I spoke to Zoltar and after our conversation, I had complete confidence in this location! I was greeted by Noah and she was already filled in on my "baseball" order and staff already pulled the 6"x6" boxes for me. Nice! I had about a dozen personalized calligraphy baseballs to ship to individual locations. And I was using a colleague's credit card. None of this phased Noah! If I have to get a passport photo that I have to live with for the next ten years why are you shooting it on a Nikon Cool Pix from 2006? I seriously looked like a serial killer. $20 bucks later, and a grimace on my faca as I walked out... I reluctantly called the AAA where they had a real DSLR and charged me $5 less. As a photographer I was taken aback. so - One photographer to a business that has a small photographic business within; Take a little pride in what you offer, even if it's a dumb passport photo. The kid was nice but should have reshot the one picture he took of me before printing, spending 8 minutes cutting out and charging me... expecting me to have to live with it for a decade. Also your camera isn't worth the $20 you now have of mine. Please upgrade for the love of every person in need of a new passport photo. read more

I dealt with the manager Jesse. All in all it was a pretty neat experience. He made me some copies and notorized them then got them shipped out all at once. I told him I was visiting friends in South America and his employee, Damien got me set up with passport photos and a mailbox for my packages and mail while I'm away. Customer service very disappointing!! My package was lost no matter the tracking shows that this package was delivered. Nobody knew where is my package. In the store they did not help me to put a claim. They said that they are only a franchise and do not help customers with claims. Called 1-800 to customer service and they told me that the store should help me with the claims. At the end I put my claim in the UPS webpage. Really I do not recommend this store. Worst experience ever and the dumbest employees I have ever seen. After being charged an additional $75 for extra handling they failed to deliver the package because they claimed the suite # wasn't on the label when it was printed clearly and had the exact same address as the other package that did make it . Not only did they fail to send it but it sat in the store for a week without letting me know. Then to top it off they said I had to dispute it with UPS to get my $220 back and that the UPS store is not connected to UPS and then charged me $350 more to reship it. I truly felt scammed and really can't believe how ignorant the staff was and just want people to know to avoid such a horrible business. You can print labels and drop off packages at the store so you don't have to rely on the dumb ass staff and it is much cheaper too, or just use Fed Ex . Do yourself a favor and just go to the main UPS hub nearby to ship, especially if your package is ready to go and even more so if you have an account. This store does not take ups business accounts anymore so expect to pay a premium and lose your business discount. Also when they measured they add 2 to 3 inches on each of the 3 box measurements, which increase the size significantly and your cost. When asked about the measurement the associate claimed it was there policy to add inches. read more

Usually the staff here is friendly, but the woman working this morning was extremely rude and condescending. I do a lot of business here and they recently changed something and she spoke to me as if I was a stupid child. She needs some training on how to speak to people appropriately in a customer service role. read more

I seldom use shipping stores, preferring to do things myself or use the US Postal Service, but on a travel day found this store to be extremely helpful, efficient, and an excellent pricing option. Matt was really helpful, knowledgable, and quick to work on my task, which was to mail a heavy item in lieu of taking it home as a piece of luggage. He gave me options and simply knew his gig, which was so comforting on a rushed morning. If you need something notarized while in downtown Boise do not go to 1775 W State Street. If you have 6 x initials and 4x signature they charge 50$ even though it only required 4 notary stamps. When calling other UPS it would have been 20$. 5$ for each notary stamp. Do not get ripped off like I did. read more

Do NOT ever use the UPS store on State Street in Boise to take passport photos. They did a completely incompetent job. I took the photos to my passport appointment at the Recorder's office and they were rejected for being too dark and the wrong size. I had to pay another $23 to retake the photos on the spot in order to keep my appointment. Came back a few days later to UPS to try to get my money back and they refused to do so. read more

Love this UPS Store! Have been a customer for 7 years. I use it every day for a Mailbox. Kayla is an awsome general manager, everyone is well trained, engaged, no idling. The staff is always friendly and attentive, know me by my name. Even when I have a ton of packages to pick up or to return, they are always patient, respectful and helpful. If I ever was missing a package, they would call me with the updates. Also, had a couple of print jobs there, and the graphic guy was tweaking it until I was happy. I don't necessarily want the store to get any busier, :-) but I do recommend this location. read more

Do not use this store unless you really don't need your package to actually ship. We had an item that had to arrive the next day, but they shipped it ground. "Oops, my bad," was the response. The next day we took another item that had to arrive the next day, and after multiple assurances, they sent it USPS 2-day!! Argh!! Terrible. read more

Bought a small frig to store insulin until main frig repaired. Insulin HAS to be refrigerated. Had UPS ship it. Had this side up, Fragile, all over box. Open box and glass fell off top. Opened door and every bit of glass in frig (all the shelves) were shattered. OBVIOUSLY not shipped with any care. ( had to upside down (otherwise how did the glass get in the top of the box? Thankfully,the place we bought it from is replacing it and sending a replacement FEDEX overnight for free and letting us keep the old one. Spent the last three hours cleaning glass shards off the floor. Also picking glass out of out fingers. Can't begin to say how unhappy I am with UPS read more

The service at this store is terrible The manager, Sami, is useless. Sent a package from this store, but evidently the UPS driver lost my package because he delivered it to wrong address (Tracking indicated he had delivered it , but clearly he did not). I guess reading numbers isn't part of his skill set. Thanks to some help from the local USPS postmaster, who happens to know the UPS folks, she got them to search for and find the misdirected package. I was very anxious about this since it had important documents. I called the UPS Store manager Sami and told her the story. I asked why I should have to pay for such poor performance. She said she agreed and that she would file a claim for refund of my payment. Never heard back from her and finally called the store after a week. Her staffer said since package wasn't lost in the end, no refund is justified. I reminded them, that if not for the extraordinary effort on the part of myself and the local US postmaster it would have been lost (residents in the town are mostly part time, so the illiterate driver probably delivered package to a vacant house). Stay away from this store and UPS altogether. Unhelpful, discourteous and useless! read more

At 8:00 this morning, a single female employee was overwhelmed at the long line of customers waiting to ship many, many Christmas packages and boxes. I saw three customers leave after waiting 10 minutes because of the burdon on that single employee. The manager of this branch should be ashamed at leaving his employee facing this sort of crowd - and ultimately fired. Absolutely deplorable lack of leadership! She tried the best she could to give out greetings and friendly attention, but she was getting crushed. At this point, as the sole employee of a super busy retail store, all you can do is treat to customers like cattle. She is a minimum wage employee and should have been backed up by her leadership - who was probably conveniently off-site, relaxing with a cup of coffee and watching the Dow Jones opening numbers. Shameful act! She deserves a $1000 combat pay bonus. read more

I needed to return a package to a vendor I bought from on Amazon. My husband dropped it off at the State Street UPS store where he went to have some papers shredded. He brought me the drop-off receipt. I remained in contact with the vendor who told me that the package was never sent. I started tracking it and, about a month later, it became obvious that it never left the store where it was dropped off. I emailed to inquire about the status and received no reply. I called to inquire and was told that it was Amazon's fault and I should talk to them. I kept attempting to track the package but the status never changed. Then, a few days ago, the status DID change. It said the package had never been dropped off at their store. I still have the receipt that says it was. There are several UPS stores in the Boise area. Use any except the one on State Street! read more

I have shipped through this UPS Store MANY times over the years and previously they did an exceptional job. However on 12/29 at 8:20am I shipped a package two-day and it arrived 1/3 at 2:17pm. My calculations say that's four and a half days. I shipped my package with Alan who was very attentive to the shipping process. He however did not inform me there would be no deliveries on both Sunday (1/1) and Monday (1/2). With all the holiday and weather concerns I am completely understanding for the shipment being delayed but I was not explained there would be a two and a half day delay with deliveries. I feel as though I could have used standard Ground shipping (saved quite a bit of money) and my package would have gotten there in the same time...or there abouts. I spoke to Pauline who I was told was the store manager and she said there was nothing they can do for a credit because two day shipments were not guarantied. I explained the entire story about how my package was delivered two times longer that expected, but received nothing other than an "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do. You should have read the electronic screen more carefully." I called two days later and Pauline said she spoke to their district manager who said the same thing. I just wanted to write my experience for anyone who wishes to have their packages delivered. THE DELIVERY DATES ARE NOT ACCURATE. I try not to be a complainer, however I don't believe the UPS store is correct. read more

This is the only shipping store I use. No matter the change in ownership at times or name change (MailBoxes, Etc), this is the best place to ship. And, now with CoVID 10 this is one of the only places I go to. They have had best practices for Co-VID safety in place before any other store I know of. And, the best kept secret, they have the best, really the best, greeting cards. I often spend more on cards than shipping, and shipping is expensive. read more

Having received my package, I left the store, but forgot my wallet on the counter. When I returned, he handed me my "lost" wallet, which had valuable contents undisturbed. They were more interested about discussing the life history of whoever was in front of them while the other two employees in the back just kept staring at the growing line of customers. This particular UPS store charged us a dollar a page to scan and email a document. That came to $18. later that same day we went to a different UPS store and they told us that it was a flat rate of $4.95 to scan any size document. we went back to the State Street store and asked if we were mis-charged and they said we don't make up the pricing the owner does and that's what it costs. Others have had little good to say about this location. I have a different view. I work (and now live) just a few blocks up the street from this location. Over the last few years I've stopped in here and there, to drop off packages- usually ones where the box and labels have been provided for me, so it's been just a 'step in/drop off/leave' thing. This last time was more involved. I had a hard document of I absolutely needed scanned to a digital file so I could email it. It wasn't something I could do atwork, and since we were in the middle of getting ready to move, my personal scanner/printer had been shut down and packed. On a whim I looked up this UPS store location. I was able to email them to see if what I needed could even be done. I got a very fast reply telling me that it could, and inviting me to stop in. I was able to get there on my lunch hour. I was able to hand over the document. It was scanned, emailed to me AND put on the flash drive I had brought along in less than 10 minutes, on top of that it only cost me $1.00. I wish I remembered the name of the young lady who helped us. She was very personable, knowledgeable and kind. I am quite thankful to have this UPS store in my neighborhood. read more

I have had the WORST experience with this store in the last two weeks. Every week, my boyfriend and I make copies with your store. And in the past, we have had a solid experience. However these last two week both of our orders have been messed up. Last week, we needed 90 copies and 300 were printed. This week I needed 60 copies and was charged for 90. We were still over charged last week because the person who helped us couldn't bother to get a calculator out to make sure we were charged the right amount. Today was the same. When I told her I thought I was being over charged, she checked the computer and said it was right. However when I went back to my car and counted the copies, there was only the correct number of copies (60) even though the paper said 90. Both these times Debbie has printed our order. This is seriously frustrating. I don't want to have to count my copies while I'm checking out at your register. We will be taking our business elsewhere as your employees couldn't even bother to apologize for their mistakes. read more
