I went here to get fingerprinted for a job that I recently applied for. They were so helpful. I was having difficulty with the machine and we called the company to help with properly scanning my fingerprints. Previously, I had been at another UPS store on Riverside and I had difficulty with their machine and nobody wanted to help me. Instead they told me to leave and come back another day. It was disappointing because I was getting fingerprinted for a job and needed it to get done soon. I wanted to write this review specifically because the person at this store didn't turn me away when the machine wasn't working. I've used this UPS store for three years and counting, including for Amazon returns, notary services, and shipping services. I've consistently had a positive experience going to this store. The owner is professional, friendly, and customer oriented! She always asked me how my day is going and seems to genuinely care about delivering a great customer experience. They also added a self-service kiosk to expedite the process, so it's awesome to see how they're constantly finding ways to improve their business. As far as the negative reviews here, I read through them and most of them seem directed at one or two low performing employees who are no longer at the store. When you say I'm sorry you feel that way, you completely dodged the fact that I was treated differently than the other costumer doing the same thing I was doing. Blue hair girl was not humble and she was not polite. The woman with long brown hair and the gentleman can both be described that way though. You not apologizing for how i was treated by your worker is you not accepting responsibility for my poor experience. I will never return to your store. This store is clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and (best of all) I can get there on foot in a few minutes from my house! Almost nothing is nearby in this part of town, so it's FANTASTIC to have this resource so close by for my Amazon returns and the occasional shipment of gifts to friends. This store was so rude. My daughter asked how much did it cost to use their computer he gave us a price and my daughter was like that is expensive. He went on to say well you can go buy a 700 dollar computer and print anything you want. I looked at him and told him he was rude and he said no just honest. We walked out. I've had a mailbox here for over a year, and if it were not for the misdelivered mail I would give them 5 stars. Whoever this Stephanie chick is - she either needs to quit giving out my address or update her info if this used to be her box. Mike is always very nice to me, so I don't have the issues some of the others have - at least not anymore. Ah, it looks like whoever responded to this review didn't even read it thoroughly, and is blatantly lying about the situation now. As I stated, I never got the parcels scanned. The fact that you're stating this is actually a falsehood, and a very big reason I requested that we checked what actually happened to them via 2 CCTV pointed at the counter. I have the tracking numbers supplied by Vivid Seats, and I have been checking them daily and has still shown no update. I've incurred $4,000 in total losses due to this store. Additionally, I've followed up with the customer service number I was advised to contact the same day and they told me that if they didn't get an arrival scan, they never scanned at the store and they didn't receive them. This is a failure on your end and you need to own up to it. read more

I have rented the mailbox 154 since February of 2018, and I have always had above average service from Mike and his associates. I recently moved to Galveston, so I had to close my mailbox. The manager/Owner Mike was assisting me on 2 amazon returns. I had an extra box and I asked him if he can re-use it or dispose of it, he very rudely told me to take it home and throw it away. He was very rude and unkind and told me not to ever come back yo his store because I told him that his customer service was not so good due to his tone and responses. Now Im worried that Mike is going to tamper with my return as retaliation so I publicly want to say if my return to amazon gets lost or is never received is because the owner of this store did it on purpose. I will track my return and post any updates here. And if you look at the negative reviews most of them are about how Mike the owner is a very rude person with his customers. And yes I left the bog there because I think re-using the box can help someone, it helps the environment and also will not make the store owner less rich for re-using that box instead of charging someone $8.00 for a new box. read more

So nice! I had an Amazon return for a baby pack-n-play that had come in broken. I had all the pieces but couldn't get all the parts to fit correctly back in the box. BEWARE of junk fees! There is a new owner of this business and to rent a postal box for one year the quoted price is $339, same as the other UPS stores in the Austin area. However that quoted price at this store is a lie! I discovered that I must pay and aditional $130 in junk fees. This includes setup fee, deposit, and other junk fees. The fees were not disclosed until my credit card was charged, whereupon I asked why the mailbox rental fee was $469 instead of $339. I resent being fleeced like this. This particular ups store gets one star for being open. They didn't give any other indication through their service that they were interested in my business. I approached the counter when it was my turn, asking for help in returning two items from Amazon that were untouched and in thier original packaging. They refused to accept the two packages unless I bought a box or a roll of tape. Amazon chose the original packaging and made the delivery just fine. It seemed somewhat awry, that this same packaging was somehow inadequate. Instead of receiving me with warmth and goodwill, they were unhelpful, unkind, abrasive and uninterested in making this return. They thanked me as I fumbled with my packages while trying to leave unaided in the return, and unaided in my departure. Spend your money and your brain space with an establishment who appreciates their clientele. This store isn't that. Response: Mike, that would respond without any interaction with me, proves my point exactly. The QR code's were correct and it was Daina who would not listen to neither me, nor Amazon. I have been a loyal UPS Store customer at this Wells Branch location since I moved to Austin almost two years ago. Even now that I live almost 30 minutes from this location - I still renewed my box for another 6 months because of Mike and Monica's genuine customer service. I was a UPS customer in Dallas for over a year and never once did the owner greet me by my name each and every time I walked in. There was one point where I was changing over jobs in the middle of renewal and Mike was very understanding and allowed me to push out my payment date. They're never annoyed when I call them asking to make arrangements to pick up my package after hours (which I do frequently bc of my work schedule) AND they're never annoyed when I call and ask "I just got an email. Where'd the package come from?" (: It's the little things that matter and I am VERY happy with the service at UPS Store. Thank you, Mike! read more

I been going to this location for 3 years now, Mike and the girls are great. Sometime I only have 1 piece of paper to fax and they treat it like it is very important. I wish I could give this store a ZERO rating! The first time I came here, I had a box that just needed to be taped. When I walked into the store, there were other customers there that were being helped. Mike, the store owner asked if I had a drop off. I said yes, it already has the label and it just needs to be taped. He said "Ok, just leave it on the counter." I thought "Uh.. I'm not going to just leave a box of items open on your counter and leave the store.." So I politely told him that I would wait and I'd like to tape it up myself. In a rude and annoyed tone, he said "Fine! You want to tape it up yourself, then you BUY the tape!" What was the big deal if I taped up the box myself? So I walked out and left.. Today, I had to mail a package via USPS and since this place is the closest to my house, I thought "Fine, I'll just go back here for the convenience." Horrible idea!! So I'm mailing out a shirt in a small yellow padded envelope. They quoted me almost $7 to ship this light weight package. The girl printed out the label as media mail. The other girl started talking to her in a different language and then Mike, the jerk owner that I dealt with the time before started yelling at the female employee. "Media mail is only for books and paper!! You can't use that option!! You already printed out the label and now you've wasted me money because of your mistake! You owe me $10!" This was all happening at the counter while I was standing there. So Mike gets on the computer and quotes me $11 for USPS or $13 for UPS. You're clearly money hungry and ripping people off! $11 to ship a t-shirt?!?! So I walk out yet again and drive to my office which has a USPS kiosk that weighs your item and prints out the shipping label. How much did I pay, you ask? $3 for USPS First Class!! Way more reasonable than $11!! I hope you avoid wasting your time and money by avoiding this place at all costs. I arrived at 3:58 on a Saturday to send 2 packages via UPS. They are supposedly open until 4:00. I was told "Sorry, my register is already closed because it's 4:00," to which I replied, "actually, no, it's not 4:00." She says "Well it's 3:58 and the owner tells me to close the register at 3:55." Clearly saving 5 minutes of labor ($1?) is worth losing a customer. read more
