I really enjoy going to this post office because they have the self service kiosk and the parking lot is always easy to get in and out of. I haven't had to actually go in and physically had to speak to someone yet so I can't speak on the customer service here. The place is always clean and so is the parking lot. It's obviously the same standard price for shipping as any post office but I did notice the one downtown will charge an additional fee for a birthday card to be self scanned and didn't like that. So on top of my postage I had to pay an additional fee at the downtown location. read more

Open 10am-1pm on Saturdays if it's a challenge for you to make it in during the week. Very helpful staff: I was mailing some packages and also handed him a stack of mail that was already stamped. He felt the staple that was in them and said they were non-machinable and would require extra postage. I'm glad he caught that because all my Valentines would have been sent back and not have made it to their destinations on time. read more

The customer service is absolutely awful. I've been trying to get the key for the box of the house I am renting and just moved into to be able to get my mail. However, the post office refuses to give me or my property manager a key to the box. When my property manager goes to get it they tell her it has to be me and when I go in to get it, they tell me it has to be her, every time I confront them about this they say they don't know what I'm talking about and every time I call to try to talk to somebody I either get hung up on, wait on hold for 20 minutes then get hung up on, or it just rings and rings, endlessly until it gets disconnected. why is it so hard to get access to something that I have a right too? read more

I have visited this post office several times. Each time the staff was pleasant and we even laughed with each other. The location is in a good area and the drive up mailbox is an easy out. Turning left out of the parking lot can be a challenge during peak times, but overall and easy in and out. In the lobby there is an automated machine for stamps or to mail a package-- two actually, and they are much more convenient than waiting in line whenever possible. read more

Indigo and I go to this post office quite a bit to mail Christmas presents, and care packages to my kid sister who's in college etc. We have never had a bad experience here, they're quite helpful so I'm not sure why this place has negative reviews. I guess it depends on what you're there for. Greg is correct, left is precarious. They are especially kind to Indigo which I always appreciate. Freddy and I used to frequent this post office often. We mail postcards, care packages to our friends in the foreign legion, and the occasional sack of oats for Miley; our pet goat at our farm out in the hinterland. Manny and Josh never care to enter so we just belt them into the bed of the old truck and with reassuring pats on the noggin, go into the post office to chat with Wally or Bertha. They both have so many funny antidotes; like when the little old man tried so hard to stuff a kitten he wanted to return to the pet store through that skinny teeny tiny little mail slot. I've been to many many many post offices in my life and the mere thought of visiting this location kills my existence before I leave the house! Every time I visit I beg and pray for a normal experience but I'm always sadly disappointed. For the record, I don't hate the employees here by any stretch. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and that moving without a sense of urgency must in their training manual. I mean seriously, no one in their right mind exercising free thought would think it's a perfectly acceptable idea to move at the speed of nothing. I do everything I can to avoid this place and that includes driving 20 minutes out of my way to mail a package. I sell some items online & I actually like that this is close & can drop my prepaid package anytime with their automated mail drop box. I can't say good thing much on what's happening inside though during the day, but with my experience it gets too crowded & busy in there. Sometimes they only have one person that does it all but most of time there are two. This is a good location I guess so people are flocking, it just by Five mile & overland so it's very accessible! read more

This Post Office branch is a fine example of why the USPS is bleeding money. I had a concern with a shipment. After waiting 40 minutes in a line of 17 people, I went up to the window and provided my shipping receipt to the lady. She literally rolled her eyes, huffed and told me she would be right back. She came back and told me all the things she wouldn't do for me. No offer to help, no empathy. She clearly needs to get a job that doesn't deal with the public. She told me to go the wood door and a manager would come out. After a 5 minute wait, the manager came to the door and proceeded to belittle me and insinuate that I was stupid in front of everyone in the lobby. He kept telling me "you people". Wow, I am sure he will get a promotion for this. This was on the day that the Wall Street Journal ran an article that the PO has announced a slow down of delivery times on first class packages. I had two packages in my car that I was planning on mailing from the kiosk. I instead, drove around the corner to the UPS store and found that for about $2 more, it is overnight delivery from Boise to SLC - no extra charge. I will never send any package via USPS again! Drove to my bank to make a payment today rather than mail it. read more

This post office is the closest one to me, so I am there fairly often. The staff is friendly and they do the best they can (I think). Anyway, the thing that bothers me the most is the long line for service. Rarely do I see fewer than 4 or 5 in line. And forget using this PO for holiday mailing. The line is always out the door. I have considered mailing more packages here, but when I think of the long line I decide to mail by UPS which is a few blocks away from here. So if you are limited by time, avoid this PO. read more

iI have been in line before at this place with a huge long line out the door and they will just up and close 2 attendants leaving only one. Not sure how this makes sense? Expect to get slow service on peak hours, but I seem to find that 3:30pm good time to go. Some attendants are friendly and some not so much. read more

When I came home today, I found a package for me thrown on the ground in front of the mailbox on the street. It was too large for the mailbox so instead of driving up to the house and putting it in front of the door he or she just threw it on the ground.
