This is my local UPS store, #0393, and has for the past year also been my post office box home. After a rash of porch pirates terrorized my neighborhood, I was no longer willing to deal with the risk of my home's USPS mailbox being subject to sticky fingers. As a mailbox customer, I have a door code, so I can come in 24/7 to grab my mail when it's convenient for me. The peace of mind knowing that my mail & packages are locked safely away until I can claim them is well-worth the monthly fee. I get a text message anytime they receive a package for me. I can also call in to check if I've received any mail before I stop by - love that! Since I'm in here at least a couple times per week (timed with my HEB run in the same shopping center), all the sweet staff know me and my family by name. It is refreshing and charming to have such a personalized experience in this modern day & age. They do more than take care of mail, too. We recently needed some documents notarized and were able to just take care of that while we came in to pickup the mail. read more

Theft in broad daylight. Really sorry for this store. Today I went to return amazon , one of the package need print label. I sent to their emails and she printed in paper and charged me almost $4 ($3.51)!!!! I said cancel that because another store in wells branch didn't charge me and printed in sticker paper. But she said me we are franchise store, each one has their policy" she didn't cancel and said me it's processing and I couldn't cancel it. This is really roberry. I never never back to this store. I understand that last minute customers can be frustrating and that we're all just trying to get home but as a Manager of my own store, I am big on customer service and closing the doors early. It was 7:00pm when I showed up to the store to drop off a package and the ladies in the photo looked at me as I was showing them the time on my phone and completely ignored me (time stamp in photo) . This situation for my delivery of a check has been extremely frustrating. When I was provided the tracking number, I went online, called customer service and also went into the store and no one could assist me with the tracking of the check. When I went into the store I was already frustrated, however, still very polite and professional, and I was dealing with Catherine, who seemed unbothered With my situation didn't even offer to help as far as getting customer service on the phone since she stated that there's nothing that they can do. She could have at least tried to do something to fix my situation. Came in to this UPS store to do an Amazon return and the woman at the counter was incredibly rude. I had to fully unbox my product and throw the device, wires, and instructions loosely into a clear plastic bag. I even had to tie the bag closed myself before I handed it to her to be labeled/accepted. Recently came in to return my UVerse receiver and remote and the staff here were super helpful in explaining the process and knew exactly what I needed the minute I walked in. One of the other staff was helping another customer and a lady came out from the back immediately when she saw me waiting to help me. They were quick, professional and very helpful in getting everything squared away, especially when informing me to hang on to my receipt for at least 6mos as proof of return. The is an awful UPS store in Austin. Zero customer service and zero attempt at being kind people. These individuals refused to assist in mailing two prepaid boxes. They refused to even scan the barcode so they had information about the shipment. I even had someone send me scanned versions of the labels and they still refused to assist me. I never understand turning away paying customers. Got there at 630, they close at 700. Needed a one page document notarized - 5 minutes tops. I had to send a medium sized box (a laptop with backpack-style laptop bag) to another state. I stopped at UPS first, to get a price. I was greeted by a somewhat sullen young man with a trainee badge on. I told him I would like to find out how much it would cost me to send the aforementioned box to the address conspicuously taped to the top of it. Instead of just weighing the package and giving me a price, he pushes a form at me, and immediately asks for my phone number. Now, I am very stingy with my phone number. The last thing I want is my cell number getting sales calls because it ended up in some marketing database. I give him a sidelong glance and say "I just want to know how much it will cost to send this box, why do you need my phone number?" He gives me a sour look and mumbles "It's just to see if you are in the system" (which I know for a fact I am not). It's obvious that he is not going to continue and give me my quote unless he gets the number, so I rattle off seven digits. He then asks if it is 512 area code (if not, would I have not given him the area code?). I begin slowly filling out the paper, already suspecting that in a moment it will become a moot point. He verifies this by rattling off the first price for the next day by noon, which is close to half what we paid for the laptop. The next-day-by-close-of-business was not any more impressive. He starts with the next one when I interrupt him. "How much is it just for ground?" "That is the very last one, it's the cheapest" he says, as if I am some kind of cheapskate because I want the least expensive method and have forced him to terminate his sales pitch prematurely. He then gives me a quote for over thirty five dollars. I cringe and push the partially filled out (and now wasted) form back at him and pull the box back into my arms. "I think I am going to go see how much FedEx charges." I don't mail packages often, but that seemed too expensive for the size/weight to me. As it turns out, FedEx shipped it for a less than twenty five bucks AND said it would be there by Friday (it was delivered Friday morning). But the real kicker here was the attitude. All I wanted (originally) was a quote, not to be dragged halfway through a transaction that (as it turns out) was never meant to be. I have never had to give my phone number to mail anything before. I have never had to fill out a form just to get a package weighed and get a quote for how much it will cost. I normally deal with the US post office so maybe I expect something a little closer to customer service rather than someone just ASSUMING that asking for a price quote means they are going to get my business. I have never really been impressed with UPS and their idea of customer service. From past experiences including dumping packages on the stoop to get rained on, leaving packages for other people's addresses not even CLOSE to mine on a Friday - then REFUSING to come pick them up until after an entire weekend (what, do I run free storage facilities now for their FOR PROFIT freight? I think not!). And if you have ever had a damage claim with them? Nightmare city! This was just the icing on the 'avoid UPS' cake, for me. One star - only because you can't rate NO stars. read more

I only drop off at at this location, but more then once I came 5-10 mintues before closing just to drop off, and they were already closed !!!! Don't trust their "store hours" apparently if an employee needs to leave early, they'll just close up. I would advise to either call first or try another location all together. read more

Do NOT send anything important from this location. It is the WORST!!!! Had a package sent from this location. Tracking number is on the receipt, but USPS does not recognize the tracking number.......or, it was never given to USPS. I know that USPS scans their first class envelopes when they pick them up and it has been 2 days since this package was supposed to have bee sent.(It was 2 day delivery) No tracking date found.....hmmmm. Bad service! I should have heeded the previous reviews. But since it's close, I Thought I'd try it. AWFUL! I had small package prepaid to send. They wouldn't accept it unless it was UPS packaging! Really? This is ridiculous. So they wanted to sell me an envelope for $5! Nope! I bought packaging at HEB (Same Center) and paid 89¢. Then, they wouldn't accept it because it wasn't 200% taped! They were v happy to try to sell me a roll of tape for over $5. But... luckily I keep tape in my car and used it. NEVER USE THIS UPS LOCATION! Either go to FedEx right across Parmer Lane, or use a different UPS store. Wow, common courtesy at a packaging place is a foreign concept to these people. read more

Lol I had a package delivered here and they held it hostage until I gave them $10. I had a previous package delivered there and didn't have to pay the fee. They said it had to do with how UPS reimburses them and I had the option to reject the package, but I thought it was silly they wouldn't make an exception to this policy. What looked even more sketch was that they wrote '$10 fee' with a pen on my package. Will never have something delivered to this store again. read more

I skipped ordering online because I was in a hurry and you can walk in, swipe your card, and use a kiosk to do some quick printing - I was in and out in just a few minutes with exactly what I needed. If you happen to receive assistance from a woman with short grey hair... brace yourself. This is rudeness on a whole new level. I walked in with a smile and a hello, she returned "What do you need?" I started to explain that I just needed to ship out a package but before I could finish my sentence I was cut off with a curt "Put the box on the scale". I hesitated for a fraction of a second mainly because I wasn't expecting to be interrupted and before I could grab the box I received a much louder command "PUT THE BOX ON THE SCALE!" I am not sure what happened to this person to make her so depleted of patience but she was determined to take it out on the customers that give her company business. She snatched the box and started walking to the back and I informed her of how rude she was, she spat a sarcastic "Sorry!" as she turned the corner. I hope her day got better :) read more

I came to this UPS location to return a package and check to see if my shipping label should be printed. It turns out that I did have to print it from their computer and printer. They charge for timed use of the computer which was fine especially with Joycelyn's customer service. She checked to make sure that everything was going ok and came over to troubleshoot the printer that she found was just out of paper. My sheets finally printed and I placed them on the counter because I had to sort though emails to find another shipping label. While I was doing that Joycelyn came over and got the printed labels off of the table and prepared my package to be shipped. That's great customer service and work ethic as well. I couldn't find the email and went to my car to find it on my phone. I found it in no time and went back in to print it and take it to USPS to be shipped. I experienced another issue with printing, low and behold Joycelyn was there to the rescue again. She asked to see my phone so that she could send it to her email to print. After she took care of that issue she asked if I had the package with me because they handle USPS shipping also. I had no clue that they did that and was preparing myself mentally to spend a lengthy amount of time in the post office. She had already saved me twice now here she is again saving me from a trip and time most of all. We are experiencing difficult times now especially with people's attitudes due to extra protocols that's being used for Covid. This store is a great resource for me. I have a mailbox there, which I think is reasonable in price. The service has always been friendly, and they've been nice enough to let me know if I have items in my mailbox when I call. (That way I don't have to drive over just to check.) On occasion, I also use them for copies, certified mail and shipping. Let me be clear, none of these things are provided at the lowest possible cost. But I'm generally willing to pay for the convenience. While I'm grateful for the postal service, I'm just as happy to avoid the frequent line and bad service at the Post Office. read more

You are really being asked "How much insurance are you going to buy on this package?"
