CS closed the store early on Wednesday; not at 6:30pm, wasting a trip to get packages out.

I have had 2 packages delivered to this location. Both time the people involved didn't seem to know where my package was. The first time I had to point out the large box, this time I had to prove to them that the box was their by giving them the tracking info. They then charged me $5 for the privilege of picking the box up at their store instead of taking deliver at my home. They were rude and even forgot to have me sign for the package. They said everything was UPS's fault, and they are just a UPS store and whatever UPS does isn't their problem. I will ask companies to ship Fed. Ex from now on. BTW, my first shipment was addressed to my house but UPS told me at 9am the package would be at my house after 1PM. I got home at noon and the package had begin returned because I wasn't home at 10am. What a poor operation all around. read more

My package needed to get to its destination quickly and it needed to be handled properly. When it arrived the person I sent the package too was happy at the condition of the item and the packing job. I have a weekly print job that I get done in FL. This week I was in GA & this location was near. When I went inside there was a young lady Annie assisting a couple and another gentleman. Next to her doing absolutely nothing was another worker sitting under a fan busy playing his Nintendo Switch. I emailed my order to the store and Annie took a minute from the other two people she was helping to go print it. The borders didn't come out & the Nintendo guy suggests she fit to print which she went to do.. Out of nowhere comes another worker Vashal to tell me that the printer that they have had preset borders and it won't capture the borders. I mentioned that I get this job printed in Florida and have never heard of that. Vashal proceeds to tell me that the Florida printers are different from the Georgia ones (he said it with a straight face)... I said fine knowing he was just too lazy to resize the document and advised that I still needed it printed. Every week I have the document printed and cut in half. Vashal then tells me their cutter is busted. I'm looking at 2 cutters behind him. Annie knew he was lying but she did give me good scissors to get it done. Oh wait Nintendo boy did get up again when a regular came in with her son. He got up to go get a tub of cheese balls and proceeded to let the child stick his hands (not cleaned or sanitized) inside the tub and grab cheese balls. He then resumed his Nintendo duties (insert face palm) I actually needed to get 100 graduation invitations printed as well but there was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I would do anything at this store again. I have used this location for shipping, Amazon returns, printing and notary services over the last several years and the owner and employees have always been polite and patient. I never have to wait more than a few minutes. Will continue to be my go-to when I need any of these services. read more

I am very disappointed in the new ownership of this store. The previous owners of this location were very friendly and did everything they could to help you. However the new ownership has no interest in helping anyone. I seem to be a nuisance when I stop in to ship any package. And if it's a amazon return you'll get 20 questions as if you're trying to get one over on them. The store prior to new ownership was bright and full of relative merchandise to wear as it is now stripped down to bare essentials. UPS needs to reconsider these franchises and close a few that do not represent the brand well. read more

I took an Amazon package in to return. It was a pretty big box and in bad shape, but that's why so was returning it to Amazon. It was in bad shape and the contents were damaged. They refused to take the package. I took it to Oakwood and no questions were asked! The kid, probably Vashal, in this one just didn't want to fill with the package. Use a different store. read more

Buyer Beware Have you ever tipped a waiter 67% gratuity for the convenience of the food being brought to your table? No? How about you order the food, the food arrives, but then the tip is cooked into the bill so that it appears as if you are paying for one meal, but the hidden up charge is so great that it is almost the cost of two? No again? Well, willkommen to the world of "The UPS Store" . A "convenience" surcharge i would imagine to be 10-20%; but no, it was a 67% markup on the USPS package stamp i purchased at their store--that is the convenience of not going to UPS or a USPS directly. Amazingly, the invoice displayed one flat price, plus $.20 for a processing fee. $45.33 for a USPS package at The UPS Store vs. $27.20 at the Post Office. $18.13 charged extra for "convenience". Insult to injury, the clerk even added an inch to the dimensions on my box, a box that I had purchased at the store 10min earlier, so 12x12x12 became 13x13x13. That would not have influenced the USPS pricing at all; however, it would influence the UPS pricing. I recall that i was told $88 UPS ground, and based on the UPS website's shipping calculator my package would have been $81 or $84 depending on the dims; note that the markup is not as great, only $4 - $7, or 4% to 8%. So in a nutshell: -a surcharge not separated on the invoice as a line item, it is hidden -a surcharge of astronomical proportions -the inferred claim that the sticker price is the actual price -a dimensional markup -and obfuscation on the employees' part But if you want more as far as how the store employees handled this information, here it is: The employees were always polite, but don't let that be the determining factor. At the time of the shipping quotes, i asked the counter person if there was a surcharge--nope, I was told that the price is as listed. (i also had to explain that the surcharge is a price added on to the original cost). I went ahead with the order but then checked pricing when I arrived home as that seemed a lot, and it was--a 67% markup. When I called back to the store, I spoke to the other counter rep, who was standing right next to the one i had dealt with. she said that the store puts a mark-up so they can make money, it is a "convenience" charge, and that if she had overheard the conversation about the questioning of whether or not there was an additional cost (again, she was standing right next to us), she would have corrected the original response. Then, very politely, she said that i should keep this in mind the next time i used the UPS Store, if i came back again. She did not even suggest that I could come in and retrieve the package as USPS had not yet arrived. I drove back out to the store 20 miles away, retrieved the package with a refund, and dropped it at a USPS where they have a computerized package stamp generator on site--now that is a convenience. all the UPS Store is good for is dropping off packages, which i recommend everyone doing after they buy their UPS or USPS label online so that you do not have to pay a 67% tip for having the "convenience" of a label printed on site. I would also be wary of The UPS Stores at any Staples as well. This one store I believe is how all other UPS Stores operate, buyer beware. read more

A local shop owner went to this location to ship something for me that I purchased while in the area. While she was there the price for my $55 item was quoted at $45 which is ridiculously high considering its super light weight. While trying to set up her business account, which was unprofessional while I was waiting on the phone the price of shipping my item went up an additional $10??? Now charging $55, then he added thats not including supplies or packaging?! He charged me an additional $8 for "supplies". When it arrived today his version of supplies was a USED lamp box that he cut to fit and absolutely NO cushion or wrapping of any kind around my item just thrown in the cardboard box. This place is a disgrace to the UPS company and would not recommend anyone in the area give them any business. read more
