Today was not one of my normal days so I googled closest FedEx near me and this joint pooped up. I have lived in this area for almost 10 years and never knew about this spot. We always just hit Winco, Home Depot and the food spots. I am really learning more about the store fronts in this center. Pulling up I almost missed it. It's a smaller store but I found me a nice front row parking spot and made my way in. There was a gal working behind the counter. She greeted me and asked what she could do for me. I told her about my packages and she got me squared away. I was also sending some important paperwork to the transplant hospital as well. I needed an envelope and postage. She guided me to the right envelope and got me taken care of. It was a smooth transaction from start to finish. While I was writing the address on the envelope, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by all the fun, local things they had in the store. Local soaps, chapsticks, kitchen towels. It was all so fun to look at. I loved all the fun soaps they had. I could stay there for a while just to smell all of them. I guess this joint has been around for 20 years, crazy. I would have never known to today. This joint is 8 minutes from my house. It's so convenient to be able to drop off my packages without having to go downtown or by the mall. The associate was really kind and they had some fun goodies there. I know where I need to go now when I have any packages to be dropped off in the future.

You would think as many people come to drop off packages and get stamps that these postal workers would be annoyed or grumpy. I have come all hours of the day and they are always nice! Came in for my yearly Christmas stamps today. The postal worker got me my goods and sent me on my merry way. There was a line formed by the front door and the 2 workers handled it like bosses. Another time I had something that had to be signed for. She left the notice on my door. I signed it and put it in my mailbox the next morning so she would deliver it in a couple of days and forgot about it. Then I left town and was gone for 10 days. TWO WEEKS AFTER I got back I got a reminder notice and it said to come pick it up at the post office. I went right down only to find out the thing that I needed to sign was from the INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE. WTF? I filed a complaint and wanted to speak to a supervisor. They took my number and said someone would call me. That was a couple of months ago now. Still no call from anyone. Still no Saturday mail. Now today, I am currently on hold to speak to someone from USPS. I had a package that was to be delivered yesterday. Showed up on my email but was never delivered. I went into my dashboard to see where it was. Went out for delivery, but was never delivered. Now it says I have to go pick it up. Again, WTF?!?!?!?! Did I mention my mail lady sucks? JUST DO YOUR DAMN JOB! And just in case you think I am just a disgruntled person who hates the postal service? My husband works for the postal service. He is a mailman. Even he says this is BS.

I waked in and bright and cheery young cashier smiled and greeted me. We chatted about 'old tech' and then we started the clunky process of doing a cover sheet and sending a fax. I checked out the LovePOP cards all while carrying on a friendly conversation. The store is not large but has all that anyone would need to take care of business. There are PO Boxes, copy machines, office supplies and Saddle bags that are made in Idaho. How'bout that! Another customer arrived with an Amazon return and Amanda was efficient and pleasant. I felt bad that it was taking so long but she apologized saying that faxing these days depends on where it's being sent and the receiving fax. Shortly thereafter, Amanda appeared from the back and greeted me and we talked some more about the LovePOP cards and the exquisite work involved to create the cards. I handed over my envelope that needed to be mailed to the HOA and it was compliant with the old stamp that I had found in one of my desk drawers and moments later- BRRRRRRRR-DINNNNNGGGGGGGG-DINNNNNNNG-BEEEEP_BLOOOPPPPPPPPP. The fax was going through. Wow. What a relief. I felt like I was just crowned the MVP of the Super Bowl and I was getting to go to Disneyland but I was just as happy to pay $1.00 and get my confirmation letter.
