Does not know Illinois notary law. Would not notarize an acknowledgment because I did not sign in front of them. That is attesting or witnessing a signature. It's disappointing that they advertise notorial services but do not understand the law/act. read more

Kudos to Kevin who patiently helped me with the process of getting my fingerprints done today. My fingers chose today to be supple and moisturized which did not help with getting fingerprints. Today was the day I processed tons of my family returns. The store associates, Leila, Kevin and Filip handled the situation with a team approach. Leila was the one who first met me at the counter and did most of the work, but the other guys stepped in shortly to get me out of the door ASAP. They helped other customers as well but continued their help when became available. They all greeted me with a smile and it was har not to notice their positive attitude towards everyone who needed help. Bought 2 padded envelopes for mailing USB drives. Brilliant(?) owner sticks price tags on front of envelopes IN AREA FOR ADDRESS. Tags are DIFFICULT to remove, leaving HOLES IN FRONT OF ENVELOPE. Hope USPS accepts envelope with remains of price sticker and take over hole. read more

I needed to notarized a document, This UPS store charged me $6.00 and he didn't even do it correctly, I had to go to currency exchange to re do it and it was only $1.00. UPS store charged me $1.00 for notary and $5.00 for retail service fee, I think this was a ripoff. read more

Shipped three packages here for the first time and had a pleasant experience. The gentleman behind the counter was courteous and helpful. He was able to package my items to ship and I was very pleased with the service. The gentleman behind the counter was a tad slow; however we was thorough. I sent three packages to three separate locations, therefore he just wanted to make sure he had all three addresses correct. In doing so, a line formed pretty quick behind me. In my opinion, I would rather him be a tad slow and thorough than fast and incompetent. In Sum: I will return, great place!!! read more

I highly recommend this UPS store location. I have dealt with both Bob and Sandy and they have been very helpful. I had to ship some pieces of furniture to my brother who lives in another state. Bob explained the different prices and options for shipping. He meticulously wrapped and crated the furniture pieces. These were custom built crates made just for these specific items. Fantastic craftsmanship that kept the furniture safe and secure. Sandy contacted my brother to let him know when the shipments were on their way. Great communication and customer service all around! read more

Not sure why the other people had such bad experiences with the owner, as I met both him and his wife and they were both more than helpful. He mentioned that it would be 160 to ship my bike and then said if we could make it just 1-2 inches lower that it would take 70 or more off the price. He proceeded to modify my box for me and add some padding so that it was 90 instead of 160. What great customer service! To top it all off, they gave me a bag of Garrett's popcorn and a home made brownie that they said they made for their customers. I will be back again if I need to ship something! read more

I walked in at 7:20pm with my package. It was over 60lbs once it was all packed so I brought it piece by piece. I had everything I need and it took me 2 min to pack it. First off, a middle aged man (50s/60s) makes a comment that they close at 730pm and my package is not ready. I tell him it'll be 2 min. Once it's packed, I push it across the floor. Excuse me, but I don't lift over 60lbs, he says, "Really? You're going to push that across my floor?" I ask him what he expects me to do? He keeps complaining about other stuff and says if I even have my label. I had it already filled out. I tell him to just save his saliva since he's still going to take my package so the complaining is really for nothing. He says, "I'm not spitting at you" and that's when he realizes his face mask was tucked under his chin the whole time, violating public space COVID protocol. He then says that I was working from home, sitting all day, which shows his ignorance. He made the assumption that I work from home when he has no idea who I am or what I do for a living. Clearly he's angry about something, and decided to take it out on his last customer. If he doesn't want people walking in at 7:20pm then store hours should be until 7:20pm not 7:30pm. At the end of it all, I was in my car by 7:29pm, before closing. I use UPS a ton for work shipments and never has any UPS worker/store owner treated me that way or any other customer that I've seen for that matter. There are UPS workers that go above and beyond and offer assistance in taping or carrying my package. I definitely didn't expect that kind of service from this guy since he had this annoyed look the moment I walked in. This guy seriously had anger issues, maybe had a bad day but that's no excuse to be a prick to random people who walk into the store with the sole purpose of getting a shipment out. At the end, this guy refused to give me his name, no surprise. Clearly, he wasn't too proud of his behavior. Corporate was notified about this by the way. It's sad that they let an ignorant, inconsiderate, crank run this store and taint the UPS brand. Qualifications must be low in standards. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague! I was actually in a shouting match with the owner who insisted I had either picked my package or was given a duplicate receipt? He then proceeded to follow me outside shouting that "it was my fault" I called CPD when he started following me into the parking lot! I have been a box holder there for almost a year now and I have always chose to ignore the owners miserable crabby attitude up until now. What ever you have to do to avoid this place please do so..I would rather send smoke signals then give this guy another penny of my money for shipping! This all happened today...trust me I will be moving to a different UPS store immediately. I decided to have a mattress shipped here for pickup since I don't have a secure delivery area in my apartment, and this is the nearest UPS location. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews here, but I actually had a wonderful experience. I called the store to ask if it would be okay to have the mattress shipped there, and the woman on the phone was very courteous and helpful. She took my name and phone number and told me that she would let the staff know when the item was expected to arrive and have them give me a call upon delivery. They did call me as soon as the item was delivered, and the pickup process was seamless, too. Overall a pleasant experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to use this location for UPS pickups again. read more

The guy who runs this place, who I presume is the owner, takes customer service to a whole new level of low. I intend on writing my complaint directly to UPS for the owner of this store just being so incredibly rude and swearing at me. I don't ship UPS that often - our company primarily uses FedEx, but when a customer wants to ship their products UPS, we'll print out some labels, slap them on their packages, and send them off to a local UPS drop off point. In this case, I was coming from the airport and had a few cartons I needed to get to a UPS drop point, so I found this place using my phone. Bring my first package in, drop it on the counter - the door chime rings, but nobody is to be found. I go back to my car, get the remaining packages, and bring them inside. I'm in a good mood - it's almost Thanksgiving. This curmudgeonly man comes from the back room to accept my packages, shows up at the counter - I tell him I'm dropping off these pre-labeled packages. He puts the first one on the scale, sees that the label says 1 lb (they're clearly more - but we've found it doesn't matter what we put, since UPS always weighs the packages, and charges us or our customer for the actual weight). At this point, he loses his mind and starts swearing. "I'm not f*#$ing taking this s#$t", and launches into a tirade about how I know how much our own product weighs, etc. At first I thought he was joking, since he is about to scan these packages into the system on the scale, measuring the actual weight into the computer, but as I turn to leave, he continues to swear, s*&t this and that, and I just am stunned by all of this. I'm just not taking this s&%t, he continues, instructing me to take the packages with me, and I just not wanting to have to go back and forth from my car several times grab all the cartons in my arms, and start towards the door. I say, still stunned but coming to, as I'm leaving, "You really shouldn't swear at your customers. I'm going to call UPS." All I have to say is this - if you don't want to be insulted or yelled at, avoid this particular UPS store. UPS would be wise to revoke its franchise. read more

I had some expensive packages mailed out to me and for some because I wasn't home when they were delivered, they were sent out to this location to be held. I went in and inquired about my mail and the cashier this young man was nice and so was the woman that was there. Great service and thank you for keeping and holding my stuff for me to pick up!! If you can hold off and find another place to serve your shipping needs - I would. I went in here to mail a couple of letters - first the kid tried to get me to pay $9 per letter to ship it UPS. When I explained there were just valentines day cards (they were in red envelopes) and I didn't need them sent overnight or tracked - he said I would have to buy a book of stamps. Before I could respond - the "owner" standing behind the kid said "you can just meter them" - I didn't say a word before the kid put the first card through the meter - then brought it to the owner because - duh - you can't see a red metered stamp on a red card. The owners stated - that WAS a problem and it probably wouldn't make it but I would have to pay for it. I didn't say anything - I just said - please sell me a book of stamps. He gave me the stamps but kept the card that was metered. When I asked about it the kid said he would send it. I said - I thought you said it might not make it. The owner then made some very rude comment and I said - listen I didn't ask to have the card metered - you told me it wouldn't send - you then charged me for it - and now I have to worry if it will get to its destination. He said - you shouldn't have asked for it to get metered - I said - I never did. Anyways - luckily my cards got to their destination but I cannot believe in these days and times - you could expect such rudeness from a service organization when there are so many other choices. It wasn't just me - I heard the owner talking on the phone and to other patrons. I'll go out of my way not to go here again. read more

The old owners were great. The new ones don't have good customer service skills or 'customer is always right' mentality at all. The old owners would use 12 inches of tape for free for your package and say thank you for using us. These new guys asked for $1 to tape your package and followed up by saying the post office would point you to the wall, which if they consider rude, they did tell me that too. So the mark up on a roll of tape that is $4 is 2,000%. Charge me a dime... Not a dollar for something you get for pennies. Nice! read more
