The worst UPS store ever.

The worst UPS store ever. Absolutely disrespectful treatment of customers. I will never come back here again. Neither I advise to others.

This is their "posted notice" of their Guaranteed Delivery Suspension.

I honestly wish I could give them a negative rating because that's how horrible they are ! I'm like genuinely pissed and these people weren't lying when they said they scam/rob you !! Basically ! A 364 lbs piano was supposed to be shipped to my house right and so it "gets" to my local post office ! Now I put it in quotations because I went to my local post office and they told me they didn't have it ! But let me tell y'all why I went to my local post office ! So I contacted their agent asking why my piano was on hold for 3 days already and supposedly it's because I had to pay $50 because it was from MY CITY ( keep in my mind I live in Cali ) and not because of them ! They stated supposedly that they're job is to deliver it on your door step but because it's from my city I had to pay $50 ! That's when I go to my local post office to talk about the $50 ! They told me , they never received my package and the $50 is something they never do (my post office ) which was weird ! I later contacted this company and I ended up paying the $50 TO THEM which made no sense to me but alright !! Later that day , they quickly put it for out for delivery and supposedly they delivered it ! I messaged them saying why does it say it's delivered and it's not here ?! They asked if I checked everywhere I told them yes ! I told them I check even my neighbors houses and around and the other side and EVERYTHING AND NOTHING ! They then said that they were going to send a delivery team by Monday to "resolve" my issue which idk WHAT IN THE **** were they going to resolve by arriving to my house but okay ! I give them time because they said they were going to email me when they get here ! I have NOT received one email or message from them AT ALL !! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking "oh they might come late " and NOPE NOTHING ! They lied and scammed and ROBBED ME !! Which I'm mad about because I already paid a lot of money for that piano !! Another thing about them is that never answer or take 85927294828 hrs to reply back ! So I would create new empty chats to see if they would respond fast and they did which was weird !! All of this they handled it very unprofessional and childish !! I even have pictures of their messages too ! Which I might make a second review ! But PLEASE DONT WORK WITH THEM !! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE !! I'm genuinely mad ! Here's the pictures !

I was expecting an important Amazon delivery that had not arrived as scheduled, and I urgently needed the item for a national conference I was attending. When I contacted USPS, I was told the post office opened at 8:00 a.m., but when I arrived, I learned the public window wouldn't open until 10:00 a.m., after carriers had already begun their routes. At that point, I was extremely concerned and unsure of what to do. While waiting, I noticed Ms. Chambers preparing the work and customer areas for the start of the day. I knocked on the glass, hoping she might be able to help or at least point me in the right direction. From the moment she came over, she was kind, attentive, and genuinely willing to assist. Ms. Chambers took the initiative to check on my situation and went above and beyond to see whether my package had already been loaded. Thanks to her effort, professionalism, and willingness to help, she was able to come through for me during a very stressful moment. Her actions made a real difference, and I am incredibly grateful for her support. Alonda Chambers is a true example of excellent service, and USPS is fortunate to have someone who represents the organization with such care, initiative, and professionalism. I'd hire her for my office.

The store is pretty busy, small and parking in Westfield can be a bit of a hassle but I'd return if I'm in town. The man who helped me was fine. Got the job done.

However, when I arrived, the store was closed. Another patron and I waited outside until 9:17 AM when an employee--whom I believe may be the manager and possibly the only employee regularly working at this location--arrived and opened the store. This was not an isolated incident. On numerous occasions in the past, the store has either opened late or temporarily closed during posted business hours while the employee left the premises to run personal errands. There have also been instances where I was asked to wait outside because the employee was leaving the store to obtain breakfast, during which time the store was closed to customers. When the employee arrived on March 4, I calmly expressed my frustration regarding the repeated delays and closures during the posted hours of operation. At the time, I had my two-year-old child with me. Rather than addressing the concern professionally, the employee became visibly upset and defensive and began verbally confronting me about why she was late. The employee then chose to serve the other waiting customer while refusing service to me. She subsequently locked me out of the store and waited for police to arrive. I contacted the police myself, and when they arrived they informed me that businesses may legally refuse service. However, the circumstances strongly suggest that this refusal was based on a personal grievance rather than any legitimate business or safety concern. As a result of this situation, I was forced to drive approximately three miles to another UPS Store location in order to complete my returns. While there, I was told that several residents from my neighborhood frequently travel to that location because they prefer not to deal with the employee at the Plainfield store or because the store is often closed with a sign stating that the employee will return shortly.

The once-reliable office supply retailer has fallen on hard times, it would seem. With only one…read morediscernible employee staffing the store, I felt bad distracting him from ringing up another customer at the register to ask him where I might find a postal scale. The shelves looked sad, with plenty of empty sections and a strong going-out-of-business aura. I felt bad for the single employee as well as the random two or three other customers wandering the store as aimlessly as I was. I spotted some overpriced battery banks and extension cords, packing tape and copier paper, but not the one office item I had expected to find. Yet I did manage to spot a Taylor Swift coloring book. (Yes, I'm a fan of the pop singer, but this is the last place I'd go looking for such a thing.) Unless the Amazon pick-up boxes and the FedEx counter are keeping it rolling in cash, I'd expect this location, if not the chain, to be bankrupt within a couple of years.

They were very nice and helped a lot to find the perfect chair. It was also moderately priced, which made us happy in this economy. My mom loves this chair now. As for the Staples itself, it felt kind of dead inside, but oddly homey. I think that made me enjoy my visit even more. It felt like Wall-E after they planted the plant and revived humanity. Perhaps a remaining store in a mall that is on the verge of closing. But not in a way that one would feel disdain. It is comfortable. This store has been on my mind ever since I went just because of how... storely it is. That is all to say: I suggest it if you need chairs and enjoy a joyfully haunting vibe in stores.
