I put a letter in my mailbox on Thursday, 06/18/26 at 09:30, morning, with a check to pay for a magazine subscription. At 7:30 Thursday evening the postal service had not been by my mailbox and the letter with my payment was still in my mailbox. No pickup Thursday. On Friday, at 6:45 pm, the letter with payment is still in my mailbox and no postal service has been here to pickup or deliver Friday, 06/19/26. I must have missed the letter from the Eagle Post Office that told me they no longer making deliveries or pickup at my address. Not happy. I have been going to the Eagle Idaho post office located on Palmetto Street for more than twelve years, since 2012 when we moved here to Eagle, Idaho. Over the years, I have dealt with postal workers there hundreds of time, and I often mailed things almost on a daily basis. The Eagle Idaho post office workers are some of the best postal workers that I have ever encountered in my 65 years. They are extremely efficient, friendly, and competent. I have never been treated poorly by any of them. As a person with a small business, the post office workers make my business more efficient and successful. Ryan, Javier, and others are fantastic employees. They are quick but yet pleasant to work with and they seem to all be hard-working. Getting rid of the post office to allow privately paid companies to deliver our mail would be a huge mistake. Small businesses through out the country rely on the post office every day. They make it possible for people living in rural areas to send and receive letters and packages for an affordable rate. If the government privatizes this service, I can guarantee that voting by mail will be eliminated and small businesses through out the country will be hurt. read more

I know a lot of people complain aboutt the government and especially the US Post Office. Well here in Eagle, Idaho I have nothing but complements for the staff and the delivery people in this area. Every time I have had to go into the Post Office and apeak with the staff they have been incredibly helpful and friendly. Even the carriers who deliver to our neighborhood are very nice, polite, and helpful. I don't know her name, but the lady whoo delivers to our neighborhood is so nice. I have been calling nonstop for two days and no one picks up the phone. It rings for almost 4 minutes and it becomes a busy signal. This is a government agency and n ed to have consideration for its costumers. Package has been lost since the 27th and can't get anyone to help. Snow is not helping, otherwise I would go in. Make sure that you time it right at this post office location. Busy in the mornings. Sometimes you have no other choice (see photo), but if you do, be wise. The good news is they are still cheaper than ups and fedex while being reliable. Having used the Eagle PO for four years now, I share perspective of 4 star review. Service at this PO from the folks at the counters is top notch on the rare occasions I've needed to go in. It would be 5 stars for that were it not for the fact that as to the delivery folks, we and our neighbors all have had multiple pieces of mail and packages delivered to wrong addresses or go missing for extended periods of time. On that part, I hope they'll try to improve. But the people at the counter are friendly to work with and work quickly enough that lines move pretty fast. As evidence of that, I was in multiple times in December to mail boxes and even with "Ho-Ho-Holiday" lines, things moved at a brisk clip. read more

Downtown Borah St. Post Office, BOISE, ID.. has worst customer service. 7 people in line only two workers. One of them left after she served 2 people. The other one moved at a snail's pace (Betty) is the name on her tag. She was helping with someone certified mail and was taking her time. She seemed to be enjoying the fact that there were 8 people in line waiting for her while she took her time- I've never seen anyone move so slow..... 4 people left the building without being served. I stood in line about 20 minutes and finally just gave her a post marked package. She was very passive aggressive had no intention of moving at a normal pace seemed to enjoy making people wait instead of helping them... closest to the worst customer service I have received... oh wait... there was no customer service...... read more

My experience at this PO was absolutely terrible. I usually go to the one on Main St in Meridian, but because I was in the area, I thought why not! It's safe to say I won't be back. Very rude and unprofessional staff. After being hung up on by a staff member in the middle of my sentence, I called back and finally spoke to manager by the name of Martin, whom was even more unprofessional. As I simply inquired about the behavior of the previous 4 Hang-Ups, he denied it ever happened. I explained I had record on my phone displaying it. He rudely asked what I wanted him to do and proceeded to tell me I was wasting his time. Very unprofessional staff, they clearly have never had a class in what customer service is or how to treat people. To allow this behavior at a management level says alot about a company.Its just sad. I wish I read all of the other negative reviews that reflect my same experience. I would have avoided the frustration and this awful post office location altogether. You have to remember that this post office was built 20 years ago in the late 1990s when there were about 10,000 people living here. Now that number is estimated at over 25,000 - in addition to northwest Boise's and Star's growth. Sure, they could definitely use another station of two - particularly during the holidays - and the parking lot is not conducive to peak visit times, but the current staff are friendly, professional, and trying to keep customers flowing best they can. read more
