My friends and I went to lunch. We were fortunate to have Taylor as our server. She was the server for my birthday and made it amazing. The food is really good, but service is a major part of the experience. She is excellent at what she does. read more

The cocktail I ordered was delicious. But that's where it kind of ends unfortunately. Came in sat at the bar and the greeting took a few minutes and the exchange was awkward. I felt personally ignored my entire time there. The servers and bartenders were putting on makeup using the bar mirrors at one point. I ordered crab cakes which the sauce was good, but the crab cakes were very sour and mostly bread crumb filler. That was disappointing. I should have just turned around when I saw a plate of drying crusty lamb chops sitting on the host stand as you first walk in the door on display. I'm sure brunch is good here when they're busy but I did not understand where the service standard is. Plenty of mgmt around but seems like they didn't care. read more

Another great service and another great meal. Brett our server was funny, and very knowledgeable and honest. When you go ask for him you will not be disappointed. Thanks Brett for a great experience we will see you again. read more

Union Kitchen never disappoints! I love this location because it is located right on the lake in Towne Lake Boardwalk. The kids have a place to run around when they are done eating and us adults dont feel rushed to hurry up and finish because they can go outside and play and we can actually have eyes on them! The menu has a lot of options to choose from and everything have ordered so far is great every time. The restaurant is pretty big and they have lots of space for larger parties which is nice. Great experience overall. Thank you! read more

UPDATE: Answer to the MANAGER: I'm a chef, so is my mother, and I make risotto all the time, that's why I ordered it!!!! I said that the "so called risotto" was made with some plain rice, and NOT MADE with ARBORIO! You sure missed some classes of text's interpretation! Gee!! With that said, I DO have lots of knowledge!! You forgot to justify the fruit FlLIES that were on our plate, and around us! You should clean your kitchen, the problem is there! Thank you! Server was excellent, but the food didn't meet our expectations at all. I ordered the "so called" risotto, which was a creamy rice, not arborio, which is used to make the real risotto. My husband had the scampi pasta which was overcooked. Other than that, there were lots of flies (not sure if it was drain or fruit ones), they were really small, and it kept bothering us thoughout dinner. Please, the manager should be noticed!!!! read more

Service is great. Location is great. Good ambiance. I was very disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber has so few options that are gluten & dairy free. For brunch, No a la carte sides menu, no fruit, no gluten free pancakes or waffles. I ended up eating fish tacos (corn tortillas) for breakfast. Got a coffee to go, and they served it in a soda cup with a straw. Was kinda difficult to drink it in the car. I probably won't be back. read more

We frequently attend the union kitchen at the town lake location.... However this particular Saturday afternoon we had an amazing experience with Dessalyn not only that her service was great the drinks recommendation were superb. And so was the food. I definitely recommend this place and ask for DESSALYN you will have a great service experience. read more

My first time. The food was delicious. I got fish and chips. For the price I received a lot of food. The service was excellent. Seth was our waiter but several waitresses checked on us. The vibe and ambiance was amazing! read more

Very picturesque view of the lake made outside dining very enjoyable! The food was excellent but slightly pricey! Well worth the price! Great Bloody Mary! read more

Didn't plan on coming here but the other place had a three hour wait...yikes. Am glad I ended up here though. Nice atmosphere next to the lake, nice drinks, and friendly staff. This is a good place to meet up with friends or co-workers, even on a date with the lake and all. The one reason I gave a three and not a four was the pizza that I ordered was just average. I'll be back and order something else to see if the food is better than average. read more

Dessalyn was amazing and had the best service!!! She was great and very timely. Our food was great. We loved it!

Not too bad Union kitchen.. I had the pleasure of witnessing great service and great atmosphere. Now to the rough part... Me and 2 other girlfriends were actually waiting to get into Ambriza but unfortunately there was over an hour wait. So we ordered cocktails and wine while waiting. I decided to try their smoked old fashion. I have to say the smoke old fashion was not very good at all and wondered why it was considered a "smoked" old fashion. I didnt see the bartenders smoke my orange peel or anything when making this timeless drink. Major let down.. Also, my friend ordered the crab cakes.. OVERPRICED. Over $13 for 2 small crab cakes. Myself- I spent over $20 for a mediocre glass of red wine and a weak smoked "old fashion. I would come back for another try of their food. I hear good things. read more

We visited Union Kitchen-Towne Lake this past Sunday for brunch for a friends birthday. We made a reservation prior and were seated promptly. Our waiter recommended the build your own mimosa with the fresh squeezed watermelon juice which was great! We ordered appetizers; hummus, churro donut holes and deviled eggs. They were all really tasty. We all ordered from the brunch menu and our only complaint was the crab cake Beni was a little too fishy. Everything was good- Union bowl, garden omelette, California Beni. Our waiter was a little forgetful and fairly slow but overall was a good experience. read more

A place that knows how to properly take care of their customers. Top notch customer service and it was greatly appreciated. Thank you Manager David and waitress Mary! :-) First time at this location. We've been to Memorial and Kingwood locations and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We came around brunch time and there was no wait yayyyy! We were seated in a booth, atmosphere was calm, no chaos. We ordered the union breakfast and chicken fried chicken( special request, thanks for making that happen chef!) eggs, potatoes and biscuit w/gravy. GRAVY was sooooo delicious! I dipped EVERYTHING in it lol. I placed an order of cinnamon rolls to go and I didn't quite like the texture and flavor so I asked Mary for extra icing to make them not so dry. Mary took my to-go plate to the the managers and I watched as they gathered to do a taste test and further collaborate about this dilemma lol. Love it!! How often do you see a TEAM of managers and staff working together to make sure the food they are producing is QUALITY?????? Manager David came over and told me they would remake it plus he took it off the check AND gave me a $10 coupon. I hate complaining and I explained that to him. His reply: "If customers dont tell us what's wrong then we won't know what to fix." What a BOSS!!!! All managers should model that philosophy. As they are currently working on perfecting their cinnamon rolls, I walked away with a pumpkin cheesecake instead. Muy Deliciosos!!! :-) read more

I would have liked it if the sandwich was like the picture on yelp. The brioche was very tasty but also very thick so it appeared to be a big sandwich. The meat was almost not visable. One shaved slice of ham and one of turkey. It was like the HEB packaged shaved lunchmeat. Basically, a bread sandwich. I think the brioche was grilled but not dipped in egg first. It took an hour to get our meal so I think the kitchen was having problems--Sunday noon. Our server was very nice. read more

DESS, was the most the awesomeness server, there is, she smiled the whole. Wow, she was very attentive, she never forgot anything she appreciated us being there. We were all happy and it was 15 of us no complaints whatsoever, she deserved the number one reward to service. read more

Came in for my birthday dinner and was the perfect ending to a great day. My husband made us a reservation for 7, we were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. Food and drinks came out quickly. Breakdown of meal: Appetizer: baked goat cheese (was warm, gooey and delicious- highly recommend). Entrees: I had the short rib and it was amazing. Did not need a knife, was so tender and was paired with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. My husband had the shrimp and grits and that was delicious as well. Perfect balance of sweet and spice. However I have to say what put this place over the top was being given a birthday card signed by the staff and the complimentary beignets for dessert. It was such a nice touch and really showcased their love and appreciation for their customers. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. read more

One word: overrated. I'm sure if this place wasn't listed in the sensationalized TowneLake square, it would not get half the attention. Aesthically, there no denying the page is not nice... but the good is subpar They offer an extensive menu but I've been twice and it's nothing to run back to. Sorry. Not. Sorry. I wish people would give other local places a try and skip this joint. The service was standard. Go elsewhere. Use your night out for somewhere else. read more

If you need to escape the city and want to drive to a place right by the water try Union Kitchen on Towne Lake Boardwalk .Patrick was our favorite waiter at the Memorial location so when we heard he moved to Cypress we decided to check this location. Patrick was right on when he recommended the Cypress salad with mixed greens, oranges apples ,feta ,strawberries candied pecans, and garbanzo beans in a blueberry vinaigrette. What an amazing dish to end the summer (With additions of chicken and salmon ) If you are a carnivore they even can add a hanger steak fillet. If you don't mind the Texas heat ,the outside tables by the water are worth a view. Definitely will be back!!! read more

This is our fourth visit here and third time with Zanetta, their waitress. Zanetta makes us feel welcome and her service is impeccable. We ordered bang bang shrimp and voodoo balls for appetizers and thin crust mushroom pizza and daily special, ahi tuna on snow peas with pineapple and Avocado topping. The voodoo balls were new to us and we really enjoyed them. As to bang bang shrimp, Bonefish Grill can't be beaten. The pizza crust with cauliflower was very good. They should have put the sauce they served with it on the side because over time, the sauce made the crust soft. The ahi tuna was not only beautiful to look at, it was delicious. I would order that again. Over all, it was a great lunch experience. read more

Waited over an hour for food that was honestly not worth it. Service was slow and disorganized -- we had to flag people down just to get refills. When the food finally arrived, all four plates were lukewarm at best. Fries were soggy and the pasta was cold. Disappointing experience overall at this location. read more

We finally got a chance to stop in and check the place out. We ordered the On the border chicken fried chicken and the Shrimp and Jalapeno Smoked Gouda Grits (minus the sausage). I stopped by Union Kitchen for lunch today and I'm so happy I did. The drinks were good, the food was great, but what really stood out to me the most was the exceptional customer service we received from Dessalyn. She was not only super friendly and knowledgeable, but she was also so attentive to our table, she answered all questions we had, and offered great options to try on the menu. She definitely made a lasting impression & I will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you Dessalyn for the great experience!! read more

Emily is awesome sauce! What an amazing experience she created for my partner and I. All we could do during dinner was regale ourselves with tales of Emily's 1st class service. We visited on a weekday so they weren't busy. We got a table right away. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. I asked for the burger not to be charred and it came charred, but they fixed it. The issue I had was the lemon we requested for the water had mold in it. Not a tiny spot but a a big area (1 lemon piece had the entire surface covered with mold, the 2nd one had half the surface covered with mold) and across several lemon pieces, and the server did not notice it. She replaced it when we asked but did not act surprised and did not apologize. It's scary that they do not inspect the food that was coming out to the tables. read more
