Arrived at the store and asked which computer I could use to login to my account to print the label. Logged in and printed label. Attached label to package and handed it to the kid behind the counter. He says it's $1.22. Didn't even realize he was talking to me. So person who answered the phone made no mention of a fee. The kid who told me which computer I could use to print out the label made no mention of the fee. No sign next to the computer making any mention of a fee. When I hit the print button on the computer screen, it made no mention of a fee. It is their job to make the customers aware of a fee beforehand allowing us to decide if we still want to use this service. A woman in the store at the same time said she wanted to use the fax machine. She was immediately made aware of the cost, prior to using this service. CHARGING ME AFTER THE FACT IS ILLEGAL. What prevents them from charging me any amount they want. Should've taken my package and left. The amount charged is not the point.

This had to be done in Chicago. We were on a time crunch to get this sorted out. Simon Global got the document for us, added the required certification and had it to us in Malta all within a week. This UPS store is just fine. They also do passport photos here. There aren't any special hours for the passport photos so head in at any point during hours. As of February 2023, the cost for passport photos is only about $15. My mail was basically held hostage even though I had paid for the service. I had to reach out to corporate to complain and they refused to communicate with them either. I had clients who had sent me checks and they refused to forward them to me. I had to reach out the clients and ask them to reissue them (how unprofessional is that?)

Annoying but not bad. This store used to be fairly busy. When you slap a printing fee and a page fee and I believe they now have a tape fee??? people stop feeling good about going to said store. Also, 3 people at the counter and not a single one walks up to help hold the door for a large package. Just blank stares behind the counter. Not what I like to see when I'm struggling to get in... I drive 6 miles south to the UPS store in Lincoln Park on North Ave where the staff prints all my labels for $2 total. The end. The owners son comes out TO MY CAR to help me carry heavy boxes. It's never expected and I've never asked but the service is there- as it should be.
