We visited on a weekday so they weren't busy. We got a table right away. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. I asked for the burger not to be charred and it came charred, but they fixed it. The issue I had was the lemon we requested for the water had mold in it. Not a tiny spot but a a big area (1 lemon piece had the entire surface covered with mold, the 2nd one had half the surface covered with mold) and across several lemon pieces, and the server did not notice it. She replaced it when we asked but did not act surprised and did not apologize. It's scary that they do not inspect the food that was coming out to the tables. read more

Very good American cuisine and excellent service. Nice atmosphere and able to have conversation at the table and enjoy a meal!

Can't comment on the food, as we didn't eat. So why one star? Simple. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. Made a reservation for 7, they said they had a heated patio so why not. Outdoors sounds fun with patio heaters. Get there and thought we'd ask to sit inside since it was a tad colder than we anticipated. They were super full. Meh okay we can just do the patio. We get back there and there are zero folks out there. And all the heaters were pushed in the corner. Asked if they could roll a couple in and she said "oh no we don't have any propane". Honestly? You weren't going to mention that when we checked in or had a backup plan contingency for the folks who had put to sit on the patio? Terrible execution. It's not like they didn't have time to prepare for folks, it's a texas winter. Patio heaters are the norm. So, suffice to say we all left and went to ambriza, which would you believe...had propane. I've eaten at union kitchens before so it wasn't a huge loss not being able to eat there. Just really inconvenient. Anyway, I guess if you want to sit outside make sure to confirm they have propane. read more

I went for lunch with a friend and later for dinner with my husband food was pretty good good flavors and good portions. Both times the staff was super nice and accommodating drinks were good too! I will definitely be back again. The area was nice you can go for a walk right after dinner along the water. read more

This place use to be so much better. I don't know if it's the staff or the kitchen but our food took at least 45 mins and they forgot our appetizer which would have helped our hunger. The place was busy when we got there for a Tuesday night, but I still think it could have been manageable if the waitstaff would help each other. We might give it one more shot before deciding if it's gone downhill. We ordered the salmon special, the Greek wrap, and kid fettuccine. Food was decent. read more

I would like to say that the front staff was kind and attentive, especially our waiter Nelson. Though good was not great . My pasta chicken had overcooked, dry chicken and green beans not steamed enough they were to crunchy and hard. I wanted to like this place, but I will have to reconsider. This was on a Friday at lunch time. read more

I ordered margherita pizza and there was lot of cheese on it and the base was soggy and couldn't lift even a single slice. Also ordered grilled cheese from kids menu but the bread was too thick for kids or even for adults to eat. But the ambiance is nice. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Can't complain about the service. read more

Came here for Sunday brunch with my friends today. We came on a suggestion from Facebook. They have penny mimosas during brunch. $13.95 for the first glass and a penny for every one after. Needless to say I decided to indulge. I think our favorites were the grapefruit and the cranberry ones!! We all decided to order the same thing because the couple behind us ordered it. We got the chicken fried steak and eggs and it was sooooo good!! The eggs needed some salt and pepper but alcohol makes anything taste better. This place is cute and trendy and packed. Get here early so y'all can enjoy your penny mimosas!!! The service here is great but was a little slow at first. They were super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back soon!! read more

Food: Excellent **** Service: Excellent **** Ambiance: Dismal * The fact the MANAGEMENT allowed two tables to be profane at length and disturb other patrons is inexcusable. Of course we didn't say "the drunks that are being perverse, profane, and self consumed " were bothering us and everything is fine. I believe Annie was our waitress and she seemed horrified. Chris, their waiter was harassed and in ways that are not socially acceptable. Overall the experience would have been 4 stars if it was not for the tables causing the disturbance and not being addressed by management. read more

When I visited their venue, I loved the Calamari, Voodoo Balls and Chimichurri Steak. Let me explain why these items are my favorite. The Calamari was very tasty and perfectly fried leaving it's to be crisp with an explosion of flavor. You can tell they were seasoned before being battered and that the batter used, was seasoned. Voodoo Balls come wrapped in Bacon with a slightly sweetened BBQ sauce glaze. Reminded me of a side you would eat at Franklins BBQ. Chimichurri Steak carried with it, a great variety of herbs within the chimichurri sauce. I could also taste the notes of garlic and olive oil. The steak itself was very tender, so much so, you could cut it with a spoon. Believe me, I actually tried and succeeded with a spoon. I expected nothing less from a Hanger Steak cut. The steak was accompanied by colorful seasonal vegetables such as summer squash, field carrots and zucchini. Seasoned grits offered a nice smooth, creamy replacement for the traditional pairing mashed potatoes. What a well balanced meal. I would certainly give this place another go. I didn't take a selfie but here is a pic of the dish which compliments the quality of the restaurant quite nicely read more

Just walked out. I sat at the bar to order TO GO. Sat at the bar for 15 minutes only to never be acknowledged by the bartender at all. WOW!

My spouse and I have can coming here for a few years now. Their chicken fried steak used to be one of the best I've ever had, but now it's lacking seasoning and the batter falls off--plus it comes with batter as if it's a much larger piece of meat. The potato hash used to be lightly crisp potatoes with red onions, but now it's just soft potatoes with no flavor. Also, their mimosa deal now is awful. Oh and their biscuits are bricks except for the very center. Hopefully they can take advice of their customers & staff and return to the good food & value they used to offer. read more

This was a hit for me! The vibes are cute, I love how it's a little industrial but still a vibe. I got the Honey Sriracha Salmon and it was so good. The veggies were a highlight as well! Also got some grits on the side and those weren't my favorite. They were just lacking seasoning; nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix though! Service was very good!! I had Zenetta as my waitress and she was very attentive. Can't wait to go back and try something new :) read more

It was an off day for this establishment but one day does not a restaurant make. We wanted to treat our son and his new girlfriend to lunch and ended up here. Our waiter, JJ, was personable and knew the menu well. I took his suggestion on the grilled cheese with short rib and he was dead on. More tender meat than cheese this was a rich and filling sandwich. Two other members of my party ordered the house burger, one opting out of the aioli and choosing sweet potato fries, the other opting to skip tomato with regular fries. Neither of those apparently simple orders ever made it to the table correctly. The first attempt saw the burger without tomatoes tumble off the plate along with the large knife skewering it and onto Marc's girlfriend's arm. The knife is a new trick and hopefully will be revisited. While the mess was cleaned up quickly, no one (besides members of our party) checked on the young lady. She had some grease slathered on her arm which we addressed but staff should have at least inquired. The second burger in the order was placed on the table but featured the aioli that was supposed to be in absentia. We pointed that out and the waiter grabbed the burger and placed in front of Marc whose burger was being recooked. Never mind he had ordered regular fries and a burger without tomato. On top of all that this burger also had an uninvited extra avocado so it appeared someone had grabbed the wrong burger to start with from the kitchen. When the replacement burger arrived it featured copious amounts of aioli precisely what was wrong with the burger sent back. I'm guessing the kitchen prepared a replacement for the spilled burger and not the returned burger blissfully unaware the waiter had switched recipients. A third burger was crafted for us to take home as lunch was over for the rest of the table. The manager comped one burger (really think he should have done both but the boy removed the offending veggies and ate half) and was very apologetic. We've been here before and the food is great. Just a bad luck day. We will be back to give you that fifth star. read more

Update: Anthony, one of the managers, has reached out several times to apologize and make things right. We've played phone tag for a few days but all is well. My main concern was to let them know so that they can correct the issue and not have any more problems. Anthony was proactive in calling me and speaking with his staff. I'm looking forward to dining there again soon. Been here several times. It's always been great service and great food. This is the first time eating from here since the whole COVID thing. I ordered over the phone just some dessert. A slice of cheesecake to be exact. Went in, made my purchase, tipped and left. When I got home I opened the box and was let down. A $10 slice of cheesecake should be impressive. Are times hard? Of course they are but you don't take that out on the consumer. This slice was about 60% less than what you would normally receive from Union Kitchen. The last time I ordered from there we could barely finish 1 piece (2 people) and that was all we ordered, only dessert. I'm all about supporting restaurants but this was quite sad. Hopefully this was a fluke and they don't do this regularly. Check your to go orders before leaving and speak up if you aren't satisfied. *Sorry, no pic. read more

Terrible...terrible...terrible!!! We have chosen this restaurant for Homecoming based on the restaurant menu for my 2 teenagers and 2 friends. When the 4 arrived at the restaurant they were told that their choice was only a Homecoming set menu that had chicken tenders and fries or fettuccine Alfredo (without chicken or shrimp) for $30! Chicken tenders and fettuccine are only on the kids menu...Nowhere was published that there is going to be a set menu! Management completely too advantage of the situation! Even during the reconfirmation process, a day before, there was any mentioning of a set menu! On top of that, the food was terrible and they were forced to pay a 20% service fee! We will never step food in this restaurant and we will tell all of our friends! This is a review from an ex-owner of a restaurant... read more

Good quality food, but uncomfortable atmosphere with internal politics that spill into customers experience.. long wait, wrong or partial order delivery, open menu debates between staff and management with customer in middle? union kitchen May be another victim of woke culture rot.. risk of revenge by protected class staff felt high. Too risky to leave other pics. $90 for food only lunch for 3 like this? Safer going elsewhere. Good luck read more

Very nice place in front of the lake, making for a very relaxing experience, food was good, and service was very nice. We liked it.

I chose to get Valentine's Day takeout for my daughter and I here. It's located in Towne Lake Cypress, TX. I've visited this location as another restaurant named Jax's. It wasn't busy so I waited for my order at the bar which didn't take long since I'd called in the order. The staff was very friendly. My menu items included- Lobster Potstickers, risotto, avocado chicken burger, egg rolls, and avocado spinach dip - were neatly packaged. I enjoyed all the items except the risotto which was cold and lacked flavor. Sadly, I disposed of it. Towne Lake is busy and it's nice to have great dinner options. read more

Food service quality, just dressed up with fancy names. My redfish dish was over $25 and barely edible. Grits were lumpy and firm with no Gouda flavor whatsoever. The Shrimp ettoufee topping was some seasoned. Heavily breaded popcorn shrimp thrown on top. Service was mediocre. Plates handed to you instead of set on table, server pointed at plates for you to hand to him when he was clearing the table. I just expected more. read more
