The first time I came in to use the Amazon return feature, I didn't have a cardboard box so they charged me $3+ for a box. Ok, that's fine, I will do better next time. Next time ended up being three weeks later, so I brought in the return in its ORIGINAL packaging, and the employee said, "this box doesn't work, it needs to be a plain cardboard box." So they've gotten me to pay over $6 for two return items that don't even add up to $30 in value. Does that make sense to anyone?? read more

Did an Amazon drop off yesterday. Got chastised by the guy behind the counter because although the Amazon form said it was a free drop off he told me that I had to pay him a dollar for packaging. Mind you I brought the item back in the exact same cardboard box it was shipped to me in. This was an unopened, unused item. His point of contention was the piece of tape that it was gonna take to shut it or at least that's what he said. But when I ran my credit card, the machine tried to push me into donating to a charity. Egregiously the counter guy stuck his hand over the top of mine, and tried to push the donate button, using a scolding tone, as though I was obligated to give. I had to say no out loud to get him to decline the "charity" donation. There is nothing posted in the UPS store that says you are required to pay for your Amazon returns, and there is nothing posted about how they donate a portion of your funds to charity or any other declarative information that would justify that money grab, either. I ended up calling Amazon this morning to make sure that my package was properly coded and sent back. To their credit it was. But when I told the Amazon team about being charged the exact words of Dominic my tech were "That concerns me. That's not supposed to be happening." Amazon stated they were going to follow up with the store directly. And the supposed charity they are donating to, I have contacts there and I've reached out to find out whether or not UPS makes legit donations, or if that money grab was indeed intended toward the individuals' slush fund. Very disappointing experience with a neighbor business. I live here and I'm part of the Garden City Chamber. This is not what the businesses of this community are about. read more

I do not understand any of these bad reviews. The customer service at this location is superb. They are extremely fast and extremely helpful. If you don't like getting charged for tape then tape it yourself (and, even the guy that left the terrible review admitted they taped it for free). It takes extra time and $ for them to tape or do other packaging so it is reasonable for them to charge for it. If you don't like the prices use USPS or FedEx. Nobody is forcing you to walk in the store. I definitely recommend this location. read more

Basic UPS store. Today is Pearl Harbor Day. A very frail man wearing his WW2 hat came in to return an Amazon package. The woman at the counter told him he needed to tape the shipping envelope shut. He said he did not understand her (strong accent). She repeated it several times to the poor man who still didn't understand her. She told him it was one dollar (for her to tape it). He got out a dollar a little puzzled and she said no no. I won't charge you now but next time if I have to tape it closed, it will be a dollar. He then shuffled out the door. I was so angry at myself for not speaking up. A World War Two vet and she was giving him grief over a piece of GD tape. She should be ashamed of herself and the business should do better recognizing those who fought for our freedom. read more

On Friday I paid $39 to ship an envelope overnight to Ketchum Idaho. When I checked the tracking on Saturday, I discovered the package was not going to be delivered until Monday. I was not informed that this was the case when I paid for overnight shipping. When I contacted the manager they were not willing to do anything. Buyer beware! Also, at least one of the store clerks had their Covid mask below their nose. read more

It's UPS, so yes, they offer all the services you need. The problem is that no one is wearing a mask and they're not practicing social distancing. You have to take your own pen to sign the forms. Best to avoid going into this location until they have masks, at least. read more

I dropped off 6 packages and paid $300 to mail them. Got a phone call 4 hours later saying that one of the packages was misquoted and they needed an additional $50. Since this was their fault, I asked them to meet me half way. They declined and so did I! Poor customer service!! read more

Friendly, helpful, and very professional staff! They always provide me with the best options for sending packages and I've never had one issue with this store! I've been coming to this store for many years and the whole crew has always treated me like family. And yes, they do charge me for using some of their packing supplies (tape, boxes, etc.), as ALL of the other UPS stores do. I don't think it's fair to give such a negative review for getting charged a dollar or two more for using their packing supplies. Have you ever ordered for some extra sauce when you go out to eat? Yes, they charge a little extra for that... it is a BUSINESS after all... Otherwise bring your own tape or packing supplies. I've had nothing but great experiences here for the last few years. I sold a sleeping bag on ebay. Went to the liquor store, nearby, to get a sturdy box. Proceeded to pack my sleeping bag up and tape my prepaid label to the box. Try to drop it off at the UPS store and they refuse to take it, because it was a box with a picture of alcohol on the front. Took it to the UPS hub and they had no issue with it.
