Read my previous review for USPS. They couldn't do what I needed to send a package back so I thought I would mosey on down the line to UPS instead. I had my package of language translators to send back since I ordered 1 & they sent 5 of them. USPS wanted $68 dollars but then they couldn't send it because there were lithium batteries in the translators? I figured I would check out UPS to see if they could sent the package to Lithuania. This place saved my day when I had to rapidly print up documents for the dmv that's a mile or so south of there. The guy working there was really helpful and the process and prices were pretty easy, way easier than they make it at the dmv. Will definitely be back here when I need to print or send other stuff. read more

Do not go to this location for passport photos b/c they DO NOT provide these services. Per their UPS website for this location, it clearly indicates that they have photo services. When I arrived, the two guys at the counter said corporate needs to get this right. I made the trip for nothing and in addition, one of the counter guys had a look on his face like he was going to jump over for simply pointing this issue out to them. Very indignant indeed. Now I am seeing that they are charging for package pickup when it should be free. Not sure if this is true, so check it out before doing so people. read more

Greed has come to location. I had an order delivered which was supposed to be free. They made me pay $7 to get my order from them. They are a point of pickup for Nespresso which states this pick up is free. NOPE $7. Use CVS - they do not charge for pickup. Sad - have used this UPS location for many years. NO MORE. Does not pay to be so greedy when it can be posted all over social media. Hope this is helpful to someone else. read more

I've had packages shipped to this store for pickup in the past. They charged $3-$5. A UPS driver brings the box in, sets it on the floor, I come in and pay for it and then pick it up myself and leave. The store does nothing but allows a box to sit on the floor for 1 day. They charged me $35 to pick up 3 boxes. They won't be in business for long. Go to the UPS Store at Harlem and Touhy. read more

I had an oriental rug shipped to my niece's house in New Jersey 2 weeks ago. When she received it, some of the tussels of the rug were missing, some of them were glued with black greasy oil. I went to the store to make a complaint, the store clerk Yolena didn't apoligize. Instead she rattled on how I won't get reimbursed becuase the packaging material might not up to UPS standard. This claim was totally rediculous. I shipped a 2nd rug via FedEx ground. The packaging material is identical to the 1st one. FedEx ground is much cheaper and faster. Moreover, the rug was shipped perfectly. No damage at all. Yolena told NJ local office to send a mover to my niece's house to move the rug back to Chicago. This was a total wrong action to handle this case. I gave the rug to my niece. I want it remained in her house. I only want UPS to pay for the damage. Why do I want to have the rug shipped back? A week later, I went to the store again. I happened to talk to Yolena again. She again did her negative song and dance telling me that the packaging is not up to UPS standard and the insurance will not pay for the damage even after I paid $26.50 to insure this shipment. In both visits, Yolena didn't say 'I'm sorry' once. What kind of customer service is that? How does UPS train it's employees? I want to let everyone know the poor service I encountered at this UPS store. In addition, FedEx is much better shipping large items. Don't bother with UPS. read more

We'll simply stated, this place is a rip off. They charge outrageous prices that are not comparable to other UPS STORES! And when you inquire why there's a price gouge they state that "every store is a franchise and they can set their own prices"!! ... so I'm not sure who is so desperate to pay extra $ and use this location. They won't even honor the UPS headquarters quotes! If you use your common sense...STAY AWAY from here. read more

Everyone was helpful. I watched how they wiped down each pen as a customer used it. Prices were good compared to other choices. Also very comfortable with the parking. Big shout out to Matthew Macomb and my UPS store2263. Matt heled me solve an urgent and complicated medical situation. in short, a nail tech and good friend shared that her mother was diagnosed with a significant tongue cancer in Vietnam. I urged her to get her home to Chicago asap. I assisted her to obtain the necessary medical documents, to get her to a head and neck cancer surgeon. The problem? In spite of Matt's best efforts, he couldn't get a legible FAX through to the MD office. I was walking and asked Matt to overnight the documents, as it was urgent that this patient required evaluated asap. I didn't carry cash/cards on me as I was walking. Matt trusted me that the Nail tech would pay by COB. Due to his amazing efforts, outstanding customer service, swift action, this patient is back home and SCHEDULED to be evaluated by the surgeon this Wednesday. The day before Thanksgiving! We have much to be Thankful for on that day, but can you imagine how grateful this patient and family is that Matt stepped up? That's what excellence looks like. Matt's efforts to get those documents to the Doctor, was the critical event to move this patients evaluation, treatment and cancer cure forward! Thanks Matt! I was in desperate need of help and since 2020 was the most unpredictable and unpleasant for me personally, walking in I was greeted immediately by Joe and acknowledged by both ( the other gentleman had a line of 2). Joe helped me every step of the way! I had over 54 pages that had to get scanned and emailed to two separate entities. I then had a last minute email that I needed to fill out and send back with all other documents. He said just send it to the store and he'll print it out and give me as much time as I need to fill it out while he jumps on the other register because they had 2 more customers walk in. I finished and he was just finishing up with his last customer in line. Joe came right over, socially distant of course and neck/face mask combo ( i thought that was to cool, I've never seen those before..lol) he got right to work and did it for me probably because I had stated I was on my 3rd night wide awake working on this, he showed extreme human compassion and empathy for a woman whose eyes are bloodshot and I look so unbelievably tired I can barely stand, lbvs... By this time I had met the other gentleman who is Matt and I later found out was the manager! He now had 1 more customer just walked in. Joe was so nice and would verify the email was right each time by pointing out and moving back 6 feet, I did and he came right back and sent it, each time. He asked if I needed anything else and was just the best experience I've had at a UPS store, I've been to several... he brought up my copy to the checkout and I was able to speak with Matt while he was ringing me out. I had to let his manager/supervisor know what an amazing employee he had working with him!!! I'm a 46 year old woman who has been waiting on this paperwork since December 14th-15th, I didn't receive it until after Christmas. So I had to go through it all expeditiously and without error. I did my best after a 36 hour stretch and headed up there. I hope all who read this know there are people still willing to help you every step of the way and if their upper management reads these reviews, please reach out and give these gentleman Matt and Joe the accolades and a bonus maybe..lol I would if I was there boss but I'm not... In closing, they made a great start to my 2021, which I'm only allowing positive energy and Blessings to surround myself!!! Thank you Both for going above and beyond, forever grateful... Ugh, I haven't reviewed this place yet?! TGE ABSOLUTE WORST. HORRIBLE customer service, every single time I'm here. They all act like they're doing you a favor getting out of their chair. Always SO rude! I don't know what the deal is with these guys- unfortunately I've been coming here for years now and then cause I live around the corner. I don't use them anymore because their customer service is so bad. So I'm here now forced to because of an amazon return- prepaid. Fine. Guy is rude, and says if I don't go home and get a box or buy a box "we're going to be having the same conversation over and over again." Rude! And FYI- no more card transactions less than $5. And they charge to use their tape now- guys never charged me before! Avoid, avoid, avoid!! read more

I've always had great service at this store and it's usually easy to park out in front. Very professional and courteous staff. I've never had any issues with them. Most of the UPS stores charge to seal packages and label for delivery. Nominal charge at $ 1.00, less than a cup of coffee. The post office makes you buy the entire roll of tape and aren't nearly as accommodating. You don't get something for nothing. I'd rather pay UPS this nominal charge rather than use the post office, particularly for returning items from online sellers. read more

I just received a reply to my rating about wanting to charge for a 2"piece of tape: "Unfortunately, we have to charge for tape. We don't like to but, the cost for us was getting too high." Well schmuck, if you need to pass on your cost for doing business to your customer, you're doing something wrong. Every time I have needed to call or stop in for shipping or printing services it has been a last minute special request. And every time the staff tell me they will make it happen which they do without fail. Recently I called about a job another printer said would take 7-10 days and they did it for way less the next day. read more

Simple envelope delivery costs $17 in Chicago I gave instructions to call receiver they ignored me and delivery got all screwed up won't use again and you shouldn't either. Employee barely cared and wasn't helpful. read more

Oh and he wouldn't give me his name or take my information down for the owner to call me. He said "I don't have to, I didn't do any thing wrong." Rude and immature. The manager is rude and insensitive once you question his additional charges. He did not charge me for a notary the first time so it was a great first impression and I continued to use this UPS location. The next time I needed a notary he charged me $5. I thought it was odd that he charged me when I can go elsewhere and get it done for free or just a couple bucks. When I came back and questioned him, the real manager's personality comes out. He told me to "don't come back". I was in disbelief that UPS would hire someone like this in a managerial position to represent their brand. You'll be treated well at first. But take his advice and don't come back or question his charges unless you want to experience his stingy wrath! read more

This UPS has horrible customer service. Went to pick up 3 packages at our box and was told that I couldn't pick up packages because I didn't have our key with me, but the packages have my name on them. I showed a valid ID with my name and was still told that I had to have my key with me. Never is all the years or recent months have I had to have my key with me. The clerk came back with one package, but was told there were 3. He went back to look and brought out one more. Not even looking for my third package that had been delivered this am. So now I have to make another trip tomorrow to UPS to get my other package. I won't been using this UPS for any of my shopping needs. read more

Love this store. I started out many years ago with a mail box but have since stopped that service. Did you know that they will allow you to have packages delivered to them ( for a fee) if you need something signed for and you are not home? How cool is that? Rather than get a note in my home mail box that I have to get to a specific post office to pick up my package between certain hours, I just have my "signature required" packages shipped to the UPS store. Notary service was not helpful. My husband and I needed to get our will notarized. I called and spoke to an employee to see when these services were offered. I was told the manager was the notary and works random hours, but mostly Monday-Friday in the morning. Not very helpful for people who work weekdays. I also asked if I needed to bring a witness and the employee told me he could be the witness. A week later, by some miracle, we managed both to get off work on a Friday. I called before I went there and was told the manager would be there all day. We went at 10:30 am and the manager told us we needed to come back when another employee was there to be a witness, between 12:30-4:00. He assured us he would be there until 4:00. I was smart enough to call before we went there at 3:15, and of course the manager had already left. Don't waste your time with notary services here. Very frustrating. read more

The manager of his store and I believe his name is Richie Betts or Richard B. (the guy wearing a purple shirt on the photo) is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I asked him to print 3 files for me that I needed for my job interview today. One of the files is my resume and two others are presentations. I don't have a color printer at home and 11"x17" size of paper. This location of UPS store is the closest to my home and I used their services before (usually when Richie was not there). At the very first minute after I walked in to the store, Richie said to me: "Well, I don't have much time, we are going to be very busy soon". In a hurry, he grabbed my flash card and stuck it to the printer. He asked me which file I wanted to print. I pointed to the right one. That file was my resume. He printed 5 copies. Then, I asked him to print my two other files - my presentations. He said: "Do it yourself, I don't really know how to use this printer". I was shocked to hear that. I pressed the print button but the document did not print right: instead of landscape orientation, it came out as portrait and some of the text was cut off; it was not acceptable. I told Rcihie that the orientation of the paper needed to change to landscape and I asked him how to do that. He gave me the same answer: "Do it yourself. I don't know". I said: "How come? I believe you used to have a different computer and I remember your clerks used to edit all the settings on that computer in the back room" and I pointed it to that computer. He said: "That computer does not work anymore. I can't help you." I said: "How about 11"x17" paper, I see on tray # 4 it says: 11x17? " He said: "No, we don't have that size anymore". I was shocked. I reminded him that I was his customer and as a manager he should treat his customers with respect. I said: "I would never come to your store again". He said: "It is fine. We are not a print shop. We are UPS store." I asked him how much I owe him for the resumes. He said: "Nothing". I said: "I would like to know your name and please give me your business card". He did not tell me his name but said that the business cards are behind me, on the stand and he added that I was getting the resumes for free. I said: "I don't want to owe you anything. I will pay for them". And I did. $7.35 for 5 copies. After I left the store, I felt so horrible. I felt like someone just poured a bucket of dirty water on me. How dare you treat me like that, Richie? All I did is I asked for the service which I was ready to pay for. If UPS stores don't want to provide any printing services to their customers, then why do they keep color printers at their stores? I can't believe that people like Richard B. can be managers or even business owners??? They lack qualities that any manager and business owner must possess: communication skills, professionalism and willingness to work hard to achieve a satisfied customer. Shame on you, Richie or Richard! I wish that someday someone would treat you the same way as you've treated me today. Happy holiday season to you, schmuck! read more

Rude and overcharged for shipping. Had a great experience the first time I visited this store. The associate was able to answer my questions and helped me determine the box and shipping options that best met my needs. If I had rated this location based on my last two visits (same associate helped me both times) I would have given a four or five star rating. Unfortunately, the associate that was so helpful during my last visits was not working at the time of my most recent (and absolute last) visit. The associate, the same person that appears to be responding to yelp comments, was rude and demeaning. My packaging was not up to par per UPS standards. OK, that I can understand. What I cannot understand is why each question I asked was met with a snide comment or short and obviously annoyed response. I am interested in saving money on shipping. I also would like to understand the requirements for shipping packages. Not outlandish requests...After a new box and repackaging of my items we started over. To prove his point he manually entered the charge from the previous box and overcharged me for shipping. Something didn't sit right, so after I left the store I entered the specs of my package online on the UPS website. It was over $2.00 cheaper. Point taken. Regret that there is something wrong going on here. Despite getting very helpful customer service, a box in a large order never made it's destination. Went through UPS national as I felt it was somewhere in the system. The store owners have the ability to advise national to terminate any investigations or lost and found issues. When I finally visited the store, I was told that I had given him less boxes than is shown on my cash register receipt. I have exhausted every angle. An expensively packed box vanished into thin air. UPS corporate says that my tracking number does not exist as it had been voided. Funny thing is, I took a photo of the boxes in the store and you can count every one of them. I even have a digital copy of the missing shipment label which I requested for business expenses. I sent both of these to the UPS retail complaint department and nothing can be done at their level. You MUST deal with the store owner. Your word against his. And I do not have proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that would convince a judge, but I believe these goods were perhaps stolen. read more
