The only time I really hit up the post office is during the holiday season. You would think as many people come to drop off packages and get stamps that these postal workers would be annoyed or grumpy. I have come all hours of the day and they are always nice! Came in for my yearly Christmas stamps today. The postal worker got me my goods and sent me on my merry way. There was a line formed by the front door and the 2 workers handled it like bosses. If I ever move, I probably would drive clear across town just to use this office. They are really nice and I appreciate their hard work during this chaotic time of year.

Without fail on Saturday, I get that email and then none of that mail shows up until Monday along with all of Monday's mail. Once I did not get a letter for two weeks after the picture was emailed to me. It was a disbursement check. When it finally showed up, it was in my scan of pictures again for the day it was delivered. I spoke to the post office. She had misdelivered it and so it had to go back through. Another time I had something that had to be signed for. She left the notice on my door. I signed it and put it in my mailbox the next morning so she would deliver it in a couple of days and forgot about it. Then I left town and was gone for 10 days. TWO WEEKS AFTER I got back I got a reminder notice and it said to come pick it up at the post office. I went right down only to find out the thing that I needed to sign was from the INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE. WTF? I filed a complaint and wanted to speak to a supervisor. They took my number and said someone would call me. That was a couple of months ago now. Still no call from anyone. Still no Saturday mail. Now today, I am currently on hold to speak to someone from USPS. I had a package that was to be delivered yesterday. Showed up on my email but was never delivered. I went into my dashboard to see where it was. Went out for delivery, but was never delivered. Now it says I have to go pick it up. Again, WTF?!?!?!?! Did I mention my mail lady sucks? JUST DO YOUR DAMN JOB! And just in case you think I am just a disgruntled person who hates the postal service? My husband works for the postal service. He is a mailman. Even he says this is BS.

This is not a place that you can expect to get a package sent before work or during lunch unless you have an extra 45 minutes to spare. The first time I went I waited about 30 minutes until I was helped, and then turned away because my box wasn't taped. I assumed the post office would have tape or let me pay for them to tape it, or have tape for me to buy and I asked. The guy had no solutions and told me you have to come back with a taped box. Ridiculous. So I returned a couple of days later with the taped box, and not many cars were in the parking lot. I was like, ok, I should be able to do this before getting to my class. There were three people ahead of me and I stood in line for 20 minutes and I ended up leaving because the line literally did not move and they were still helping the same customer from when I arrived . I would understand if they were sending off multiple boxes, dealing with problems, or whatever, but these were pretty basic transactions and typical mailings of one package. The workers here are incredibly slow. I mean painfully and ridiculously slow. To the point it seems purposeful. On top of that, my interactions with the employees were not pleasant. They don't smile, and act like you are a bother, even though they are literally the reason they have lines. Observations from my visits (came to about a total of an hour and 15 minutes in wait time to get this once package sent over my 3 visits): A man asked for his mail that was forwarded to the post office and it took the lady (dirty blonde, maybe 50's-60's) literally 15 minutes until she came back out. I also watched the same lady reading a label for 5 minutes before she helped a customer. She didn't even do anything with it. Just decided to act like she was doing something I guess so she could rest some more before her next customer. When I was being helped finally, all they had to do was scan the barcode and take the box, print and put on the label and give me a receipt. The lady started trying to peel a sticker off my box and took about 2 minutes doing this while I just stood there like what the hell? She finally gave up on the sticker before finally deciding to hand me my receipt, mind you a line of 10 had formed behind me at this point. Zero urgency. God, this place sucks.
