Everytime I come in there is a young lady that is super friendly and helpful . The last time I was in she casually chatted with me while I was waiting in line . She teaches Pilates and has an upbeat personality. This is the location I bring my amazon returns to and everyone is quick to assist and professional. Sometimes when I come in there is an older gentleman and a younger guy that seem to always be grumpy ( every visit ),and not as quick to help . The worst printing service that I have ever received. Poor quality prints and incompetent staff.

Over the weekend I experience some confusion, sadness, and anger when bringing a return into this UPS location. I have been here several times to print and mail items. In all honesty, the customer service here has always seemed bare minimum in most cases. However, this time around was unacceptable. I walked into the store and saw only one male employee wearing a blue uniform standing away from the counter doing some work. He saw me walk in but didn't acknowledge me in any way or move from his spot to assist me. I could hear conversations coming from the back, so I walked up to the counters and waited patiently to be helped. Another woman walked in behind me about 30 seconds later, and he said hello to her. I found this odd but didn't say anything. After another 30 seconds to a minute of standing there waiting, he walked behind the counters and reached his hand out to the woman behind me in line to help her. The woman behind me then said to him, "she was in line before me" referring to me. He proceeded to stare at me and continued to reach his hand out to her to assist her. I reiterated that I was in line first, but he told her to come. She complied. I stood there in disbelief. I am a black female, and he purposely chose a white female behind me in line to assist. My mind was racing and tried to come up with an explanation for his behavior. I couldn't find one, nor should I have to. Another female employee came out from the back not too long after and assisted me. I asked her why he just behaved that way and she just looked at me and continued scanning my return package. The irony is that the process took less time to complete, and I walked out of there before the woman behind me completed her transaction, even though she started before me. I'm sure that I'm going to get a lot of excuses for why he may have chosen this course of action but I just know how I felt. I felt confused and then angry that this was happening. He didn't even give me an explanation as to why he did this. He just stared at me while ignoring what I said. I would like UPS to respond to this post so that we can discuss next steps about their poor customer service and educating their employees on how to treat customers. read more

I've used this UPS Store location probably 5 or so times since its closer to my office than the Ballston location, which means I'm able to get there before 7 PM closing time easier than the one closer to my home! I mostly process ebay sales, amazon returns, and similar items when I'm here, so it's regularly a pretty painless process. In and out. Out of my experiences, I've had three different people, two employees once, and one employee three times. The one employee I've had three times seems to have had a couple off days when I was in there, and was kind of rude when helping me. The other two were fantastic. I really don't have much bad to say about this place. It is between Courthouse and Clarendon, so it is tough to get parking at times, but what can you do? Your package will at least get from A to B using this location. read more

As a three year box holder, I will not be renewing my box. They make a lot of mistakes with my packages but worse...they continue to employ some super-rude people. Some of the staff is very nice but I'm not willing to deal with outright mean on a repeated basis. Also can't get a straight answer about who is the manager so I doubt he/she cares. If you are pro Second Amendment then forgo this location. Went to go mail back an optic to Optics Planet that was shipped through UPS with a prepaid shipping label. Was told that "you have to go through one of those gun stores". Which is blatantly false. Had 2 employees reiterate the same nonsense and then the store owner was told they don't ship anything fun related. Completely ridiculous situation considering it wasn't an FFL item and was a return to a reputable company who sent a direct UPS shipping label. The staff are rude and blatantly ill informed about their own jobs. read more

So, it's a UPS store. You know what you're getting - a decent place to ship your stuff, in this case gifts to family on the West Coast. But I've found this location to be priced less competitively than other UPS Store locations. I do appreciate that they are staying open on Sundays during the holidays, but man, it is going to cost a few coins to ship anything from this place. Here's a tip for all you kiddies - at this point, the postal service is both faster and cheaper than shipping through UPS. Priority mail packages sent via USPS have arrived in Spokane, WA within 3 days on average. Meanwhile, UPS, which charges me way more, is taking 9 days to get my package there. I can do the shipping math and see that I may not be a UPS customer for much longer. As far as this location, they have great service, good hours, and high prices. If you are fine with getting fleeced on price, you at least will get good service at this location. read more

My partner and I needed some ID photos that were not standard size, and the owner of the store carefully ensured the photo fit all the stringent criteria and hand-cut the photos to the right dimensions. The photos were of great quality too! My partner had tried multiple other places before and they all refused to try. Outstanding customer service! Since Covid 19, I have had all of my prints for my Etsy shop printed at this UPS - which is great because 1. it's walking distance from where I live, 2. it's been OPEN 7 days a week, which has been a life saver, 3. it's cheaper than printing at FedEx, and 4. the staff is super efficient, helpful, and responsive. Special shout-out to Shanice who now knows me by name since I'm in there several times a week (lol) and will even go out of her way to email me directly to let me know my order is ready. read more

I am so happy with this store! I've been using this UPS office since 2009 and have been very pleased ever since. As a steady customer, and even for the one off customers, they will store your addresses and your phone number and make shipping very easy. For the first time this week I shipped some gifts to myself in a hotel across the country and I was super pleased with the wrapping and care that was put into the packaging. The guys are always so nice and pleasant and while the store is sometime busy, there is never a long wait time, even during the December holidays. Shipping normally has surly and difficult staff. Staff here has several virtues rare in both shipping in DC - courtesy and professionalism. Shaunice hooked me up with selling and notary services, did part of the work for me, on a Sunday morning when everyone else was having brunch. The most nightmarish customer service experience I've ever had was with this UPS. I had to attend a business trip to Vancouver, Canada scheduled for the way home from my honeymoon in Hawaii. We asked Jay, the manager, to help us ship luggage from Arlington to Vancouver so that we wouldn't have to lug it with us on our honeymoon. It shipped, and we received it, however, we were charged over $250 extra in brokerage fees and taxes on our own belongings so that they could be "imported" to Canada. It has now been over a month since we lodged our initial complaint and we still don't have any resolution. Through our umpteen calls to various UPS customer service phone lines, it seems that everyone, but Jay at this UPS store, believes our shipment was mishandled and that we should not have been charged the additional fees and taxes. All I can say is buyer beware. read more
