently) and the experience doesn't improve, unfortunately. During the fall it was easy to chalk up the tough experiences given the busy season with the holidays (too few behind the counter, too much of a long wait). This week no real reason as I was the only one in the store shipping out one small package. The cashier didn't ask about any discounts/coupons I may have (note: all other locations have and I respect and believe this is a franchise business) and I asked about my AAA discount truly believing at that time it was 10%. Whomever this person was said, "Why in the world would I give you 10% discount for AAA?" YIKES. Talk about harsh. He shared with me the AAA afforded one 5% off and for materials there was 15% off so the box would give me something off which was good and "there are a few 10% coupons floating around out there." Talk about not making anyone feel good about their purchase. He did grant me the 5% off and 15% for the packaging which is standard but again, it comes down to the customer experience. Been there tried that several times now. From now on go out of your way to hit up another different location. Lesson learned. read more

I have had a PO Box here for many years. The owner and staff are very helpful, kind, knowledgeable and reliable. I recommend this UPS Store location for printing, packaging, shipping and PO Box. By far the best Customer Service experience I've had. UPS failed to deliver my next day package. I spoke with Randy at the UPS store and told him my package wasn't deliver. He IMMEDIATELY got on the phone to get to the bottom of it. The package was deliver almost 2 days late. We sent a request to UPS for a refund. They refunded me, but not the full amount. So Randy had to call UPS to see why. They kept giving him excuses. Randy ended up refunding me the difference from his store and was going to take it up with UPS Corporation. Randy went above and beyond the call of duty. If you ever need packages shipped or packaging supply...Go see Randy!!! read more

We went in with some questions about pallet shipping and the owner spent 30+ minutes with us, kindly explaining how everything worked, even though he wasn't likely to get the business. I've always talked to the owner and he's been nothing but friendly and helpful, showing me what the best option for my shipment is and taking the time to chat with me. DO NOT GO TO THIS UPS STORE. Pick one of the other locations in the Columbus area. Randy the owner is rude and uncooperative. When I spoke to UPS Customer Service, I was told that I was entitled to a refund because I had paid for a Saturday delivery and UPS tried to deliver on Friday when the business was closed and did not attempt a second delivery until Monday. Randy blamed me for not coming in on Friday and sending the package overnight for a Saturday delivery and refused any type of refund. I didn't want UPS to refund the entire amount, only the charge for the second day air with guaranteed Saturday delivery. read more

Upon arrival at the store to mail a package the "manager" (only after I asked who it was because was already amazed by the poor service ) was on his phone. He told me he was the manager. I had questions regarding my shipment. I said I would wait until he was off the phone. He didn't care about being pleasant or more so, he was put out to assist me. After the shipment was completed, I asked for the owners name. This kid could care less. OWNER: invest in your business, your current manager will drive people away. I haven't been on Yelp in awhile but I just thought I would do a few to get started and I thought of a few places I've been lately and the UPS store in Gahanna, Ohio was one of those places. I do a lot of shipping for business and have dealt with all kinds of associates and all kinds of shipping companies and I have to say I was the most pleased I have possibly ever been with the shipping store at the UPS store in Gahanna. I can't remember the owners name. Mike maybe? I'm not certain but each time I've been there he's been the one working and working so hard I must say but always greets every person that walks in with a big smile and a very friendly attitude. He makes something as boring as dropping off packages on your to do list, and much more delightful task. It is a tad overpriced but that's the way the world goes these days but bottom line, I usually go in somewhat annoyed that I have to do the task but I always leave with a smile on my face and that is very important to me so thank you manager Mike (if that's your name. :-) read more

I rented a box at this store from 2013 until 2017 receiving and shipping at least 4 times a week. The staff turn over was frequent (at least twice a year) . In 2016 the owner-Randy hired a young man that immediately displayed signs of racism. When entering the store he would not speak to me and he never offered to hold the door as I struggled to load heavy boxes out of the store (often received heavy literature boxes from my company). I didn't expect him to help me to the car but offering to hold the door would have been nice... (all other employees were very friendly & helpful). After a few months it became uncomfortable to pick up my mail. Around Christmas I asked him to retrieve a package from a pile of UPS shipments that I had received deliver notification on. He replied, "just because you receive an email notice that your package has arrived DOESN'T MEAN that I can expect him to retrieve it, if he's busy I will need to come back at a later time/ date once he's sorted the mail? The tension only escalated and he eventually began returning packages or telling me they were not there after I would verify with the merchant that the package was delivered. I addressed my concerns with the owner a few times, he responded by stating that I was lying on his employee and I"m the one who has been mean/ rude to him?? (keep in mind I PAID TO RENT A BOX FOR THE PAST 5 years without ever complaining about any of his employees). The owners lack of respect or even appreciation of my business left me hurt and speechless, I felt disrespected. Since when do business owners call their customers liars? I really wondered how he would feel if a man spoke to his wife the way he spoke to me. Needless to say, I did not renew my box. A few months later my FED EX delivery man who also services that UPS store told me he was there the day the owner and I had our disagreement and he also felt he was very disrespectful. He offered to bring my packages directly to my home during the transition of the change of address. If you are a minority female or any minority I would NOT recommend supporting this business, IT IS SAD THAT I HAVE TO SAY THIS IN 2017. This is the second time I have dropped off pre-paid labeled packages that end up missing. The first time I called, I was told I should have gotten a receipt. I did ask for a receipt and was told it would be e-mailed? Never received an email. The package eventually showed up to the receipient almost 2 weeks later. The second time the package NEVER arrived. I kept the tracking number to check online since they will not give a receipt. The tracking number did not have any movement including the usual comment "pkg has been dropped off at the UPS store". It is still missing as a QVC return and QVC will not assist since I do not have any proof I dropped it off to this store. It is $175.00 return that I have to eat??? I will never ever go back to this UPS store and strongly discourage anyone else to go there. read more

Worst customer service ever! They actually threw away a package I shipped with them because things in it were broken. They are the ones who packed it. They didn't even call me to ask what I wanted them to do with the package. They just threw it away. The owner who was dressed in sweat pants and slippers actually said, "What do you want me to do about it"? He never even came close to apoligizing. Two weeks later I still don't have my money back.
